History

Established in 2014.

Crystal Joys was originally founded in 1986 by Joy Renee Dudley as a traveling store that appeared at many metaphysical, renaissance and gemstone fairs throughout the Midwest for over a decade. Joy Renee was a Reiki Master and spiritual healer and used many of the stones in her work with others. The store developed into a jewelry and rock shop over time as Joy and Clint Dudley became known for making jewelry and pendants as well as selling unique gemstones and minerals. The Dudley family would often go on «rock hunting» trips to dig for rocks and crystals in mines throughout the country.

Carmen (Dudley) Sample and Mark Sample re-​opened Crystal Joys in Longmont, Colorado in 2014 with original inventory from her mother and a new collection. Crystal Joys continues to sell rocks, gemstones and handmade jewelry with a focus on the healing energy properties of the natural stones. We are happy to sell rocks and handmade items both in-​store and online.
