After months — if not years — of putting it off, I finally decided to try acai. Not that I didn’t want to, I just didn’t feel any urge for it. Well, how ignorant was I! Guys at Acai Nation have convinced me from my very first visit yesterday that acai was the real deal. Not only is it way tastier than I expected, but it keeps you full for way longer than any juice or smoothie you’ll find on this planet. Add to this a friendly service and you get 5 stars from a naysayer now turned into an acai street team member!

I have been to Acai Nation a number of times and usually visit roughly once a month, but after today’s experience, I won’t be going back anytime soon. The employees who work here need a lesson in customer service. When I visited this location today, I ordered ONE smoothie and for some reason was charged for two. When I told the cashier that I was charged for two, they said that they had to call their manager in order to refund me my money for the second smoothie that I didn’t order. It took more than 10 minutes for the cashier to reach her manager. When the other cashier finally spoke to the manager on the phone to square away my refund, she gave me my refund in cash and change. I asked her if she could credit my credit card, which I used to purchase my smoothie, and she said she couldn’t, adding, «At least you’re getting your money back …» At least I’m getting my money back? It wasn’t my fault that I was charged for two smoothies rather than one. The cashiers weren’t even apologetic about the mistake and the additional time that I had to wait for them to reach their manager followed by the time it took them to make the smoothie I did purchase, which they couldn’t even remember the ingredients it called for. Ordering ONE smoothie with three ingredients is about as easy of an order as you can have, and yet, they couldn’t get it right. And thanks to your cashier’s rude and snippy attitude, you won’t be seeing my business anymore, Acai Nation.

The best Acai Bowl place I’ve been too, small shop seating outside. They had two young ladies working were nice. The bowls cost about $ 8.50 each they have own creations made or you can make your own. Overall a great spot I will definitely be back when I am in the area

My absolute favorite spot to get a snack. They make the delicious acai bowls right I front of your eyes. The service is great, they even know my name! The almond French vanilla granola is my favorite and there is just nothing else like it! This healthy treat is worth every penny!

Best Acai bowl I’ve ever had due to their great quality ingredients. I did have to wait 20 minutes for my bowl as the place is small and was busy.

They don’t use the actual acai ice cream anymore, they use the acai packets. I don’t know if they use a different company anymore but it didn’t taste the same as it did before.

This place is great, I actually prefer it over Juice Crafters. I love the atmosphere! Only compliant is that the employees don’t seem too pleased to be there. Which makes it kinda a bummer. However it’s still worth going to :)

I go back between this place and brentwood’s and both are AMAZING!!! I’ve had great experiences in both locations. Customer service has been great. Staff is really friendly and the acai bowls are simply«died and gone to heaven» worthy! i’m a frequent customer and happy that I found this little gem.

Beyond delicious, the best acai bowl I’ve had so far. Got the Rio de janiero and loved it, plus the owner I believe, is very nice & such in a good mood. Gave free refreshers too that I found just as great.

I’ll admit it, I was pretty skeptical about this place – I don’t really buy into the whole acai berry trend, and their prices are higher than what I would normally pay for a similar snack. But I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was! I ordered one of their suggested combos which included the acai berry slush(I’m sure there’s a more appetizing name, but that’s what it looks like!), granola flavor of my choosing, and several different kinds of fresh fruit. Everything was super tasty, and also quite pretty to look at. I got the medium, which is actually a small as they only offer two sizes.(A silly pet peeve of mine, but if there’s no middle option, there’s no medium!) It was pretty substantial, and I noshed on it for quite a while. They also offer a frequent customer card, which is a nice touch. I’m not in the Palisades that often, but the next time I found myself nearby I would make it a point to stop here again. Yum!

Definitely delicious but pricey. For $ 1.25 i think they should be a bit more generous with their toppings, especially the fruit. They put all the toppings except a little granola on the bottom, for the medium this doesn’t pose an issue but the large is so tall i find myself finishing the toppings with the first half of the bowl. Wish they advertised the acai product they use. It also gets a bit loud due to the blenders being right next to the cash register and the high volume music they have playing.

I love Acai bowls. Whenever I am out and about, looking for something healthy to eat, Acai bowls are the first thing I look for. It is so refreshing and beneficial. This place is awesome! Very fun and friendly staff, there’s a cool summer/beachy vibe, and the Acai bowl is great. There’s a ton of different options to choose from including almond butter, and peanut better.

My experience was tainted by lackluster customer service. How excited I felt when I saw an acai bowl place, especially since this is my current obsession! My favorite place is Ubatuba, but alas, it’s so far from me that I’m trying to find somewhere closer, usually being met with disappointment since its never as good as Ubatuba. :0 First, my experience, then I’ll speak of the blend: they only had a menu of set bowls. When I asked about a custom, they said they could switch out some toppings for other toppings. They were unclear about it. I chose the large green bowl(which I assumed would include the blended kale, since it was part of the blend. I deleted the coconut flakes, strawberries, and granola(the toppings). Instead, I asked for bee pollen powder(weird, huh?), chia seed, and flax powder(less weird, but still), then I added sliced almonds(.50 extra). They ended up charging me for a medium(I said large). When I noticed they were making a medium, I told them I’d ordered a large. So they began the process of charging me more $ — which is when I realized they’d charged me for more than the additional almonds. They claimed the kale was also an add on, even though it was part of the blend – WTF? We argued over it(customer is not always right here)– they ended up not charging me the additional $– but they were rude and made it uncomfortable as I stood there waiting for my bowl. Now, the bowl: the blend is tasty, however, they wouldn’t tell me if it had sugar and wouldn’t let me see the packaging to confirm whether or not it has sugar. The blend, while tasty, is like a smoothie in a bowl– it melts quickly and is very liquid. I like the sorbet-type acai better(Ubatuba’s version) because I can get it home and enjoy. This one, I had to scarf down because when it melted it tasted like a stale green smoothie. The toppings were few, and they gave me whole almonds instead of sliced. Also, I asked for honey and they gave a small dollop, but said that it is usually considered an additional topping/up charge! Their superfood toppings are VERY expensive at $ 1.25/topping– at most places, they’re between .50-.75. $ 1.00 is expensive. Altogether, I won’t be back. The attitudes left me feeling unhappy, and the bowl wasn’t that good. I tried to suggest to the guy that they post a price for custom bowls with a certain number of toppings, but he literally kept talking over me(shocking, right?!) and wouldn’t receive the suggestion from a customer. Little do they know, I eat two acai bowls each day, 6 days a week. They lost a very valuable customer today.
