Our Mission

The St. Nicholas School Community commits to teaching Catholic values while fostering life long learning of the whole child.

Our Philosophy

St. Nicholas School provides a rich learning environment based on Gospel values. We teach a comprehensive academic program which promotes intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional development. We encourage Catholic stewardship, a spirit of community, outreach to those in need, and an appreciation of diversity. We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children and the St. Nicholas faculty and staff strive to support and complement them in this role.

History

Established in 1953.

St. Nicholas School is a private school that has educated children for over fifty years in grades Kindergarten through eight. A St. Nicholas School education is an honored tradition for many of our founding families, and a number of alumni s and their children. The success of St. Nicholas School centers around a collaborative process involving administration, teachers, students, parents and community members. Each constituency supports the others, and all are dedicated to instilling in each child a life-long love of learning, a solid faith foundation, and an appreciation for all as part of God’s creation. Built upon the foundation of Catholic heritage and embracing excellent academics, art programs, technology and athletics, St. Nicholas School provides education and opportunities to children that is incomparable to other Bay Area schools.
