If you ever get your car towed by this company and get charged more than 125 $ to get your car out, please go ahead and report them with the Department of Consumer Affairs to get your a refund. Make sure you keep the receipt and proof. On the DCA’s website, it clearly states: «If your car is towed for blocking a driveway, the maximum fee is 125 plus tax». Don’t overpay this company! Also, by law they have to accept credit card. I made a stupid mistake paying them way more than I should have. and they asked for cash only. Was told by a friend about how he got his money back. I hope noone else will ever get overcharged by this company!

Reliable my ass. these guys are a bunch of thieves. They illegally tow your car claiming to be part of the Nypd? Like seriously. This is why cops have a bad image. Then they forcefully demand cash in ridiculous amounts. I’m just warning you guys don’t just go for the name Cus it says «NYC «and certainly they are not prime at all what they perform is more like a crime. shitbags!

After getting an ETA for a tow truck from my insurance company of approximately 2 ½ hours, I called several other companies. Prime Towing was the only one that didn’t attempt to play games and gave me a fair quote. Just as importantly, they came out in about 15 minutes which was when they said they would be there. Mike who was the driver was very nice and right away I felt comfortable that everything was going to go smoothly and that he was not going to try to squeeze more money out of me. He even offered to give me the receipt before he towed the car to assuage my concerns. He also called to alert me that he missed the exit and was going to be 5 minutes late to the drop off. I highly recommend Prime Towing.

I’m a security supervisor for a coop in Manhattan. A car was blocking one of our driveways. I called NYC Prime Towing. They gave me an ETA of 25 minutes. The tow arrived in 20 and had the car out of there within minutes! Will definitely use this company for future tows.

I have a lowered car and this towing company did what they said they can. After 3 towing trucks that turned away, and having my car stay on the street over night, I was just so happy that he was able to put in a flatbed and towed it to the shop.
If ever I needed towing I will definitely call them again. FYI my car in 2″ lowered to the ground and it was towed flawlessly! The tow trunk driver was very helpful and nice!
Though when I called them around 3 – 4 am no one answered (they’re supposedly, open 24 hrs) so I called again around 6 am and was able to speak with somebody.

Don’t bother calling. Move to the next guy on the list. They’re supposed to do a service for the customer. That’s why they have trucks. However, they worry more about getting the truck dirty than doing the job. Terrible personality and not helpful at all. Maybe they make money keeping the truck new. Terrible company.

Any service that only asks for cash and is willing to take you to an ATM is a scam. Don’t bother to call them. They aren’t the only game in town.
