We’re Steve and Maria Truitt — a husband and wife team who prove that opposites really do attract! Steve is an aerospace engineer with a masters in systems engineering, and Maria is a corporate videographer with a masters in visual anthropology. Truitt Media gives us an opportunity to combine our individual strengths with our shared love of visual media and create a great experience for you!

Photography and videography have been Steve’s passions for a long time, as there is only so much calculus he can do before the creative side of his brain begins to protest. He loves taking a break from engineering to get out in the world and have fun with his camera! He never turns off his engineer switch completely, however. One of the benefits of his background is that he has a thorough understanding of the mechanics of visual technology. He makes sure our equipment reaches its maximum potential and that we always have the right tools for the job.

Maria has been making films for many years, and has a great day job as an in-​house videographer. While her work has covered a broad range of topics, she’s always been drawn to documentary, because she enjoys telling people’s stories on film. She understands how to capture important moments and interactions, and she loves getting to know people in the process! She brings this documentary experience to all of her video work, and she is skilled in getting messages across visually, whether they’re personal, corporate or anything in between!
