The Longmont Home Depot isn’t just a hardware store. We provide tools, appliances, outdoor furniture, building materials to Longmont, CO residents. Let us help with your project today!
Although everyone at the Home Depot is friendly enough, finding anyone to help is just rough. Usually anyone you find will either be helping someone else, or in the middle of some other task. As an example, which is not entirely uncommon: I went in looking for two things. One, I finally guessed, they didn’t have, and the other I gave up on. I tried to find help for 15 minutes before going to the front of the store. The clerk I asked looked up the two items on her phone and gave me approximate aisle numbers(i.e. 7 or 20). I went and looked and never found the items and when I got back, she was gone. So I went to Customer Service and, after waiting another 15 minutes(there was quite a queue) I just left. Heading back to McGuckins, for sure.

Do not use Delta Mechanical to install anything. Please do not waist your money. They do crappy work that does not pass inspections and then tries to charge you 250 dollars to come back to fix. They make appointments and give you every excuses when they do not show up. Complain get hung up on. Use another plumber. A water heater install will end up costing you 1000 dollars on top of Home Depot parts. Home Depot has gotten there money so they careless if it is installed correctly. In fact it is to Home Depots benefit if it is not installed correctly since plumbers have to keep running back to the store to get parts. Again Delta plumbing is a giant scam where the consumer suffers.

Dear Dumbasses at Home Dumbo, Picture rail and picture frame are two different things. They don’t look the same, are not used the same way, and the fact that no one at your store has a clue and put them in the wrong bin does not make them the same damn thing. And no, if my contractor wants me to pick up 1 and 5/8″ sheet rock screws, that is not the same damn thing as 1 and ¼″ screws and please don’t try to tell me «oh these will work just fine.» Word to the wise: find the professional lumber yard in your area and SHOPTHERE. In our area it’s Boulder Lumber. They answered the phone on the first ring and the first person I talked to knew exactly what picture freaking rail is, how it is used, and told me where exactly to find it in the store.

Needed some new cabinets in a rush for a kitchen remodel. Was hoping to get something stock. Spoke to Mark from their kitchen design team. Gave him drawings, measurements, etc. He said he was about to get off work and couldn’t do it, then had a day off, but would get to it after that. I let him know that we were in a rush and he said no problem, that he would stay on it, or give it to someone else on their team. After over a week of no response, I finally talked with someone else there(maybe her name was Vallerie, but I can’t remember) who said that Mark was now in another department and that not only had they not done anything with my order, but that they needed me to come back in and give them everything one more time. They promised to take care of me, but instead caused me to lose a lot of time that I didn’t have. I later went to the store in Boulder, and the service was MUCH better.

I like Home Depot. I like how some of the staff have been working there for years; that tells me it probably treats its employees well. I have always found staff nearby when I needed them and if they don’t know how to answer my question they find someone who does. Our dog Thor loves going to Home Depot. He cocks his head and gets excited when we say the words. He recognizes the orange aprons now and wants to meet them all(some employees carry treats). It’s true that sometimes it’s hard to find a straight 2×4, but that is the case with Lowe’s and Budget Home Center too. The thing I wish HD would improve is their selection of organic gardening products. They’re offering more soil amendments than they used to, but I wish there were more organic fertilizers and plants. I also wish they would stop selling neonicotinoid pesticides that are killing honey bees.

Good place to go for assistance for home repair tools. They also have nice kitchen displays and tiles/countertops samples.

Selection okay, a bit limited in hardwood flooring choices compared to other stores pricing is good, however employees are more interested in gossiping with each other then helping customers.

I have a 75 year old house in Longmont and a cabin in the mountains; which means I’m usually fixing something. Or a couple of things. Not many weeks go by without a visit to a hardware store. Home Depot is on my way home from work, so I tend to default to HD. Every time I do, I leave angry that I didn’t take the extra effort to go to Budget Home Center instead. Another reviewer said«the staff really knows their stuff». How do you know? Did you marry an employee? I rarely can find someone to help, and on the rare occasion I do, they act like they need to be someplace else. The wood selection is truly grim. Try to find a 2×4 that is straight or knot-free. Or dry. The service is so bad, I’ve written the store manager twice and the CEO once; and never gotten a response. I’m not a negative guy, and I think this is my first single star rating. Maybe all Home Depots aren’t bad, but especially when there are far better hardware/lumber stores in town, going here makes me crazy.

Like Demian said, the staff here really«knows their stuff». I decided to replace a window yesterday, since snow and cold temps are headed our way, and the previous home owners decided to use their amateur carpentry skills to build a single pane window w/½″ air gaps in the frame, in the master bedroom, needles to say they didn’t use flashing and there was water damage everywhere, hmmm time to review housing inspectors… Anyhow, I talked to the master carpenter there & was schooled on window installation, including sketches in 5 mins time. I walked out of there knowing what to do to fix the hack’s job, the right way. Needless to say, 24hrs later my R rating is up by at least 2 points and there isn’t a breeze in our bedroom anymore, and the wife is smitten.

As good as it gets. Why Home Depot? Maybe the competition from Lowe’s is that close, but, the employees at this Home Depot have been giving me soooo much advice of late. I’m always talking to the guys in the aisles… they know there stuff. So, I’ve been gone a bit lately from Unilocal — what with my basement remodeling project under full steam and mostly with my own brawn. I just haven’t had any time to hit the restaurants. However, when it comes to Home Depot in little ol’ Longmont, those guys are the best, period. Now, I am typically not a big box shopper and I like to give my business to the little guy in most cases. However, the Home Depot in Longmont sure gets my A-OK.
