History
Established in 2007.
Starting in my home shop that could hold 1 car at a time, Zach’s Transmission was born. It quickly became apparent that a commercial location was needed. A location at 101 Pratt St. in Longmont was located and became home. We started with one tech and myself. Within 2 years, we had grown to employing 5 people and expanded to 4500 sq ft facility. In 2012, our new location at 31 Price Rd became available. We now employ 9 people and have 6300 sq ft facility.

Business Owner
I started as an entry level technician straight out of a vocational school in a transmission shop in Cortez, CO. Longmont became home in 1997 when I relocated for an opportunity in a chain transmission store as an installer. Over the next 11 years, my education and experience on the transmission excelled until it was time to venture on my own. Shortly after starting Zach’s, I attended the Powertrain Expo, put on by ATRA. I had been going to technical seminars for 11 years. This was my first management seminar. This one decision had the greatest impact on my business. Within the next 2 years, my business had growth that could only be explained as break through. In 2009, I became the chapter president for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of ATRA. I currently hold this position and am dedicated in the betterment of this industry.
