Equilon Los Alamitos Shell

The vacuum station is really cramped. You can’t even open your door all the way because a bollard post is in the way. Made it very difficult to vacuum from all 4 doors.

This station is jacked up!!! It’s super busy but the pumps are the slowest I’ve ever seen so it causes a huge line of cars. We didn’t even fill up just left half way through cause it was so slow…

The only reason I go here instead of Arco is because this place is on the way to the freeway. Other than that, you don’t exactly come here for the service!

There was once a time when I didn’t mind coming to this Shell.
Mainly before they started putting a $ 75 PENDING CHARGE on my credit transactions, no matter how much I put in the tank! This is no bueno for those like me who should probably be listed in the poverty category.
It never was the greatest gas station. It’s clean and new, sure, but the islands are small and very close together, and when you consider most people are complete assholes when it comes to blocking multiple pumps, it can make for some frustration during peak traffic. I can’t forget to mention the absolutely ridiculous prices in the shop. I feel like I have to stop at the bank for a cashier’s check just so I can get a Monster.
They did renovate the pumps not too long ago, and they’re cool enough I suppose. The buttons on the keypad are the nicest part about it, they don’t stop working like those flat, bubble-​type pads. If it weren’t for that and their convenient location on the way to the 605, I’d really have no justification to give them any stars at all.

This morning they had salesmen crawling all over the place slangin’ some wax car cleaner. Not cool to be cornered by some guy selling something I don’t want while I’m filling up. Not to mention he used some of the stuff on my dirty truck, so now I have two clean spots and look like a complete lazy-​ass.

This station is always entertaining late at night during the week. Seems like there’s always someone being pulled over by the cops. Prices are decent but it’s the people watching entertainment that you go for!
