Interested in the cultural background behind the music that she plays, New York based cellist and gambist Sarah Stone performs with early music ensembles including the Sebastians, Juilliard415, Trinity Baroque Orchestra, Mercury: the Orchestra Redefined, Filigree Baroque, MUSA and SacroProfano. Sarah recently returned from France, where she took part in Dans les Jardins de William Christie with members of Les Arts Florissants. She holds a Master of Historical Performance Cello from the Juilliard School, a Master of Cello Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Rice University.
