The best, but pricey. Best to take simple jobs like an easy cleaning, glueing, etc. somewhere else. If you need custom work of any kind this is the place. I wish they had a different counter person. The guy before was so much nicer and I appreciated his opinions. He was honest. Regardless, I will continue to be a patron.

I delt with the young handsome fellow Angel… amazing!!! This place is a real Hollywood Jem. I have all my high end handbags cleaned here. I have my shoes fixed, altered, and I have even had a custom pair of boots made here. They made a mold of my foot and constructed the most beautiful and comfortable Cinderella fit boots I have ever stepped foot in… And these soles are the prize of my shoe collection… Thank Andre number one for still believing in quality!!! In a sell out world of «made in China».

Been coming here for YEARS, because I love their work. I expect prices to go up with time, but the cost for simple fixes have now become out of control!
You want custom shoes? This is the place. Have a difficult issue to fix? This is the place.
Don’t come here to replace the little heel cap on your pumps, to have your suede cleaned and protected, or to recolor the scuffs on your shoes.
Gary has always been delightful, but the other man working the front desk who is rough around the edges and doesn’t know how to be kind and appreciative of long times customers.
I left there with 3 out of the 4 pairs of shoes I came in with because of over pricing, feeling beat up by the front desk guy!

Excellent service and top notch repair!
I brought in my john varvatos bowery button boots for repair (the buttons were starting to come off) and Andre No. 1 did an incredible job! The boots are like new! Hats off to these guys! Quick turnaround, great price, and friendly staff who knew what to do! Much appreciated! Also, free parking in the lot behind the place (off Fairfax), which is a huge plus in WeHo area!

Gary is great! High tech foot modeling tech used to create the foot shaped last (the model that is shaped just like your foot — few in the country create lasts this exact)… These guys are pricey but they are the best according to my other shoe industry friend. Hope these guys continue to succeed!

Best quality shoe repair in Los Angeles! Gary, Angel and Annie at the front are the nicest and truly care that the work be done right. They completely refinished my favorite Kooba bag inside and out. it looks better now than when I first got it! And I take all of my shoes there including for dance. Thank you!

This is the best place I have had my shoes fixed and cleaned. The first time I brought in my coach sandals because the strap broke. I talked to Angel who is AWESOME and knows everything about shoes. They have cleaned up my UGGS, and repaired the heels on my Chanel stilettos. I only come here now. LOVE THEM.

The absolutely worst experience at a shoe repair ever. Quoted one price and charged another when I went to pick up item. RIP OFF!!! Plus, the soles they replaced started peeling off after a week.

Definitely really pricey. I think I paid $ 60 or $ 65 to have one broken heel repaired on my Manolos. They did a great job though and polished the pair without additional cost. Overall, since these are my favorite pair of heels, I’d say the cost of repair was worth it.

GONE TO HELL. This should be a one star review but they really talented at leather. Went in to drop off my wife’s shoes. 3 pairs cost 130 dollars. For a «cleaning» really? Now the normal nice guy whinhas been there at the counter is replaced by a pompous, arrogant person who informed me that payment is now required first. Goodbye Andre’s #1 I will find a replacement, happily. I have been a customer for 10 plus years. Never again.

This is THE place to bring your favorite shoes!
They have narrowed the calf on inexpensive boots to make them look like they were made for me.
They have made 15 year old expensive suede boots look like new.
They have stretched gifted Louboutins that were too small for me.
They told me NOT to mess with an expensive pair of Ralph Lauren boots.
I go so often, that they even fixed a belt for me for free one day while I waited.
They are polite, friendly, and true artisans that will inform of you of what your expectations should be and then exceed them by a notch.
You get what you pay for and they will extend the life of your faves or restructure something that isn’t quite right.
Get yourself to the cobblers to the stars! (Check out the names on the boxes while you wait)

I have taken numerous expensive shoes (Louboutin, Isabel Marant, etc.) to Andre No. 1, and without a doubt, there is nobody better in town. The attention to detail in their workmanship is without equal. I drive from Santa Monica to take my shoes to Andre… the hour in the car is worth it. Don’t forget to check out some of their crazy custom creations in the front of the store.

Oh. My. God. BLOWN AWAY. These guys are GOOD. I brought in a pair of Dolce VIta suede and leather heels that had been physically abused by rough nights out and an Alexander Wang bag that Barney’s told me could never be repaired back to it’s original color because «that’s just how leather ages». Forget ever having damaged shoes or bags. This place will take your belongings and make them like the first day you bought them. This is NO exaggeration. The price is high: 60 for the bag and 65 for the shoes (yes they were that bad) but it is SO worth every single penny.

We’ve never had any experience when cobblers/​leather repairs, but this was the place the Hollywood Balenciaga recommended to shorten the detachable strap to my wife’s beloved Velo bag. They apparently send all their customers here.
They were very nice and patient when her questions for reassurance that everything would be done right (again never had any experience with leather alterations so a teeny bit unsure).
Cost about $ 30 – 35 (it’s been a couple months since we did this), and well worth it for a $$$ item. It was done PERFECTLY. The seams at the ends were sealed like the original and even the thread color was spot on (her bag is in Anthracite — a sightly greyish teal color). Only took about 3 – 4 days to pick up. Will be going here from now on for any leather goods repairs/​alterations.
BTW, it shares a paid parking lot with the Rite Aid, so remember to validate!

Best shoe repair in town. Absolutely worth the price. I recently tried a shoe repair in Hollywood called «Raffy’s» and had a terrible experience. It was cheap and you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I paid for a pair of my favorite shoes to be ruined.
If you love your shoes and what a high quality experience, Andre #1 is the only choice. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
