I bought a laser package at groupon. I’m very happy because they are organized, people are friendly and knowledgeable about what they are doing. I like the result of the laser machine. I can see the difference after the first time. I bought two more treatments areas. I really like the results and the place.

I bought 6 treatment for $ 500. The deal was essentially for full body, it was whatever you could get done in a 1 hour session. I had 3 sessions that didn’t even last 30 minutes. The girl was so careless and clearly not professional. I was lucky enough to get Jillian who was AMAZING. It was the only time my 1 hour session actually took an hour, she took the time to use the correct laser and took her time. She is an expert and was very impressive with her knowledge. The other girl just used a VERY low laser that did nothing, was not detailed, and I was in my car 30 minutes later. On my second to last treatment I found our Jillian left but they wouldn’t tell me why. She is the only reason I would ever recommend going to this odd establishment. They don’t know what they are doing and they lost the only good thing they had. This is a very poorly runned business that does not care for it’s customers. Jillian is 5 stars, this place is 1 star… so I was nice and averaged the stars a bit to give them 2.

For laser hair it’s ok — very painful compared to others but does seem to work. Unfortunately, they talked me into a vein package and completely burned my legs — looked like someone took a cigarette and burned me — and did not treat the spider veins. It was not because of their machine it was because the tech did not know what she was doing — these burns lasted months and took over a year for a few of the marks to go away. What’s worse is when I told the owner he did not care! I had to wear long pants or capri’s during summer since my legs looked diseased. How awful. I would never recommend this place.

I just bought this laser package at groupon. Called to make an appointment, OMG after 12mins on the phone I was so exhausted that I decided to not do business with this company. I don’t expect red carpet treatment from people, but general customer service can do wonders for a business…

I also purchased the groupon and there must have been a change in staff because I had a great experience. I needed to reschedule unexpectedly on a Monday and they were able to reschedule me for the following Thursday. The receptionist was very friendly and Taylor was great. I’ll be back to finish my treatment and take them up on the $ 45 unlimited monthly package!

I bought a Groupon for 6 laser hair removal treatments at the Metropolitan Med Spa. The first 4 treatments went fine, but I ended up with pretty serious and very painful lower leg buns as a result of my 5^th laser treatment. They took 2 month to heal and I now have white marks where the burns used to be. When I approached the owner, he offered no apologies and refused to refund my money. He said that he was a small business owner and I had to understand that he had no flexibility to offer refund or any compensation. Even worse, he charged me $ 50 dollar missed appointment fee for not being there for an appointment after my leg burns (I was not aware of it.) I never went back. The owner does not care about you as a customer and all he cares about is your money. Stay away from this place.

I bought their laser hair package off Living Social. Just had my first appointment after having to wait over a month to get an appoinment.
The place is in a small strip mall, in the same office as a dental practice. It is so weird. You are getting laser treatment with the sounds of suctioning in the background, not necessarily relaxing.
Silver lining was the laser tech, I’m not sure of her name. She was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about what she was doing. Also, the laser machine spits the cold liquid with each buzz, which I prefer to other machines that do not offer that option, its somewhat soothing.
I will definitely be back to at least finish my package deal. If you can get over the odd location and the long wait to get an appointment, it is worth the treatment.

It’s ok. The technician can be abrasive and snarky which I don’t appreciate. The front desk was a mess with the scheduling at first but that has improved dramatically. I’ve had about 4 Tx’s with them and I’ve seen a reduction in hair. I have other areas I would like treated but I believe I will try another business.

Location: Zero stars. As others have mentioned, this med spa is inside a dental office with no signage on the exterior. The last time I was there was a year ago, so hopefully they have rectified this. I drove back and forth several times looking for a sign for the med spa and finally stopped into the dental office to ask for directions when I realized that the spa was in the dentist’s office.
Interior: Two stars. The waiting room is clean. The treatment room appears to be a storage room with boxes stacked everywhere. The treatment occurs in a dental chair.
Service: One star. I did not have any issues with the receptionist that worked there a year ago. She was nice. The technicians that I worked with were nice as well. My biggest issue was with the office manager and the fact that everybody that I encountered tried to sell me HARD on getting additional treatments. I had to say no four different times PER treatment. The office manager even pulled me into his office to give me a «great deal» that they were offering (basically the same pricing that the Groupon/​Coupon sites were providing). This occurred almost every time that I had to come in for a treatment. It would make sense for them to do the hard sell towards the end of a series of treatments… but to do it every single time (I had 6 treatments) was too much. Every time I had to go in for an appointment, I knew that I had to get ready to say NO THANK YOU, NO THANK YOU, NO THANK YOU and NO… REALLY, NO THANK YOU! over and over again. Time to come up with another sales tactic.
Quality of treatment: I’ve been to other Med Spas. I’ve had very problematic areas see a significant improvement within 5 treatments. I went to Metropolitan Med Spa to treat an area that is not considered to be difficult and after six treatments, I see little to no improvement.

5 stars for technicians. 1 star for receptionist (male). I’ve been here 3 times for hair removal and facial treatments. Technicians run behind schedule 2 out of 3 times so far. Not terrible. About 15 min but still scheduling could perhaps be better spaced out. Service from technicians was good. The person who did my facial goes above and beyond to tailor treatments to my needs.
The first 2 times I went receptionist was a female and she was nice. Last time, there was a male receptionist who was not pleasant neither on the phone nor in person. No hi no smile no eye contact. Underdressed and kinda rude too. Very unprofessional in the way he carries himself.

This place is unprofessional and poorly run. The front staff are ill informed regarding availability. We waited for an hour yesterday. After waiting for an hour and having an appointment confirmed by their receptionist, they cancelled the appointment and told us they could not accommodate us!!! I guess they don’t want to be in business very long. I would find another more customer service rated place.

This place is horrible!!! I got the groupon deal. Made my appointment for laser hair removal at 8 a.m. and had to wait for about an hour because their running late!!! «They just open»… They even had the nerve to say my appointment was not till 8:30 a.m. They just made me come in to fill out paperwork for 30 mins. REALLY!!! Customer service is down the drain in this place. Unbelievable… I now understand why they have a rating of 1.7…

It’s small, but it’s clean and modern. The weird thing is that it shares space with the dental clinic, but it’s really not an issue. I bought a package through Groupon and while the tech said something about more sessions than I purchased, I wasn’t pressured to actually purchase any more. The tech was nice, knowledgable, and thorough. I’m not sure what other reviewers were expecting… this place is great. My only complaint is that they’re a little pushy when it comes to scheduling appointments, but other than that, I had a pleasant experience.

Pros: nice and attentive technicians who really know what they are doing, price is fair, ok to good results so far (have had 4 upper lip, 1 whole body so far).
Cons: really really really really really horrible customer service. Especially the receptionist «Abu» or «Abdul» (don’t know his exact name”, as well as most of the receptionists at this place. I just didn’t understand how rude a person can be, especially someone interacting with a customer, until I came to this place. Just because I had a bout of confusion at times, they would just come at an angle where I’m the ultimate enemy and want to prove me wrong, even though all they have to do is listen and provide clarity on the confusion. It seems like they do not have manners (often times the receptionist is watching something on their phone), and when asking questions (again to ask for clarity on something), I am given a rude tone and answer as if I am being a burden. Booking appointments/​changing is really iffy like how everyone else is stating here.
After my appointments are done, I will probably not go back to this place. There are a ton of groupons etc, and even other places that give competitive pricing (my aunt had told me about a place in Fairfax!) for the same service.
In fact, I do not even mind the place being in a dentist office and the confusion with the area of where it is.
I do not have to deal with rude behavior especially since I was not rude to begin with. Good customer service should always be something any business should strive for.

Coralee (sp?) no longer works here. She was thorough and personable. This can not be said for all the other employees /​laser techs working here. The last time I came here I was informed that Coralee no longer works and a woman — something with an ‘E’ (Elaine/​Ellen?) was going to perform my laser session. She ‘zapped’ me approx. 8 times (on a ‘large area’), and then tried to get me to purchase another package. The motive now is poor quality ½ a$$ work to get you come back and buy more sessions. I’ve been here 11 times and on my last visit (12^th) I’m done with this place! Find Coralee!

Purchased a laser hair removal Groupon.
At first I was confused as to the location and business setup (in dental office)
BUT:
The technicians are friendly and knowledgable.
Best of all my treatment is a total success.
I am very pleased with my «no more» hair results.

I’ve been there 5 times for laser hair removal and have very mixed feelings about this place.
PROS: The technicians are really great; they are very nice, efficient, and I’ve never had a problem with them. I’ve been very happy with my actually laser hair removal results. The price was great as well. The place seems very clean, although as others have mentioned, the set up is odd inside a dentist office.
CONS: Scheduling issues and poor customer service. Getting an initial appointment took 2 or 3 calls. Also, two out of the five times I’ve had appointments scheduled, I’ve received calls to push my appointment time back to later in the evening, ON A FRIDAY, when traffic on 95 is going to be horrible. The first time was okay because I could make the the rescheduled time, but the second time I could not. The calls I received to move the appointment were 48 hours before the appointment would occur, which is exactly the same amount of time you have to re-​schedule or cancel an appointment to a different day (i.e. they have a 48 hour cancellation policy). I spend time in a work space where I’m not allowed to have a cell phone, so calling me on the exact day I need to cancel my appointment if I can’t make the rescheduled time is extremely inconvenient and very poor service. They basically tell you that if you are rescheduled for an appointment time on the same day, then your original appointment was not actually canceled (I don’t what else to call it if they tell me I can’t come in at X time, and need to come in at Y time). In other words, if they don’t use the word «Cancel» in a voicemail, then they hold you to that changed appointment time, even without talking to you, and will not let you schedule it for a different day if you don’t get back to them on the exact day they call you.
I was originally planning on buying 2 more laser hair removal packages from them for both my lower and upper legs, but after my last encounter about the rescheduled appointment, I’m inclined to take my business elsewhere. I don’t want to have to keep dealing with these issues for 6 or more appointments, especially as a busy working professional who travels out of my way to get to their office.

This place is by far the worst place to deal with. I purchased a couple living social specials with this merchant a few months ago and ever since then, getting a hold of them is extremely difficult. They never answer their calls. The hours on the website are completely false. They claim to stay open during the hours they have on their website and when you call, most of the time they are closed or never answer calls so you have to leaver a message.
When I finally got a hold of them the first time, they told me there was no availability for over a month so I waited. I called again and again to get a hold of them and they told me i had to wait another two months! I now have waited about 4 months and not one appointment. Rude staff (whomever answers calls), does not communicate well at all. I am paying for the services and they keep turning me away to wait for months. I highly doubt they can’t fit me in anytime.
I immediately got my money refunded and all I have to say is save the headache form this shady place… go else where.

Definitely strange how they are located inside of a dental office in a small strip mall. If you blink, you will not see it.
Of course, I am trying them due to a Groupon deal I purchased. I am currently receiving laser hair removal on multiple areas of my body, but wanted to get my upper lip done for a very reasonable price as I am not that hairy.
The laser they use is one I have not experienced. It sends a shot of something (smells like rubbing alcohol) onto your skin when you are zapped. You can smell burnt hair as well which I am not use to. It is not that painful compared to most lasers and would suggest them if the price is a factor.
I am being treated in my other areas which are more sensitive with a different type of laser which causes almost no pain. The other facility I am going to is a lot more expensive than Metro Med Spa.
Staff was friendly as well! I initially had issues with booking my first appointment and then I rescheduled due to a schedule conflict. When I tried to do this, they did not have my appointment on the books. Strange, but it worked out. I pre-​booked my future appointments and had no issues. They also call to confirm your appointment the day before.
Give them a try if you are interested in hair removal. If you are wanting to do a brazilian, I would suggest you use another facility with the new laser which does not hurt as much. Any other areas, I would suggest them.

I’ve been getting full body treatments (yep, it’s fairly painful; but the trick is to focus your attention elsewhere). I’ve had 5 of my 6 sessions and I’m very satisfied. I was a really hairy guy (I’m from the Middle East) and now I don’t shed everywhere, I sweat less, and my skin is smooth. I’ve always wanted laser hair removal, but cost was prohibitive (full body typically costs $ 10−15K). I discovered Metropolitan Med Spa and learned that I could get 6 full body treatments for $ 2500 total! It was almost too good to be true, so I was very skeptical. I talked with the owner and learned how she’s able to provide such competitive pricing.
First, she and her husband have days jobs, so they’re not dependent on the business’s income. I imagine that their strategy is to compete on price and build a reputation through referrals. It’s definitely a way to get customers initially, but I don’t know if it’ll work long term (because I doubt they can sustain offering such amazing prices forever). Second, they operate out of a family member’s dentistry practice, so they have significantly lower costs. Those who are bothered by this are less rational, more emotional decision makers. Where they operate out of only changes the business’s perceived value… not its real value. At the end of the day, what matters is:
(1) TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCE: the two technicians have almost 10 years each.
(2) LASERING DEVICE: machines are new and some of the best on the market; a dual wavelength laser (
) means they can take care of light and dark skinned people. A lot of laser hair removal providers only have 1 laser and use it improperly for all skin types.
(3) PRICE; they offer incredible pricing. Nothing competes in the area. Only NYC and LA have a few providers who offer the same pricing, and they’re only able to sustain those prices because of the sheer volume of customers they serve.
(4) CUSTOMER SERVICE: Their staff are friendly and the technicians are very patient and good at taking care of people. I haven’t personally had any issues scheduling appointments or receiving customer service, but I can see what some are talking about (in the filtered reviews). To me though, that «lesser» customer service is more than made up for by the above factors.
I can only imagine that they will eventually operate out of their own venue and quit their day jobs. This almost inevitably means they will have to raise prices (which is fair and reasonable). I’m just glad that I was able to get a great service at a great price.
