Nixcavating has been providing quality construction services throughout the Colorado Front Range since 1982. As a family-​run company from Longmont who prides itself on versatility and customer service, we have the experience and equipment to make sure your project gets the attention to detail and outcome you require.

We have the capability to be involved in all parts of a civil project, including demolition, underground utility installation and repair, as well as site preparation and grading. As a flexibly run small business, we’re able to handle the personalized residential work, as well as large commercial and government projects simultaneously.

History

Established in 1982.

Nixcavating is a Longmont based and family-​run company founded by owner Scott Nix in 1982. He started the company with a broken backhoe and a determination to work for himself, and over the years, he has acquired some very valuable project management experience, a large heavy equipment fleet, and priceless personnel. We currently have around 25 employees, with nearly a third of them being with Nixcavating for almost a decade.
