Specialties
We teach Okinawan Shorinryu Karate and Ryukyu Kobudo. We are different from most instructors in that we were trained in Okinawa. We speak and teach Japanese language conversation in addition to the martial arts lessons. We have a direct connection to the head of our system.
History
Established in 2010.
We repatriated from Japan in 2009 and began teaching Karate, Kobudo, and Aikido in southern Minnesota. In 2010 we moved to Lonsdale and started offering Monday and Friday evening classes at the Civic Center on the campus of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. We have sponsored two international seminars with Akamine Hiroshi Sensei, our teacher and the head of our system. We have a number of affiliated dojos that are also teaching our kobudo in Mankato, White Bear, Forrest Lake, Omaha NE, and Plainfield IN.
