A Plus CPR 4 Less

Starting an EMT course in the Fall I wanted to get my certifications ahead of time. I found A Plus CPR for Less through the American Heart Association. It was a perfect time and day for me so I reserved a seat for my CPR class. Ziva was extremely friendly and she taught the class wonderfully. She got it right to the point, pointed out any corrections and just repeated and made sure everyone understood. I had such a great experience I decided to go back for my fire certification. Jeff was wonderful as well! He was very friendly and very knowledgable. He taught our supposed very long lesson in a short amount of time but I did not feel as if I missed out on anything. He taught the course well and also added in some of his own facts as well. We got to do a lot of hands on training in both courses and both instructors made everything fun. I will definitely be coming here to also do my first aid and I’ll be coming back for my renewals! I’d recommend this place to everyone! You will not be disappointed!

My Fire card was expiring very soon, I was panicking where to go and get it renewed. I found A+plus CPR online and was very delighted that I went with this company. Jeff Halpert (the instructor) made this class fun, engaging and best of all very informative. Jeff knows his stuff, very knowledgeable. This is the second time that I took this class, as I had to renew my certification. I love it! It is clear, and Zeva makes it easy to remember the information. I recommend it to anyone!

I needed CPR and First Aid training immediately when I realized my certification was expiring the next day. Bina and her team offered both a morning and evening class that same day. Registration online was smooth, the class went by quickly and was easy to follow. They were also most affordable place out of several others that I called.

I needed CPR & AED certification for my NASM CPT and this was my first and only choice. All reviews are 5 stars and it’s easy to see why. It’s affordable, straightforward and no b.s.
$ 50 for CPR/​AED, class was around 1.5 hours.

Really enjoyed this class and so glad I took it. My husband and I did not do it to get certified, we did it so we’re able to help in case of an emergency. Our friend was saved by two people who knew CPR and there truly isn’t a greater gift than saving our friends life. We suggest everyone take this course. We’ll be back in two years for a refresher! We adored the instructor and feel very confident now.

I’m definitely getting my recertification here again. There’s parking and the price is right; Bina was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and straightforward. Took about 2 – 3 hours and I left feeling confident in the material.

There is no way to describe how fascinated I am by this CPR class.
First off, let me say that I am already CPR certified by Red Cross. However, for UCLA care extender, I had to get certified by American Heart Association. Man, I was pissed. I began looking around and I found an instructor by the name of Ziva Halpert (turns out she is the owner) who was offering the class in incredibly close proximity to where I live. Great! I registered for a class on Sunday.
On Saturday night, Ziva called and emailed me to confirm that I would be coming the next day.
I showed up on Sunday at about 1:55 and Bina, our instructor met me outside and graciously gave me clear instructions on what we would be doing and how long the entire certification process would take. Once the class began, we went through all the necessary info required for BLS certification. Bina was clear, patient, professional and gave time to each of the students to understand the material presented before us. I mean, this IS CPR so any instructor should make sure they teach the material until the students get it. Bina did just that. After, we took a test (which I aced) and Bina handed me my card and a little kit with a face mask for emergencies.
I came at 2:00 PM and I was out at 4:05 PM. I am very impressed with this business and I am referring all my friends to this location. OH! And it was a mere $ 50 for the entire process.

A+ CPR is my favorite place to get BLS certified as I have to go through the process every two years for my job as an RN. They are very professional, friendly and have a straightforward and effective method for teaching you CPR.

Wow! This was the best BLS class I’ve ever taken. I really wish I had known about this class before, I would have done my past certifications here. Bina is amazing! She is so nice and welcoming. She is very knowledgeable and the way the course is set up really makes time fly by. Prices are affordable, $ 50 for the BLS course (plus you get a key chain with a face shield inside, score!) A+ for sure!

It’s my second time using this company. First time was with Ziva and now with Bina. Both are lovely and very knowledgeable. I was able to book an appointment very easily and last minute. Ziva responded with a phone call and email confirmation almost immediately. The next morning I met with Bina and was in and out quickly as all I had to do was perform my skills test. This is a great local family business.

I had a great experience at A+ CPR 4 Less! They were professional, made it interesting, and the facilities were clean and easy to find. Bina, our instructor, was extremely knowledgeable and made us all feel comfortable. It was not only a wonderful learning experience, but it was fun too. Ziva, the owner, was extremely personable and responded to my calls and texts promptly and with compassion. I highly recommend them and commend them for a job well done!

So far best CPR and First Aid class experience I have ever gotten. My class instructors were Ziva and Jeff, and both of them were extremely nice and especially helpful. Ziva would repeat important information in a fashion that helped me remember it. We trained with dummies and Ziva came around and helped anyone that was struggling. Ziva helped keep the class interesting with humor which really helped me pay attention!

I emailed A Plus CPR 4 Less, and received an immediate reply from Ziva. It turns out that they DO offer classes in home, too! This was great for us, since we have a new baby, and it’s difficult to take him places for extended stretches of time. I wanted to share a great moment for me. I saved a littles girls life today, she was drowning and I did CPR on her and got her back breathing and alert by the time the paramedics got there! Thank u Ziva for teaching me how to save a life. U played back in my head!!!

I’m certified, I’m certified, Baby, I’m CPR certified!
Ok, so you need a CPR class and you don’t know where to turn. For me, I turned to ‘A Plus CPR 4 Less’, and believe me when I say; they certainly live up to their name. A 5 star rating just isn’t enough to rate this course.
So here’s the skinny. I spent about 3 days on the internet trying to locate a good CPR class that was in my budget, nearby, and issued immediate certification following the class.
Of course like everything, there are loads of classes offered online. Some had an online class which for a first timer was not ideal, some were not in my budget, some made you wait to receive your certification, some had you pay additional for their text book, and some weren’t in my area.
Whatever the case, it turned out to be a blessing that I didn’t chose any of those classes, because when I searched the ‘American Heart Association’ website, they had a listing of all kinds of CPR courses in my area, with the instructors name, their business details and websites, the date and time of classes, and you receive your certification after completing the class, which is good for two years.
Ok, great, I chose ‘A Plus CPR 4 Less’ that was holding classes in Beverly Hills on Sunday morning or afternoon. Alright, alright, cuz the traffic in that area on a weekday is horrible.
So, I clicked on the link for their website
and discovered my instructor Ziva Halbert has designed her page to make it so simple to see the classes she offers, the cost for each, and she has an easy online registration form. So, now I found a CPR class that is local, affordable, and flexible. Yippee!
Shortly after registering online, I received a call back from instructor Ziva, confirming our class date for Sunday morning. She explained a bit about the class, the cost, and what to do when I arrived. She was so pleasant on the phone; I knew she was going to be cool and kind. I can’t wait.
Sunday morning, and I arrived 15 minutes early. I contacted her upon my arrival, and she met me and the 5 other students in the garage parking lot. Just as I suspected, she was cool, kind and beautiful. So off we went to begin our CPR class.
We filled out forms, made our payments, and it was on and crackin. We received a check list of procedures to do for CPR/​AED/​BLS, and watched videos. We did demonstrations on the mannequins, watched more videos, and then took our test. All in all it took only 3 hours, but it felt way less with all the interaction going on. After passing my test with flying colors, I felt like I could really save someone’s life if I had to. I was then given my certification in the form of a Healthcare Provider card.
Instructor Ziva with her hands on approach and clear explanation of the procedures we went through just brought everything to life. She helped to make it not just a memory course but an actual living and breathing course. Everything I learned is now embedded in my soul to remember what’s needed, if and when I should be called upon to save someone’s life.
I want to thank you instructor Ziva for being such a CPR Diva, and for making the class so enjoyable, informative and unforgettable. I will see you in two years when it’s time to renew. Until then, I am here, ready and able to save an adult, child or infant with true confidence.

I’ve gone to Ziva 2 times now and will continue to go back to her every 2 years for renewal. She’s fast, to the point and very kind and compassionate.

I needed my BLS for Healthcare Providers renewed ASAP and Ziva was able to squeeze me in for her class on the same day.
She is very fast at responding e-​mails and phone calls. Her class is fun and she makes sure everyone is learning.

To all my personal trainers out there looking for a cert, re-​cert or a quick refresher Ziva of A Plus CPR is the place to go. I needed my re-​cert ASAP and scheduling a time with her class was extremely easy. In fact, I got to do it the same day. For Red cross I had to wait weeks. May I add the price was even better! I went around 2:30 and there is way too much traffic coming from Glendale so if you’re out there I would suggest leaving an hour earlier to get there on time because it is near a school where there is so much traffic for carpool to pickup students (in which she mentioned I was able to skip all that and park in their garage for free). I was a few minutes late but she was very patient and took the time to wait for me as well as get up to speed with the class. Overall I had a great experience. Ziva is a great teacher. Look no further. I’ll be coming back when I need to do this all over again.

I lost my CPR card, so Ziva contacted the AMA, confirmed my training, and mailed me a new card. She was extremely efficient and I had the replacement card in less than a week. Her class was very efficient, and I had no complaints. If I’m still in LA, I will definitely go back in 2 years.

As a personal trainer, I’m required to carry a CPR card. I purchased this course because it was the best value I could find in Los Angeles. They also offered the most number of classes so it was easy to find something that worked with my schedule. The instructor was super chill, very friendly and positive too which is always nice because you’re spending a few hours together. The material was informative and covered more than just the basics.

I completed BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 through the AHA site and then completed Part 2 (skills checkoff) with A Plus CPR 4 Less. I worked with Ziva at the 9120 W. Olympic Blvd site. Ziva is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and made BLS a great experience. You know someone is that good when you wish that re-​certification was sooner than 2 years.
