Right off of the eastbound LIE out of the midtown tunnel. Get off at BQE exit and cautiously get right and pull off at the truck next to the cemetary. This place rules! Best roadside food in Queens!

I may not be a journeyman coming back home to LI through the LIE after a long day’s work, but I do know a great Italian Sausuge or Philly Cheese, especially when it comes to the food truck variety.
Ray’s Tasty Sausage delivers! This spot has been around for 40 years (it was even in the first Godfather movie) and it’s continuing its excellence into the 21st Century.
I highly recommend my own version of the Philly, mozzarella cheese, avocado (if they have it), lettuce, tomato, mayo and their homemade hot sauce (it’s Mexican salsa roja, so go easy on it if you’re not familiar).
Given the location, this place suits truck drivers, bus drivers, cabbies, the aforementioned Bridge & Tunnel posse and anyone that happens to be near Greenpoint and LIE in a car, so if you’re in Sunnyside or Maspeth, swing on through.
