Good value. Came here for lunch by myself. A drink, 2 slices and a small green salad is only $ 7.72. Awesome.

Someone else said it best: apathetic. Unfriendly group of guys. Pizza toppings super chintzy. Tried it once with their coupon and won’t try again.

This is our go to pizza place. They have a good coupon for 2 pizzas for something like $ 24.99 for 2 large pizzas. They also give discount to Los Altos Little League and they will deliver right to the field. Pizza a great but nothing special.

The name«Spot A Pizza Place» is pretty fitting, because that is really all it is. Spot is just another average pizza place, the service is average, the ambiance is average, the pricing is average, and the pizza itself was average. Honestly the whole establishment just feels very apathetic about what is going on. If I am in downtown Los Altos for whatever reason, am in the mood for pizza, and I am short on time then yes maybe I will come back… but I really don’t see all of this happening anytime soon.

Pizza was average. Didn’t seem fresh and was not very generous with the toppings, especially on the combo. Not to mention they got also got 1 order wrong.

We have been ordering from Spot for years. Unfortunately the quality and service this year has gone down. The last 4 orders have been wrong and tonight the order was a complete disaster and cold and tasted terrible. I’m not sure how you can get a medium ½ pepperoni, ½ Hawaiian, small cheese and 4 sides of ranch wrong but they did. Very disappointing and we won’t be ordering from out former favorite pizza place anymore.

Screwed up big time on the delivery. Just about an hour late. Busy signal each time we called to check. Driver took the wrong order to the wrong place. Our guests left and we were not able to feed them the pizza we ordered. Come on Spot Pizza get your act together. Our delivery guy says«sorry I had too many deliveries»…well then if you can’t deliver than don’t offer that service.

Great food and friendly location. Staff was very helpful and with three kids we had plenty of complicated orders. Loved the Hawaiian and will be back for sure!

I’ve been going to spot for so many years now, but the place is not the same anymore. For one, there is a whole new staff that is quite unappealing. The guy(I believe who is the new general manager) with long, blonde hair always looks frantic and/or angry. I overheard him speaking with an employee with quite a rude attitude when the employee asked a rather reasonable question. I do not like him at all. On the other hand, the pizza is alright… it was way better when Jeff and Jess(previous managers) were running the store. Seems like the owner of this place just gave up. Spot used to be so lively and inviting, especially to the teen population. Not so much anymore… I don’t know if I’ll be coming back anymore.

Pizza is not bad, could be better, but portions can be wishy washy depending on whether the cashier likes you or not. Service is usually not bad. I ordered 2 slices of pizza, which usually takes a minute or so, but not this time. I paid for my pizza, but apparently they forgot to even put down my order. I was left waiting for 10 minutes! I would have never gotten my pizza if I never asked. This never happened with the well-trained staff, and they are hiring way too many untrained students, which leads to experiences and reviews like this. If you are looking for cheap pizza, remember you get what you pay for.

We’ve been going to Spot Pizza in Los Altos for years, but something has changed in the last month or so. Not only has the staff seemingly been completely replaced, but the pizza has changed. Specifically the crust is different and does not taste good. My family and I thought that it was a one time thing and gave it another chance, but it was the same. We won’t be going back.

I had always thought of joining Unilocal to share my experiences with other people who enjoy trying new things in hopes of a good experience. But I never made the time… My experience here was so sad, so careless, I feel I would be doing a disservice to not share. I created this account while sitting here to share my experience. When I arrived I had two people who look about 16, with careless attitudes and smileless faces, take my order without making any eye contact through the whole transaction and I wondered who’s running this place… Then I realize a young blonde girl, Micaela, sitting at a table handing out slices of pizza to her friends, while periodically walking behind the counter to eat ice cream. I think that’s against health code. If you’re going to spend your shift at a table, you might as well eat your ice cream there too, away from everyone else’s food. She was there with her friends for an entire hour or so. An elderly couple interrupts her and politely asked if a table was taken(employees stuff all over it) — the«manager» said«Ummmmmmmmmmm… no.» as she moved her stuff and began to walk away.(Table still dirty) The customer says«can you please wipe it for me???» And the blonde girl rolls her eyes and nods. I figured she must be the manager since her careless actions are in alignment with a careless staff. I then asked who the manager was to confirm, and turns out the manager is actually busy in the back. I notice there is no contact information or functioning website to even give feedback. It is clear nobody here gives one shit. The pizza cooks were the friendliest of everyone. That should tell you something. The people who’s first language is not English make more of an effort and give off a nicer vibe than the 3 people working the front. The pizza is a basic pizza experience as the majority of the reviews say, paired with with a subpar experience for the customer… I won’t be back. This place doesn’t seem like it goes with the overall feel of downtown los altos. P. S. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt upon arriving. A smiling face with a happy hello, hopeful for the same in return. I am not a critic, nor someone who looks for the negatives in experiences. I believe in good customer service because I believe in kindness and acknowledging one another as human beings. I always hope for the best, while being an ideal customer, and this place let me down big time…

I straight up hate the service and the people who worked there on Sunday June 14. Ordered 2 slices of pizza. Waited 20 minutes for 2 freaking slices. 2 other people in line after us got there’s in 5 minutes. WHATTHEFOOK. Also, how the hell are there 2 guys behind the counter using their phones and when we ask them something, they look away. If your employees can’t fucking do anything but stand there looking at their phones or counting the amount in the register, don’t let them work. The people that did that are 2 white dudes. About 6 to 6’3ft tall. I don’t care if you guys are the owner’s kids. If your kids don’t do shit, fuck your children for making your business look more crappy and giving worse customer service.

Their lunch specials are an awesome deal. It’s a great bet. My two favorite pizzas are vacation spot and quiet spot. Amazing use of pine nuts and pesto in quiet spot whilst feta cheese and basil in the other with that delicious crust, it even tasted great for the next day. We ordered pesto cheese bread and it tasted lip smacking. We cudn’t eat beyond pizza considering lunch specials are small. Its a perfect portion with may be one or two slices left over. We dined in and the service was pretty good. On an other day I got their spot light pizza and must i say it was spot on. Their salad is also decent enough and a great choice if you are in mood for something light. Personal favorites are Goat Cheese, Greek and Caesar with Goat Cheese topping the list. I take chance to run errands in downtown PA so that I can stopby @Spot’s for lunch.

OK pizza, with fast by-the-slice counter service and attractive lunch deals, in a doughy, thick-crusted US style(in my experiences so far — slices of cheese and pepperoni pizza). Within a few miles of this location, you can find: — Fancy pizza(Napoletana Pizzeria, Doppio Zero, Terún, Cucin Venti, Amici’s) — Mainstream pizza, various styles, chain(Round Table, Fast Pizza Delivery, Papa John’s, New York Pizza, Pizza My Heart, Blue Line, Mountain Mike’s,…) or independent(Maldonado’s, Mario’s Italiano, Frankie Johnnie & Luigi, Pezzella’s Villa Napoli, A Slice of New York,…) — Quick pizza, by-the-slice(Pizza My Heart, A Slice of New York) I’ve tried most of those many times(detailed Unilocal list for the MV area: ). Spot Pizza is «quick pizza.» It’s a local business with Palo Alto and Los Altos locations, doing a lot of trade in pizza by the slice. Four styles are kept ready(at busy times, you can see the production line and a backlog of assembled pizzas ready to bake). Attractive lunch specials(until 4:30) offer two slices(Cheese and/or Pepperoni) and a soft drink, $ 5($ 6 for fancier topping choices, Combo and Veggie); or one slice, salad, and drink for $ 5. Slightly pricier lunch specials at $ 6 – 8 include mini pizzas or hot sub sandwiches. Spot Pizza also has a typical menu of standard pizza toppings, plus salads and subs, and offers delivery and on-site dining. Spot Pizza is making a simple, mass-market pizza style with a thick risen crust. Slices in the lunch specials looked like they were from a 12 or 13″ diameter pie: notably smaller than the generous slices at Pizza My Heart and A Slice of New York(ASONY) – — ASONY is particularly good for slices, they specialize in it, the slices are huge, and in a more faithful and tasty NYC style than any local competitors. However, two slices with Spot’s thick crust were reasonably filling. While I’d never suggest making a special trip for Spot’s very ordinary pizza style(with so many other pizzerias making more interesting, even edgy, pizza styles and toppings within a few miles), still an efficiently served, filling lunch for $ 5 – 6 with some options and variety isn’t commonplace around here and I expect to stop in regularly when in downtown Los Altos.

Great! I was pleasantly surprised by the pizza from this place. Reading the reviews here made me a bit hesitant, but I ended up giving it a try through . New york style pizza is great, but not all great pizzas are new york style. I do love me a good legit new york style pizza, but they are few and far between out here in CA. But the other pizza-love of mine is pizza regina in boston, and I’ve been missing it for a while now. Thanks to spot a pizza place, I ordered a pizza with salami/pepperoni/onion/bellpepper/mushroom, and to my delight it reminded me of pizza regina. Not quite the same and not quite as good, but considering we’re in california, this is a godsend! Thanks spot a pizza place, I’m so glad we found each other. Can’t wait to order more next time!

Creative pizza with kind of creepy/cute names(quiet spot, hiding spot, blind spot… ticklish spot?) Still tasty though! I got this pizza delivered to my office via Doordash, so I can’t speak for the in-restaurant experience, but I certainly can speak for the food itself, and it was great! We got two medium pizzas. Each medium was enough I’d say enough to feed two VERY hungry people, or three regularly-hungry people. At $ 15.95, that’s a pretty good deal coming out to less than $ 6 a person if you split it three ways. What we loved the most about the pizza was the soft and substantial crust! We were so tired of «fancy» thin crust pizza with crusts that sagged under the weight of their toppings. These slices were topped with meat and lots of cheese and the crust definitely held up underneath! Definitely not your Domino’s «cardboard pizza crust» either, it tasted fresh and soft — delicious. I also got a Chicken Ceasar Salad which was so good with fresh crunchy romaine lettuce(you’d be surprised how many place do lettuce wrong!) and delicious and flavorful sliced chicken throughout. And lots of croutons — because, what’s a salad without some tasty carbs anyway? The Pesto Cheese bread was interesting and simple — pesto sauce with cheese over it, melted on a french bun. Nothing extraordinary, but a fun little appetizer. BLINDSPOT — Chicken, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Green Onions — This one was interesting, like a baked potato on top of pizza. Some people rejected the idea of cheddar cheese on pizza, but let me tell you… they missed out because it was DELICIOUS! The bacon and cheddar with green onions was so flavorful and the chicken was also smokey and delicious. Try it if you’re feeling creative with your meal! PARKINGSPOT — Pepperoni, Ham, Sausage, Salami — it’s your typical all-meat pizza. But the crust makes it so good.
