Dr. Snyder has been practicing in the Los Feliz community since 1982. Dr. Snyder is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle surgery from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. For the last ten years Dr. Snyder has served as Residency Director for one of the more prestigious podiatric residency programs in the area. In addition to practing in Los Feliz, Dr. Snyder also works part time at the Veterans Administration Hospital, as well, serves as a consultant for the diabetic foot care program at the City of Hope National Medical Center.

Dr. Snyder is a member of both the American Podiatric Medical Association and the California Podiatric Medical Association, as well as the Los Angeles County Podiatric Medical Society.

I don’t feel like I got a good diagnosis and was being upselled. He was asking me about my employment and where I went to school, maybe to make conversation, but after he found out he started recommending expensive treatment options without a thorough examination or explanation. Also I had to wait 30 minutes after my appointment when I was the only one in the waiting room.
Also don’t pay up front. They overcharged me by double.

I will start this off by saying Dr. Snyder was really nice and helped my foot. My issue is with billing. I came here twice for a cortisone shot. I have insurance which covers such shots for a $ 10 co-​pay. The office still said I needed to pay upfront and they will reimburse me if my carrier pays them. These visits were in January and April of this year. Curious, I called my medical carrier and they said they paid my claims months prior. I called and spoke with whoever handles billing. She did not apologize or seem affected at all. She simply took my address and they mailed me a check. If it happened one time I would understand as mistakes happen, but it happened both times I went here.
It really is shame because he really did help my foot.

I had such a good experience visiting Dr Snyder. After seeing another podiatrist where the average wait time was 90 minutes per appointment, it was so refreshing to be seen right on time. Dr Snyder was so nice and so charming, I was sad when the appointment was over! He got me in and out of there in twenty minutes with my problem solved! I

Very amiable doctor! I saw four specialists this summer for different items that needed to be corrected, and he was my favorite. I had mallet toe surgery, and it is starting to heal. Finally had bandage changed and everything looks good. His staff are very helpful and there is an all around good atmosphere. Very upfront and knowledgeable.

What a nice office, staff, and most importantly, doctor.
He shaved down to my plantar’s wart and dropped acid on it, and it hurts now, but the point is it needed to be done and he was the doctor to do it.
Take your feet to him.

Came here with a bad infection in my toe. They gave me same day appointment and I didn’t wait at all from my appt time to get called. Very nice doctor who didn’t make me come back and did his procedure right there on the spot. He was very nice and comforting. Staff was nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend him.
I felt like I was in professional hands especially when he was injecting my toe.

I have had a series of custom orthotics made for me over the years for my flat feet. Since I live in Hollywood I thought I would try a podiatrist closer to home rather than the west side office I had been using. it was my understanding that the orthotics would cost $ 187.50 which was in line with what I had been paying. when I received a bill for $ 375.00 for my orthotics I was shocked and dismayed. They had never told me that this would be the cost and I feel I have been ripped off!
I will never use this podiatrist again.
A total medical rip off.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Snyder after reading his positive reviews on Unilocal.He provided a very knowledgeable and reassuring assessment of some numbness I’d been feeling in one of my toes, which resolved itself soon after my visit. He was very courteous and helpful, and had a wonderful bedside manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is experiencing issues with their feet.

Dr. Snyder went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during my visit, despite my nerves as I was about to get a procedure done for an ingrown toenail. He was extremely personable, friendly, and easy to talk to. He worked very carefully and efficiently, getting the job done in under 10 minutes. He thoroughly explained the recovery process and what I needed to do for my toe to fully heal. I was very nervous going into this by myself, especially since I can’t stand needles or being cut open, but Dr. Snyder put me at ease immediately and did an incredible job. I would absolutely recommend him to all!

Dr. Snyder and his staff are great!
I was seeing a different podiatrist for a fracture in my foot, but her office was so condescending and seemed to only care about money that I decided to seek care somewhere else. I had been in a walking boot for about 4 months by this time.
I found Dr. Snyder on Unilocal and stopped in to see if they had any openings that day. The receptionist was lovely. It happened to be raining and they had a few cancellations. Lucky me! I came back a few hours later for my appointment and as I was waiting in the room for Dr. Snyder, he poked his head in and said he’d be right with me. A few minutes later he came into the room and listened to my story. He told me we needed to get me out of the walking boot and walking normally again.
As we took x-​rays and he explained everything to me, Dr. Snyder was very personable and professional. He also has a great quirky personality that puts you at ease.
I felt very safe in Dr. Snyder’s care and am so glad I found him! The office isn’t fancy, but it’s very clean and professional. He doesn’t try to upsell you and I trust his advice. Dr. Snyder really cares about his patients and it shows.
I highly recommend his office!

I’m feeling quite grateful at the moment.
A few weeks ago, I stepped on small metal post.
I finally went to Urgent Care yesterday because my foot was very sore and just not improving. I’d already started antibiotics 5 days earlier, reluctantly, because of infection risk, so the trip to Urgent Care was a last ditch effort.
Once there I had to suggest an X-​ray, and sure enough there were two small pieces that had broken off and were deep (deep) in my foot. The Urgent Care doctor cut it open and tried to extract but could not. He referred me to Dr. Synder, who I saw today.
Dr. Snyder was not sure he could get them without a real surgical environment, but he gave it his best and — succeeded.
The office has a great vibe. Not a fancy building or neighborhood, so don’t let that mislead you. He worked very hard to minimize the pain of numbing me (that should be a movie title), with a very gentle and knowledgeable manner.
I recommend him with great confidence.

He got a piece of glass out of my foot that I had been living with for months. Another doctor had tried and failed. The procedure was pretty much pain free and he was careful, professional, and a super nice guy. Highly recommend!

I had an issue with my big toe and it was hurting me for 4 months so I finally decided to get it looked at. I used Unilocal to locate a local toe doc and found Dr. Alen. I must say he was very nice and affordable. I don’t have health insurance and he took the inconsideration when I had to pay. I highly recommend him.

I never thought I would need a podiatrist but I guess I’ve come to that point in my life.
Dr. Snyder is a pretty nice and honest guy.
I ran a half marathon and my toe nail lost contact with the nail bed so it just fell off… I was so scared because I never had this happen to me before.
He just told me to wait it out until my nail grows back…
I really appreciate doctors that tell you the truth instead of trying to trick you into getting all these treatments or get prescription medicine when you dont need it.
So I guess I now have a podiatrist??? lol

My sister and I have several medical issues, our bunions have been a big one for many years. Dr. Snyder has been, hands down, the best physician I’ve ever had. His work is stellar, and even better, he has a superb bedside manner.
He won’t charge you an arm and a leg either! He works with what your insurance can afford and aims to do the minimal treatment necessary to get the job done, but avoid unnecessary work. Overall, I was beyond impressed! I’ve gone to pricey doctors for a long time and I truly appreciate finding this gem of a practise.
P.S.
I’m sorry to hear about the outliers in the other reviews who had a disappointing experience with Dr. Snyder. I can assure you, I’m not a staff member or related to Dr. Snyder. Also, Do NOT be fooled by the location — it truly doesn’t do his practise justice but he’s not big on high fees or pumping your insurance. Finally, I am also very crictical of physicians so I don’t give out glowing reviews too often. Trust me, I’ve seen some pretty bad ones! Dr. Snyder is about as good as they come!
