I just wanted to comment on the unethical service that I received on Saturday. I noticed that my chimney was leaking water into my fireplace and out onto the hearth. I did an internet search of fireplace repair companies and somehow Cosmos made the list. After calling a few others that were closed on Saturday, I contacted Cosmos and explained my situation. I spoke to the man on the phone at length about the fact that water is getting into the house through the chimney and that the fireplace was collecting water. At no point did the man on the phone indicate to me that this was probably out of scope for the typical Cosmos contractor. Had he done so, I would have continued on down the list of companies that might be able to service my fireplace. Rather, he said someone could come by within an hour and that I would be charged $ 95 for them to come out and $ 95 per hour. This individual knowingly sent a contractor who would not be able to fix my problem in order to make a profit. When the contractors arrived, they even seemed confused as to why they were here and said multiple times that they are HVAC repairmen. Without even removing the fireplace insert, looking up the chimney, or taking out a ladder to look at the chimney cap, the contractor decided the cause must be some cracked silicone on the gas inlet tube. I’m pretty sure he knew this wasn’t actually the problem and he could obviously tell my disappointment that Cosmos wasted my time and money on someone who was not qualified to fix the problem. After the contractors left the water continued to trickle into the fireplace so I pulled the unit out and discovered what I thought all along, that the water could not have possibly come from the gas line and that it could only have come from the chimney. At that point I was out the $ 95 that Cosmos charged me and it was too late for any other companies to send out a repair person. Now I have to take a day off of work to have the problem fixed by a chimney contractor who immediately knew the cause of the problem when I spoke to him on the phone. In short, I am disappointed that Cosmos would knowingly send someone unqualified for the job just to make a buck. I will not be using your company in the future should I have HVAC problems.

Although my Home Warranty company didn’t let me use their service (because my Home Warranty company sucks!!!); Cosmos was the first company to thoroughly check out my poor airflow problem and give me an experienced report regarding my HVAC systems issues. I wholeheartedly recommend this superior company! They know how to perform a full inspection of HVACs to diagnose possible problems. Great company!!!

Very courtesy and reliable. Gus, thank you for coming on short notice. Gus took his time to explain the whole HVAC maintenance and what was fixed and potential issues which he resolved. I would certainly recommend Cosmos, and in the future will look to them as my go to HVAC technicians.

Another year has passed, and am convinced more than ever that there is none better than Cosmos. Gus, thank you for the continued fast and reliable service.

We were very grateful they could make an appointment for next day service when we needed it. Our AC went out and we were leaving on vacation and so we needed immediate service. They came out, diagnosed the problem, supplied the part, and fixed it in under an hour. The technicians were helpful, knowledgeable, and prompt.

I called at 5pm on a Friday night. George came over to my condo, helped me trouble shoot a problem with a water heater that kept going out. He recommended replacing the thermocouple. Since he couldn’t replace the thermocouple, he didn’t charge me for the call. I will definitely use them to service my water heater. Kudos to George!

Cosmos takes care of servicing my heating and cooling systems. They come when they say they will and don’t try to upsell extra services.
It’s nice to have someone to trust with my heating and cooling system. I’ll be scheduling my spring service soon.

I am a real estate broker and property investor. I have hired Cosmos many times for my properties as well as recommended them to our real estate clients. Cosmos is our, «Go to» company for HVAC repairs. They are reliable, dependable and priced appropriately. if you are in the need of any HVAC service or repair, you should call Cosmos!

This company is very unreliable. I had a hot water heater installed by this company (note — they are not plumbers, but the hot water heater supplies the heat to my house). The hot water heater kept releasing pressure and the water that was flooding the catch pan was putting out the pilot light. I asked them to come back to fix it and they simply adjusted the water temperature lower until it stopped. Didn’t really fix the problem, they simply hid it.
This past winter when I needed some heat I had to adjust the thermostat in my hot water heater a little warmer. The system released the pressure and again put out my pilot light (I was left with no hot water for a shower before work).
I contacted a real plumber who came and looked at my hot water heater. They determined that 2 parts were faulty (thermostat and pressure relieve sensor). Amazingly enough, it was beyond the 12 month warranty for the parts and I had to pay for the parts (and labor) myself. The new plumber advised that the «plumbers» who installed the hot water heater should have noticed the faulty parts on installation. Apparently they were in too much of a hurry to get their check and leave.
I spent 3k on a hot water heater to be installed by this company and I’m very disappointed. i would NEVER let them touch anything in my house again.
I thought I was fixing a problem by replacing my old hot water heater, but I created a bigger problem by hiring a sub-​standard company. I’ve dealt with this mess for a year now and have finally got on the right track to getting it fixed for good (at my expense, not theirs).
Do yourself a favor and find a better plumber (or HVAC technician) if you need any reputable work done.
