Very professional with good products. A place for higher quality items. Don’t come here for cheap things/deals.

They are the best! Alesha goes out of her way to make sure I’m taken care of quickly at the pharmacy. She rocks and the store is adorable. She always knows my name – nice personal touch.

I just want to echo all the love Olympia is getting– every word of it is true! Alesha and Christine go above an beyond every time: they have both helped me work out insurance confusion and last minute prescriptions! They remember your name and are always accommodating. I never realized that could be possible with a pharmacy! They are the best!

I’ve been coming to Olympia since it opened. Easily the MOST personable, friendly and attentive service of any business. Alesha and Christine are practically members of the family, let alone the Astoria community. They’ll look out for your good health and your wallet. Many thanks«Habibi»

Alesha has gone out of her way on more than one occasion to look up coupons for me online to save me money and even caught mistakes my doctor had made and called to correct them. My generic prescriptions are less expensive than the nearby CVS. Although there hours leave much to be desired they will deliver for you if you can’t make it in time and really need meds.

They are okay. I went in once to get some general stuff and the lady behind the counter acted as if she didn’t want to give me the time of day. The atmosphere in there is pretty nice and it doesn’t smell like a hospital. If I am in the shopping center and I need to pick up stuff, I would go back but I would not go out of my way to come here. Price wise, they are a bit ridiculous.

Love Olympia Chemists. Alesha never fails to remember my name, my wife’s name, whatever medicine I/she last took, what it was for and never fails to do it all with a smile. We even get reminder calls every month for a recurring ‘scrip if we are late in picking it up. Just the kind of mom-and-pop store that you want so much to succeed in your neighborhood, amid the countless chain stores where you wait forever, no one knows or cares who you are and theres ALWAYS an insurance snafu. Not here. You will be a customer with a name and taken care of by the wonderful folks here. We moved to the other side of Astoria, but still go back when we need a ‘scrip filled. Some great all-natural selections as well.

I absolutely love this pharmacy! It brings me back to the old days when Pharmacists were respectful of a persons privacy, were knowledgeable of what they were dispensing and most importantly addressing their customers by first name. Try getting this from a Duane Reade or CVS. It does not exist because the Pharmacists at these big chains could not care less who you are and behave like you are imposing on them when you want to ask a question. Basically they want your insurance $$$!! This type of service is a dying breed in this city and I wholeheartedly support Olympia by traveling in from Manhattan to fill my prescriptions. I recommend you do to.

Dear CVS, After six years, I’m ending our relationship. And believe me, it’s not me, it’s you. While I loved you for a good five years, I’m afraid this last year has really shown me your true colors. Remember when you had just a few awesome pharmacists that really knew their stuff? And how you’d take the time to call me and let me know if my meds were out of stock and needed to be ordered? Well, now the dozen or so staff members you have working at one time never seem to have their act together or be on the same page and I can’t take it any more. Last time I had my prescription filled it took me three trips to get it from you. The time before that it took two trips. You never call anymore when a med I’ve requested is out of stock, and one of your sneaky new pharmacists actually tried to give me a generic when my Rx blatantly had«Dispense as Written» on it. Oh, and you have no public bathroom. You have sick people coming to you all day and nowhere for them to barf or poop? For shame. So we’re through. I’ve found a better, sexier, and more reliable pharmacy and dare I say it’s true love. Her name is Olympia Chemists. We first met a few weeks ago when I was battling a serious cough. The following week I went to pick something up and a pharmacist I had not met before was behind the counter, yet she saw my order history and asked me how my cough was… and with such genuine concern it was like we’d been friends for years! When I called in a prescription and they didn’t have the full amount they called back immediately to let me know. I’m not sure of their bathroom status, but for a small pharmacy I’m willing to let it go. CVS, you’re a chain. You may be open 24⁄7 and even on holidays, but you have no excuse to not have a public bathroom. Our differences run deep these days, CVS, but I wish you the best. I hope someday you find a patient who loves you the way I’ve come to love Olympia Chemists. But that patient just isn’t me.

Awesome phamacy. The lady who runs this place is simply the BEST — she knows me by name and remembers every details of our conversation. As far as the phamacy is concerned, they have lots of items including natural organic items — HOWEVER, price them first. I noticed the price is very high compare to other oh-so-unfriendly phamacy in the hood.

I second the above. The woman who runs it is wonderful, she knows me by name after my first time there. AS a matter of fact she calls me to tell me she’s got my prescription instead of me having to call to have it ordered. Most importantly they’ve got tons of yummy«green» options for toiletries and health products.

Best pharmacy in all of Astoria. You know how everyone goes to that bar on Cheers because everybody there knows your name? That’s how I feel going to this pharmacy. The woman who runs the pharmacy recognizes me and treats me like a valued customer(how different from all those chain pharmacies!) I once had to send a friend to pick up a prescription when I was out of town, and it was no problem. I will never fill my prescriptions anywhere else.
