A friend and I stopped by for a late breakfast last Sunday. Crane Hollow is a small homey place. Kind of a hole in the wall but in a good way. I love that kind of place. The staff was relaxed and friendly. I felt welcome. This place is is pace of old Colorado that has not disappeared in the recent sprawl of Longmont. I fully intended to get the huevos rancheros because I can’t get them back home in New England but the waitress suggested the tamales and eggs. GOODCALL ! The over easy eggs were perfectly executed and the tamales insanely good. I want to go back and try the huevos rancheros but it will be a struggle not to order the tamales again. They were the real deal. I also had a cup of chai which was a little sweet but had a great spicy flavor. Weirdly it went well with the food. This was a landmark breakfast I will not forget anytime soon. Seriously this place was a perfect breakfast experience. Go to Crane Hollow and EAT.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict. It was by far the best I’ve ever eaten! We started off with a cinnamon roll which was to die for! Even their strawberry jam tasted homemade! It is certainly one we’ll visit again!

Great little breakfast spot… lots of meat and veggie options that offer a perfect start to your day. The veggie quiche was cooked perfectly accompanied by breakfast potatoes. Make sure to order a cinnamon rolls: house made and WOW it is awesome. I didn’t eat a biscuit but noticed them on the counter, looked delicious.

Hit this place today with friends after the Longmont Turkey Trot. We sat on the patio, it was lovely. The waitress gave us a cinnamon roll appetizer which was amazing. I had an omelet with peppers, bacon& goat cheese served with sourdough toast, real homemade jelly, and home fries(potatoes). My friend got a chai with hers and liked it. Everyone was happy with their meal, reasonable price & good service. We will return!

Just discovered this little gem down the street from our new neighborhood. The breakfast burrito with green chile is great. I’m a bit of a wuss with the spicy stuff, so I like my green chile more flavorful than spicy, and this was perfect! Their iced chai is very yummy too. Great spot for locals and if you’re biking through the area.

LOVE this place. Simple menu. Good food. Perfect patio. Tamales will rock your world. This place is amazing because you’re just a few minutes from Boulder, but like you’ve been transported somewhere hours away.

Great little breakfast and lunch café. Simple and delicious foods, very home-made. The menu is limited but they have all the essentials and some excellent green chili.

What a neat small town café. I have been there several times. It must be good because I drive from Brighton just to go there!

This place is so delicious! I love the quaint cozy feel of this café. The lunch I ordered was simple and very flavorful! I had the BLT with avocado added and a side salad with balsamic dressing. Just the right amount of food. We also had a slice of coconut cream pie after and it was perfect! The server was a bit slow but very pleasant. We sat on the patio in back. Will go back!

Our favorite local breakfast spot. Really good food, pleasant atmosphere. Service can be a little disorganized but is always accommodating.

I wanted to give a four star review, we were seated promptly but then no one waited on us until we waived someone down. Love the quaint setting, but another customer in the dining room was rather loud and distracting talking to her companion. We had the breakfast tamales and huevos rancheros. Eggs overcooked on both orders, supposed to be over easy on mine and over medium on tamales. The rest of the breakfast was yummy. Coffee fresh at ten am. We will try again since we try to support the local economy.

Had breakfast here recently and it was everything that I had heard. In a word — ECELLENT. Quaint local feel with a very friendly staff, wonderful menu and excellent food. I had the Chorizo Hash and we shared a Cinnamon sticky bun(wow!). Highly recommend if your in the neighborhood. Can’t wait to go back and try the homemade Bread Pudding.

Great little family-style restaurant — eaten there twice in 2 days. The sweet rolls are YUMMY! The smothered burrito with green chile sauce was tasty, the veggie omelet was delicious, the breakfast tamales were great, the chorizo hash was so good I didn’t even share it. The coffee was not that good but they have cappuccino as an alternative. It is a tiny little place where everyone seems to be a regular and the staff all know their names. Eat there again tomorrow and they might know mine.

Would like to post a good review like the rest of them but we never even managed to get seated. Came to Crane Hollow for lunch with my family from out of town. Restaurant was rather empty(can’t be sure as we were never seated) but still we stood there there for 10 minutes with the hostess/waitress passing us multiple times and never so much as offering us a seat. She told us she would be with us shortly but shortly never came. We won’t be going back.

Great breakfasts, especially when you are out riding. They are friendly and while small the menu has the basics that make a breakfast stop enjoyable. I get the steelcut oatmeal, and it is great. This one isn’t all messy like some places make oatmeal. It has great flavor and a little texture. Get the dried fruit and some soy milk and a cup of coffee and relax. Love it when I am out cycling, it is very cyclist friendly and is usually filled with a few of us in stretchy shorts and jerseys, but it isn’t packed with sweaty folks! Nice place to stop.

Wonderful local food of the highest quality, very cozy atmosphere, and the friendliest staff. I ordered the veggie scramble and a chai for breakfast, and the scramble had a wide variety of vegetables with perfectly cooked eggs. The chai was one of the best I’ve had. I love how everyone from the town of Hygiene seems to flock here. If you’d like to experience a little piece of the country outside of Boulder, this is the place for you!

My family and I were traveling back to Missouri from vacation in Estes Park, and we decided to drive into Hygeine to see if we could find a greasy-spoon for breakfast. We found the Crane Hollow Café. What a great surprise. The food and service were terrific. I had breakast tamales which were out of this world. And the kids had French toast. I highly recommend this place for breakfast for locals or hungry travelers.

I had lunch with a friend here today, after years of riding by here on my bike. The atmosphere was homey and friendly. I had a hamburger, which was great… a large hamburger patty that was cooked perfectly. I added swiss cheese, bacon and avocado… and was pretty happy I did. My friend had chicken salad, which she enjoyed. We split a slice of chocolate cake which was awesome. The wait staff is super friendly. This is a perfect small town café… with wi-fi! I’ll be back here very soon.
