Established in 1997.

Saddle Up was started in 1997 as a retirement hobby by Dick Van Proosdy. He built the business by word of mouth & referrals. In 2010 Dick’s daughter, Danna Golden came on board & Saddle up moved to an independent building where there is now over 200 new & used saddles & a variety of tack for Novice horse owners to barrel racers, ropers or simply pleasure riding out on the trails. We try & have a little bit of everything to be your one stop shop for all your saddle & tack needs. If there is something we don’t have… I guarantee you we can get it! I am a small business owner who loves what he does. I have had a passion for horses since the first time I saw one. Growing up my parents always knew where to find me, I was down the road where the horses were or at the library reading books about horses. later in life I was an auto technician by trade & never dreamed my retirement hobby would have grown into the business it is today. I have a passion for educating horse owners on the importance of a proper fitting saddle as well as the proper use of tack to get the best possible performance & highest level of safety for all. We do fittings on site so if you are able to trailer & not sure if your current saddle is fitting properly bring your horse & gear & I would be more than happy to check your saddle fit!
