I own a Samsung 6 edge. I broke it’s rear lense cover/glass. Checked with local vendors — a weeks time to repair and $ 100+ is what they said. I also walked into Att and Samsung stores. Same story. I was at Wilshire, searched for a Cell repair store and found 8th Street. I walk in to the store, 2 very professional ladies at the counter. Immediately attended me, besides the rush. One of them takes the cell in to their repair lab. Walks out the man himself ‘Shawn’. Gave me options to fix, we shook hands. And in less than 5 mins he himself fixed it and handed over my cell back, at 80% less cost charged. Phew! Thanks guys for a great service and keep up the good work.

I am a heavy cellphone user: I have my schedule, tasks lists and all kinds of notes on my cellphone. I was devastated when one day, the usb connector failed, and it wouldn’t charge at all! I was ready to spend around $ 100, and not being able to use my phone for a couple days. With 15% battery remaining, I found this place on Google maps and called to ask about the repair. **15** minutes later and $ 60 shorter, I had a brand new USB port installed on my phone! I almost could not believe it! Thank you again Shawn, you have earned my future business, and I will make sure to recommend your place to all of my friends.

Honestly, I thought about giving a 3 star rating because I had to wait so long for my phone to get fixed. The guy at the front told me that the tech would be in around 4 so I dropped off my phone around 3:30 since I had other errands to run. The same guy at the front told me the process would take about 1 – 2 hrs so I called back at 6. He said it wasn’t done and to wait for another hour. This repeated until about 9pm. However, the tech was gracious enough to stay past closing time and fix my phone. When I went back later that night to pick it up, it looked as great as the day I bought it. That’s why I give it 4 stars. In terms of wait time, I’d give it a 3 only because I kept being told to come back in an hr. In terms of professionalism(how good the phone looked after), I’d give it 5 stars. The work was incredible. It looks like I just bought it. In terms of friendliness, I’d give it 5 stars as well. The staff are all very friendly and even gave tamale/taco recommendations for me and my friends. I would definitely go back for services on my phone as they were helpful, had fair prices, friendly, and had pretty good customer service. __________________________________________________________________ Ok…so update… I originally gave this place a 4 star rating… however…not long after I repaired my screen, it broke again. Yea, that had to do with my own darn clumsiness. However, the reason I changed my rating from a 4 star to 2 star is because they used really cheap glue, which made it impossible to repair my phone the next time the screen shattered. Basically… if you’re looking for a cheap fix, this isn’t a bad place, as prices are cheap, and they do a pretty good job. However, if you’re looking for lasting, good quality repairs, I’d look elsewhere. By the way, this place was cash only the last time I went. They have a little ATM machine for you to use if you don’t have cash on you at the moment.

I took a phone here to have the screen replaced and as luck would have it an employee Andre stole all of the phones that were being repaired. As bad as that is, all businesses have problems… the mark of a good business is how they handle them. Not only did they replace my phone, they replaced it with a brand new model. I would go there again, but remember always keep your receipt just in case!

Has the best price for repairs in the area. But they’re so slow. They first told me 1 day, then 2 more days, then 1 more, then another. It ended up taking 5 days and when I kept calling each day to ask on the status of the repair they were making it seem like my fault because I had a «custom» phone. I didn’t. It was a color offered by Verizon and every other courier that sells the phone. I never got it custom made. When I went to pick it up they gave it to me without a Sim card. They had lost my Sim card. So they gave me a new one. To activate it with my courier it took another 45 minutes. I was literally just sitting there for over an hour. They didn’t give me a discount or anything for the numerous delays. They did give me a free screen protector, but considering they’re like $ 2 online. uhm. yeah I guess it could be worth the wait and annoyances because of the price, but if you’re someone who really needs your phone back quick, this is not the place. Also, they don’t take credit cards. They take debit but will charge you extra. So you need to have cash on you.

I don’t often give 5 stars, but this time it is well deserved. Sean is top notch and won me over with his customer service skills. I was referred to 8th street by another vendor on the westside of town. It was a far drive from Santa Monica, but I was assured it would be worth it. Not only did Sean have the cheapest quote I had received to repair my Galaxy 4 screen, but he also was able to complete the job in less than 30mins. He also threw in a screen protector at no charge. But where he went far and beyond the call of duty, was when I returned 2weeks later with a new issue. My phone was having reception issues, it wouldn’t retain a signal for long. I took the phone in to Sean to see if it was perhaps an antenna issue from the screen installation. Not only did he check the antenna, but he spent an hour going through possible scenarios and trying different solutions for the phone. Even though we knew discovered the screen was not an issue, he worked hard to get to the bottom of it. He replaced several parts and after process of elimination he figured out that it was a motherboard issue, and that I could just send it back to Samsung for relatively cheap. He was honest and didn’t try to up sell me to another option. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism and will definitely be a repeat customer.

i found them on Craigslist. Sean and the crew are very courteous… I was stuck there waiting for my cell to be fixed, and so I got to see their interactions with the other customers – this is a «very» neighborhood store. This is what a neighborhood store should be like — friendly, helpful, great customer service, fair prices, they know your name(kudos)…I support small private store owners — I support the entrepreneurship! if you wait for your phone to be fixed, it may take awhile so get a book to read in your car. Ask for Sean or Andre. These guys is great, they know their stuff, won’t cheat you and they are very professional. I had a phone that was broken and needed help. I was very pleasantly surprised that they were able to tell me what the possibilities were and how much it would be. They brought it back to life. This place is great. I saw their services ad on Craigslist, and verified their work on Howard Forums. I came wanting to unlock my phone and transfer it to another service. They’re fast, friendly, work well with people, and make sure you understand all of the processes as they go. Their tech rep Andre was abig help, and their sales staff are incredibly cute women(major ++++++) I will definitely come back for services on my phone!!!
