Horse boarding Training and lessons in dressage and eventing. All disciplines welcome. X Country schooling available on site. Indoor and outdoor arenas.
Twin Palms Combined Training is not only one of the nicest facilities in the Sacramento/Placer area, but it is also owned and managed by some of the best people I have come across in the world of boarding and training horses, Kevin and Chris McNabb. The facility is beautiful and immaculate. The stalls are huge and cleaned perfectly(twice a day) and I never even once had to ask for additional shavings for my 3 horses in the 2 years we were there. The horses are fed at the same time everyday and the quality of the hay is always outstanding. You can count on your horses to receive quality care at Twin Palms. The cross country course is gorgeous and beautifully maintained, as well as the indoor and 2 outdoor arenas. We arrived there 2 years ago with 3 show jumpers. Jordan McNabb was amazing taking charge of their care and training. Then, when we were ready, getting«our boys» sold, both to quality homes where they could continue their outstanding show careers. Not only is Jordan a beautiful rider, but her dedication, knowledge, networking and friendly personality gets the job done when it comes to selling horses. We recently retired our older jumper and were very sad to have to leave Twin Palms. All the people there could not be nicer and we plan on keeping in close touch with all of them.

I have been with Twin Palms Combined Training now for just over 6 months and I can truly say I have found a wonderful, caring barn committed to taking care the best possible care of my horse. My horse is a strong minded, difficult at times thoroughbred and they have been wonderful in insuring his safety and keeping his mind sane as possible through regular, customized turn-out, special feeding schedules, regular exercise, keeping the stalls clean with several stall cleanings a day and checking the barn frequently and late each night. Each stall has attached runouts and the stalls are larger than normal 16 feet by 16 feet. The stable hand is wonderful, patient and calm with the horses and treats them with firm kindness. Not only is the care of my horse wonderful, but Chris McNabb is the primary trainer, and she has been wonderful. I have been a hunter/jumper rider my entire riding career and Chris has been great in establishing an even stronger foundation for me and my horse. She has worked on strengthening my riding using techniques found in many disciplines such as dressage, jumpers and cross country. She is also respectful of my primary riding being in a different discipline and works on making me be on the horsewoman possible. The facility is wonderful and has a great break room with individual cubbies, plenty of bridle racks and saddle racks in the tack room that is kept locked, large beautiful stalls(16×16) with large automatic waters, attached walk-outs that are easily kept open or closed based on owner preference, easily draining wash racks, a grass outdoor small dressage court, a very large jumping ring, a covered arena, galloping track and the best cross country course in Placer County. They are in the process of upgrading the indoor arena and adding bathrooms with shower stalls and a hot water washing rack. All the people at TPCT are wonderful and very friendly with many different age groups belonging to the barn. There is a great group of young riders, with another awesome group of fun respectful teenagers, a few young adults and a group of adult riders so all in all we have a lot of fun together.

My daughter rode with many of the area trainers and barns and we found that the many of the barns, horses or equipment were worn out or shabby or the trainers inconsistent or still working on their own competitive goals. The main trainer/owner Chris McNabb is committed to staying on schedules, developing the rider and able to be serious while at the same time becoming a friend to her clients and their families. Under her instruction my daughter went from an unrated beginner rider to a very confident C-1 pony clubber in just over a year. This barn has repeated clinics with former Olympian Don Sachey and other clinicians of International success. It also boasts the largest and most developed cross country of any barn in Placer County. I highly recommend this trainer/barn and the pristinly maintained facility.

First of all let me just say, I LOVETWINPALMS! After riding with other trainers around the area, we came to Chris. She worked with me on my horse and then I leased one of her horses when it was time to move up. She helped me get through 3 ratings in Pony Club. She and Kevin run an amazing barn. This is the only barn in the area with the ability to coach all three phases of eventing(dressage, stadium jumping, and cross country). If you are considering eventing, or are already serious about it, Twin Palms is definitely the perfect barn. All the details are on their web page.
