If I could give 0 star I would for sure. This doctor is the worse that I have ever seen. And he is dangerous. He made me go through a mini surgery with no needed at all. And when he realized that he was wrong he didn’t even apologized. He gave me bad instructions of how to remove the stitches and it resulted on a big scar that I will have forever. And also, after all, he asked me to take an antibiotic that I could never take while pregnant. And he knew that I was pregnant because he was the one that was taken care of me at that point. He was the one that did the first ultrasound. Be really careful if you are planning to go on him. Specially if you care a little one inside of you!!!

I totally lucked out in finding Dr. Nelson. A friend had recommended another doctor in his practice, but he was full so they asked if I wanted to see Dr. Nelson. I am SO glad that I did! I have been seeing him throughout my pregnancy and he and Heather(his nurse) are wonderful about getting back to me right away if I call with questions or having me come in if I call and am worried about the baby(which has been pretty often). They never make me feel silly for calling or having concerns and are always super supportive and caring. They both also have a wonderful sense of humor which always helps make the appointments easy and relaxing! Also, the office staff is fantastic too and are always super nice! I can’t say enough about this office! I love it!

Dr. Nelson is the best doctor I have ever encountered. He has been my OB/GYN since I moved here in early 2007, including the pregnancy and delivery of my little girl. He is warm and friendly, immediately putting me at ease. His nurse, Heather, demonstrates a level of competence that made me feel comfortable talking to her about a lot of things without needing to discuss them with Dr. Nelson directly. Though all of my interactions have been positive experiences, one stood out to me that really separated him from the other medical professionals I’ve dealt with in the past: When I was pregnant, I developed a kidney stone while I was in transit back home from Hawaii, but didn’t know that was the problem until much later. On the plane, I was bleeding and in so much pain that I thought I was miscarrying. When we landed in Denver, I called him and he was able to put me at some ease, saying he suspected a kidney stone, but told me to come in immediately when I got back to town. When I got to the clinic, he had already informed his staff that I would be there and had a nurse and an ultrasound room ready for me to go right in. He came in and performed the ultrasound himself(like he always does) to confirm the baby was still okay, then called the ER to make arrangements for me to get quick treatment there. It turned out to be nothing serious, and he knew as much before I went to his office, but the way he handled it all was above and beyond how I have ever been treated by a doctor. But even better than that is that the next day, when I was at home recovering, he called me himself to check on me. I didn’t have to call him, and he didn’t settle for reading the records sent over from the ER. He genuinely cares about the well being of his patients. Dr. Nelson and Heather are both so personable and enjoyable that, after I delivered and the frequency of my visits went back to normal, I was actually sad that I wouldn’t get to chat with them as often. I would recommend Dr. Nelson to anybody without reservation.
