One of the best places we visited when we vacationed in Colorado!!! The dog beach was perfect, the atmosphere was perfect, and the views were to die for!

Our first time at the reservoir and I wasn’t impressed. Kind of pricey to get in especially since we weren’t planning to stay all day but could definitely be worth it if we would have planned better. Parking was fine and restrooms were available although we didn’t use them. Coming from Hawaii I was pretty unimpressed with the beach. For such a big reservoir why such a small area for kid’s to swim? Besides that and sitting on hot rocks in direct sunlight it wasn’t my favorite.

Good place to visit when in need of some water therapy — loading dock for boats and other water vehicles. Great view of the mountains and well maintained beach area. Not the longest/most established path for walking, and you can’t walk around the entire reservoir, but there is a section of the beach where you can let your dog run off leash/play in the water which is great for hot days. Ample picnic tables and trash receptacles. Very clean and family friendly(there is a nice big playground for kids). $ 8 day pass seemed a little steep($ 2 walk in fee, but no street parking which makes this option only available to nearby residents), but if you plan to come for a full day/afternoon for picnicking, then it would be worth it. I was only there for about an hour because of a developing storm, but my canine and I had a good time. Will be back for more adventures this summer, Im sure!

Great place for fishing, sailing, swim beaching, and paddle boarding! Nice relaxing no wake fishing spot. Nice layout, easy to find, plenty of activities for the family!(and dogs!) Not a party lake, but they do allow some camping on weekends during the season. decent outhouse facilities…(ick, but not terrible) Got a few bites, but nothing news worthy, will try this spot again!
