Update … in late 2012 my 39 yr. old Porsche needed some major maintenance and repair work on its very specialized transmission, including clutch replacement.
Stan had now impossible to get vacuum lines made up to custom fit replacement, and got other needed original parts from Germany. He did the usual thorough job of assessing other things that could be taken care of while the engine & transmission were out of the car (since that labor was already required) and, as preventive maintenance, hope to save a future job requiring that much redundant labor.
The car came back driving perfectly. Not inexpensive, but worth it.
