Alberoni Jewelry Engraving

I have a 150 year old pocket watch that needed monogrammed engraving done for a graduation present. I went to Aahs and other places offering engraving but they all thankfully said they only do machine engraving, and my project required hand engraving.
It has been very challenging to find a good and reputable person to do this. I found Alberoni on Unilocal and checked Google reviews too. Looked good. I called and sent a photo of the watch. He said he could do this.
I headed down town, which is not very convenient to where I live, parked, and found his office. I dropped off the watch after he hand designed what the monogram would look like and the work was very impressive.
I just picked up the watch and am very happy with the results! He took very good care of this family heirloom and the engraving turned out great. I highly recommend this jeweler.

This guy does GREAT work. The GF (er…fiancée now, I guess) was looking for someone to engrave a wedding ring with a specific design we’d worked out; the (otherwise outstanding) jeweler who made the ring referred us to an engraver who said it wasn’t possible to get that design done; the work was too fine, too difficult. Alberoni took a look at e-​mailed pics of the design and our ring, and said «sure, does next Tuesday work for you?» And the result was GREAT. Exactly what we’d hoped for, executed beautifully.
It can be a little hard to find the studio — I mean, not locating-​the-​lost-​city-​of-​the-​Incas hard, but he’s located in a warren of the jewelry district that does not seem to see too many folks from outside the jewelery business. But then again, once you’re there, you sort of feel like an insider in the biz, just ’cause you know he’s there.
Four stars (instead of five) because he doesn’t actually take credit cards, which seems a little archaic in this day and age. He does take PayPal, though, that’s something (as well as cash and checks, of course). Overall, I would not hesitate to take something to Alberoni again.
