WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! Dr. Cryan and his technician Kelsie just left our house and I am so pleased that I called them. Our anxious kitty does not like to get anywhere near her cat carrier so taking her to the vet is extremely stressful for all of us. We’ve been putting off taking her to get her shots since she was a kitty. With NovaMobile Vet, this will no longer be an issue for us. Dr. Cryan is extremely personable and relaxed and provides a wealth of experienced information to his clients. The check up and vaccinations were done quickly in our bathroom, and then they took time to talk to me about my concerns. Even kitty was coming in and checking them out after the check up. Highly recommended and very worth the small amount more for a home visit. So much time saved and no more vet anxiety for me or my cat.

My dog Tiger does not like to go on car rides or long walks and our best bet was to call a doctor at home. I came across NOVA Mobile Vet and had gone through plenty of Unilocal reviews to make sure that their services were top notch because I only want the best for my baby. This is for all the pet parents that are looking for a vet.
First time I used their services was to get Tiger’s vaccinations renewed and we also got him a nail trim. Dr. Cryan and Jim were awesome for being able to muzzle him and keep him calm.
Recently we had discovered a growth on his face which we had to get it removed. First he took some samples and had it taken to the lab. I had received the results within the next day which was phenomenal (no one wants to wait around to get bad news). He sent me estimates of the surgery and a list of things that needed to be done (dental). The day we had the surgery, Dr. Cryan and Jim were very helpful, they came in told me what was going to happen, gave him a shot and Jim carried him to surgery and Tiger was back to me within 3 hours. It was very scary because this was our first surgery, but he made me feel like everything was going to be okay. Tiger also needed a bigger e-​caller so Jim had dropped it off later that night so kudos to him.
Dr. Cryan and his team know what they are doing. I am so grateful that he is my pup’s vet. Every pet that he takes care of, are in great hands. The prices are also affordable, the surgery cost me about $ 1,000 but the list of things that were on it seemed like it should have been costlier. They call before they get there (schedules are in blocks so if your appointment is from 2 – 4 that means they will be coming within that time not exactly at 2). He will always get back to your calls if you leave him a message. If there were any cons of using their services, I would have listed them but there aren’t any. There is just not enough praise in the world for what they have done for my dog. I HIGHLY recommend NOVA Mobile Vet and I will always be a loyal customer of theirs!

SIMPLY AMAZING!!! I will never again go through the ordeal of packing up my anxious pug, driving to the vet while trying to keep him calm (to no avail), waiting in the waiting room to be called then driving back home with said anxious pug! My front entry way became Dr. Cryan’s exam room! He and his assistant got down on the floor with my pet. They were both warm and friendly and it was great to have them care for my pet in the comfort of our home. Thank you!!!

Emailed the office manger for some pricing information to determine in a mobile service is worth the extra money. Been a couple of days and no reply…

I found NOVA Mobile Vet about 6 months ago, as my dogs were elderly it was getting more and more difficult to transport them to the vet office as they would get totally stressed out.
Dr. Cryan and his team are absolutely fantastic! My dogs were no longer stressed and happy to be cared for in the comfort of their own home. NOVA Mobile Vet is outstanding, I cannot speak highly enough about them. Appointments to meet everyone’s schedules. They are personable, passionate, professional and «The Care». They follow-​up on tests, they follow-​up just to see if all is okay … who else does that?
Sadly, both my beautiful dogs passed away last week, but they were elderly and it was time to give them peace and end their pain after 14 years. Dr. Cryan and Autumn were there to the end, and were absolutely fantastic with my husband and I as we said our final farewell to our pups through our tears — so, so hard to do, but we did it at home!

Love the convenience of having them come to my house. A window of time is provided so it is not like a traditional vet in the sense that you don’t have a specific appointment time. But they call when they are on their way and provide all of the services of a full service hospital including surgery and xrays. Autumn is very professional and Jim is a great assistant. Dr. Cryan is knowledgable, engaging, and compassionate. Could not ask for a better service.

Eric came out a few times to take a look at one of our cats. Their service was great initially, but honestly they’ve completely dropped the ball this last time. I’m sure their level service differs per customer, but idue to my experience, I cannot recommend them… especially considering the amount of money we paid and the issue is still not resolved.
They repeatedly fail to communicate when they say they will. Even after we call them trying to get a clear answer and schedule another appointment.
On more than one occasion they openly complained about us being «way out there», but I just think «well I don’t decide what your serviceable area is. you do.» I smile and nod and politely change the subject.
They also over charge quite a bit for medication and relatively simple checkups. I’m willing to pay a premium for in home care, but their lack of professionalism and real care for out pets was the last straw.

I cannot say enough praise for Nova Mobile Vet and the employees.
First I spoke with Autumn several times trying to decide the who, where, cost, time, and is my pet really ready. She is extremely helpful and nice. I did not feel rushed or like she had no experience or empathy.
Appointments come in 2 hour block windows for arrival from vet. Mine was 7 – 9 pm on a Friday. Kinda like ordering cable but better. I originally misunderstood that. Here it was 13 minutes before the end of my block and I was nervous because I couldn’t get ahold of them. Cameron called and let me know they were on their way and apologized indicating they had an pet emergency.
Dr. Cryan and Cameron made euthanasia for my beloved cat of almost 16 years (final stage renal failure) go smoother than I could have imagined. My cat Lillie hated going to the vet office. If only I could have found them sooner. Lillie was not really bothered because they were in his domain. Cost was surprisingly very comparable to my other two local vet offices. Only slightly more and totally worth it.
It happens in 2 stages. First animal gets a tiny quick shot of sedative. Then after a minute or so the animal is calm as can be but still conscious.
Then stage 2 is getting an IV in the back shaved leg. They shave for you. They give you time. When you are ready they inject the final medication that puts them to sleep forever. They then give you more time. Never rushed or seemed anxious to leave. They left about 10:30 that night. When you are ready they can take the animal with them. We chose private cremation so we could have the ashes back. Ashes are returned Thursdays a week after the first Thursday after your appointment.
I hope I helped ease someone’s decision writing this review.

Seriously Unilocal,there should be an option to give more than 5 stars to people who do a truly exceptional job.
My cat started having problems with urinating. It’s no joke, so I called our vet right away. She didn’t return my calls, but that’s a story for a different review. On Saturday morning I called every open vet clinic in the area, and nobody could see us. Obviously the next stop would be an emergency vet, but you know how most cats feel about that, carriers, and cars. I left a message for Nova Mobile vet, and Sarah called me back within an hour.
They managed to come see us within a few hours, on a Saturday. I can’t say enough about how kind and patient both Dr. Cryan and Sarah were. Dr. Cryan explained what has to be done, what his recommendation was, and what the next steps are
very patiently and thoroughly. The cost was perfectly reasonable for an emergency appointment, them coming to our home, taking care of the sick cat, and examining her brother as well. They not only took great care of my cat, but they were kind, patient, and most importantly, responsive. If you’ve ever had a sick pet, you know that’s priceless.

Dr. Cryan and his team are great! After adding a new kitten to our one-​cat household, we had Nova Mobile come out and check on both of our kitties, getting one up to date on her shots and the other the rest of his kitten care. Our older one was missing a lot of shots, and there was no judgment the way there is with some vets. just wanted to get her all caught up.
Our older cat is very angry right now about having a new kitten added, but they were great with her, so nice, easy to talk to (for us, not our cat lol), and there is just something SO nice about not having your animals disappear in the back and you hear them crying and wonder what’s going on.
They both developed a bad respiratory infection and the team came back out last week. I can’t imagine if our angry older cat had had to be put into a crate (probably impossible right now) and given four shots, then driven BACK home. But mobile or not, these guys are wonderful, and I would want to go there regardless. So professional and nice and really give you the time of day. I’m recommending them to everyone I know!

My mom had Dr. Cryan and his vet tech Sarah come and visit me because I get so stressed-​out in the car and the vet’s office. I am a 16-​year-​old tabby cat with diabetes and other issues, and when I have to go to the vet’s, I pee, I poop, AND I barf — plus my blood pressure readings and blood test results are too high because of the stress.
So I am SUPER glad my mom called these people! Yesterday I was dozing on the couch and this nice man in a white jacket came in. He sat with me and scratched my head and I didn’t even know I was getting a physical until he used the stethoscope on me, and I barely noticed that. He was funny and talked a lot, and he really knew cats! (Any cat can tell THAT.)
They put a baby scale on the coffee table and weighed me, which was far less scary than that stainless-​steel table at the vet’s office. i didn’t mind a bit!
Then they needed to do some tests, so we all went to mom’s office (so they could shut the door in case I tried to run away) and they put a towel on the desk and took my blood pressure. It was a little weird, but the cool thing is that my blood pressure was NORMAL for the first time in years! It had always been high because of the stress of going to the vet’s office in the past. My mom was so happy to know my blood pressure is OK, and that my medication is working.
Next they tried to take some blood from my back leg and I really hated that, even though my mom was with me and I knew I’d be OK. They finally got the blood from my neck, instead, and then the worst was over. The doctor also gave me a FREE shot of vitamin B-​12. (I would rather have had treats, but he didn’t offer.)
My mom got to take a tour of the really cool van with the dog and cat pictures on the outside. The inside is a state-​of-​the-​art operating room, dental office, lab, pharmacy, and everything else a vet’s office might have. She was really impressed.
Mom says my blood test results came in really fast — less than 24 hours — and that the extra test (for fructosamine) Dr. Cryan recommended was a great idea because now we know that my diabetes is under control long-​term. (We’d never done that before.) And my blood glucose wasn’t artificially high because of stress, as it has been in past blood work.
My mom says the $ 65 travel fee she paid was totally worth it since she didn’t have to worry about me being stressed-​out, or about dogs in the vet’s lobby, or about having a car accident when she was driving with one hand in my carrier trying to calm me, or about cleaning up me and my carrier after the trip.
NoVa Mobile Vet is the purr-​fect way to stay healthy — at home!

I booked an appointment via their website. I paid the $ 55 transport fee. I received emails and confirmed the appointment per the instructions.
30 minutes after my scheduled time, I tried to phone and got no answer. Then I emailed them suggesting a procedure FAQ since I thought I may have missed something. I got a reply that they didn’t have me on their schedule for today. They said that they don’t understand how I could have made any appointment for today since they are completely booked. They need to look into their Booking software since that’s the way they strongly encourage people to book and someone should have noticed a $ 55 payment and cross-​checked it against appointments. They’re going to see what they can do. Nice of them.
I was already nauseous because I am afraid of what the outcome of this may very well be. It increased as the time passed. Now I am positively sick because I had already steeled myself to the eventuality and I’m angry. I am cancelling and requesting a refund of my $ 55. He’ll get over a car trip. I can’t go through this stress again.
UPDATE (11÷27÷14): I had to have my cat put down by stressing him out in a car taking him to his old vet. Today, 2 month and 2 days after this incident, I get the following tweets from the good doctor:

Dr. Cryan is WONDERFUL. We’ve used him exclusively beginning in 2012 for all of our animals. He is very caring and knowledgable. We started when our large, old male GS was losing weight and not eating and decided to have the doctor come to us instead of loading him up in the SUV and taking him there. The visit went very well — our big boy even walked BACK to the Mobile Vet van and wanted to get back in! (and that was something as he had sore hips and never tolerated being at the vet very well — not a problem EVER with Dr. Cryan at our home). There were a number of house calls over the last year of his life with the Doctor giving us meds to make Jake comfortable mostly and then Dr. Cryan came in Feb of 2013 to put our boy to sleep. It was heart wrenching but I think better for all of us (the other dogs in the house especially) having him put to sleep in our own home. We’ve lost several other dogs over the years and the ones left behind have been confused as to just «where» they went afterward — not so this time.
We have continued to use Dr. Cryan exclusively for yearly check-​ups and such and can’t be more pleased with his services and responsiveness. The staff is great too — it takes the stress off of the animals as they are at their home already and not in a scary office with all the other scared dogs around them. It’s absolutely worth the cost.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Cryan and all his vet techs! With two cats who hate both the cat carrier and the car, it is such a relief to have the vet come to me in the van. Dr. Cryan is not only good with animals, he is very helpful and caring with people, too.

Dr. Cryan and staff are wonderful! After tons of research, I called them to come to my house to help my beloved Kitty («Elliot», of 16 years) pass on. The only thing I would have done different is seeking out a mobile vet SOONER because I think I would have chosen Dr. Cryan back then, too, and Kitty & I would have had much less stress for the last two years! (Kitty had cancer.) House calls are the way to go with kitties since they notoriously hate vet offices, as all you Cat moms & dads know. I knew such things existed but I figured they would be over the top in price. Not the case here!!! I thought my bill was completely reasonable. I’ve paid a LOT more in this area to transport Kitty to an office… and then leave him there, which I hated!!! Also, I’m just gonna throw this out there… I got the impression that Dr. Cryan is a really cool guy and so are his assistants (thank you so much, Sarah O.). Unfortunately, our first meeting was the «eleventh hour» of my sweet baby’s life so, we didn’t get time to know each other
which is all the more reason I’m posting this review. Taking this into consideration,
Dr. Cryan and Sarah were compassionate, sensitive, and professional. I knew it was
time to let Kitty go and I was completely distraught over HOW to do it. If you find
yourself in this place, PLEASE call these folks. I look forward to when I can meet
them again with other furry friends. Hugs and Kisses to everyone’s

I absolutely loved my experience with NoVA Mobile Vet today. They were knowledgable, affordable and obviously love what they do. My 11 year old Lab didn’t mind it one bit either! I highly recommend this especially for people with elderly dogs who don’t really want to travel. My old vet quoted me $ 800 to help my dogs arthritis… NOVA mobile vet was half of that and they came to me!

Dr. Cryan and his staff are the best I’ve ever seen — bar none. I’ve been a dog lover all my life and never found a vet as smart, caring and flexible as he and his staff are. My family and I were fortunate enough to take in a rescue Springer Spaniel who was 5 years old at the time and had skin, digestive, hip and abandonment issues…(but so do I when she’s not w/​me so it works out — LOL!) She’s now almost 9 and I credit NMV for ‘saving’ her. Dr. Cryan is so responsive when I’ve had my ‘first time mom’ moments w/​her, and always called back or came right over at his first availability and took care of whatever was ailing her. His mobile vet lab is amazing — it has everything you need and he’s so patient. When he says ‘my clients become my family’ he’s not kidding b/​c he and his staff honestly care. They’re all so smart and have hearts of gold. I wish everyone had relatives like them. :)

I decided to try using a mobile vet to lessen the trauma that getting to a vet’s office caused my shy cat. I was very impressed by the professionalism and kindness exhibited by Dr. Cryan and Paige, the vet assistant. They showed up promptly; the van was well-​equipped and spotlessly clean; the exam was performed efficiently and gently; and all injections/​fluid draws were accomplished with no protests from my cat. I was very satisfied with the service provided and look forward to using NOVA Mobile Vet for my cat’s veterinary needs in the future.

Had my first appointment with Dr. Cryan today and can’t say enough nice things about him! He was very patient with my brood and took the time needed with each old gal to make sure she was in good health. He offered a few suggestions and gave them their shots. I think they were the most comfortable I have ever seen them with any Vet. His prices are reasonable, I think I paid what I would have expected to pay if I had taken them to an office, without any of the inconvenience or added stress. I would highly recommend his to any pet owner!

I adopted a «special needs» kitty who, because of the trauma suffered prior to his adoption, is terrified of his pet carrier (and therefore, the vet). When I arrived home from my holiday travels last night, I found that my pet sitter had, unfortunately, neglected my two kitties to the point that the older of the two had such a severe upper respiratory infection that both of his eyes were nearly glued shut with discharge (poor thing!). Obviously I was shocked to find him in such a sickly disposition, and was at a loss for what to do after attempting to force the kitty in his carrier twice (very traumatic for both of us!) before seeking other options. That’s when I found Dr. Cyran and NOVA Mobile Vet (after much online searching and calling around to different vets)… they are life savers (quite literally!).
Not only did NOVA Moible Vet arrive at my apartment a few hours after I requested an appointment (which was done very easily online), but the fee for doing so was less than what a normal vet visits costs. Dr. Cryan and his assistant were very professional, knowledgeable, and caring about my pets and I look forward to using NOVA Mobile Vet for all my future vet needs. Dr. Cyran also provided me with so much helpful information regarding the care for both cats immediately, and in the future. They also called a few hours later to follow-​up, which was much appreciated.
Great service, surprisingly affordable prices, and all done in my home where my pets felt comfortable (and so much less stressed/​traumatized than if I would’ve taken them to a vet’s office). I would highly recommend Dr. Cryan to anyone who has a cat or dog, and only wish I would’ve discovered Dr. Cryan sooner!
