Totally underwhelming. Wouldn’t add ham to the spinach Benedict. Used what seemed like old rolls instead of a toasted English muffin. Cash or Amex only. Coffee in paper cups. This was unbelievably lazy brunch and not in a good way.

What a yummy surprise we stumbled upon today. The green eggs and ham is something I would come back for tomorrow if I could. What a good idea. Geoffrey was a nice server and the heat lamp outside was perfect for a fall day. Will be back!

Never usually give bad reviews! But came in monday labor day! The bartender was really sweet and all looked really nice and settled. We had to wait 20 mins to sit outside while the tables were empty but you know thats fine. Coming down to the drinks and snacks well the brunch menu looked really cute but the taste was not of the expectations. Not only that the girls ordered for long island iced tea well nothing to say about that. Just wanted the others to know. If you are just going to beers thats fine but cocktails and food? A big no no my friends!

Horrible experience — 5 minutes for anyone to greet us and give us menus — waiter looked annoyed taking orders, after only about a minute, she cut us off and left — waiter spilled a lot of water and didn’t offer a napkin, say sorry or clean up — she brought receipt and wanted us to pay before even serving our orders — they don’t accept anything but cash or american express

Basically went in since it didn’t look busy only two tables in the place were occupied. If only we knew why. Anyways As soon as we look around no workers to be seen. We seat ourselves and pretty much wait. 5 minutes goes by and we see a bartender/bussboy? and he asks if we are staying to eat? Well usually people eat in restaurants so yes we are hungry… Then 5 more minutes and the waitress comes by asking if we want menus. God kill me now. YESWEWANTTOEAT. Finally get menus and now I guess she decides to be prompt and comes back twice asking if we are ready yet and cuts us off in the middle of ordering I guess we were too slow for her even though we were pretty patient for the lack of service to begin wit.(party of 5) She then Comes back and finishes our order.(who leaves in the middle of someone speaking? super rude) She slams the glasses and spills water on the table. NO sorry NO wiping NOT even A NAPKIN! Just half assed wiped with her hand and continued. Like really? wtf. Could it get worse… YES This waitress comes back and slaps the bill on the table before we even receive any of our dishes. What a better way to say«get the f out». Of course outraged we were asking what type of service is this to ask us to pay before we even taste a bite. Some lame excuse barely stammered out. Worst service will not return. Also I found it strange amex or cash only.

Went for brunch. Had the Green Eggs and Ham. We far better then expected. Friend had French a toast which was also good. Wish the glass of OJ was bigger(a bit pricey). Would go back again

AMEX or CASH only! I came here for lunch. It’s located in the heart of LIC. Masso is a trendy italian/café restaurant. I have been tempted to eat here in the past, but the lunch menu didn’t quite appeal to me. I find that some of the lunch items are on the pricey end and menu is part italian and part café. You don’t get the whole menu experience. I finally decided to come in today and give it a try. I ordered the chicken parm. It was a very nice portion. Got additional parm and fresh ground pepper. I find this to be the standard at italian restaurant but since I went to one restaurant that didn’t offer it, I feel the need to put it in my review. The parm was delicious. Good amount of tomato sauce and cheese. It was flavorful. I would have been a bigger fan of this place, but the price and the credit cards limitation drops a star and half. 3.5 stars IMO.

Came here for brunch. Had a positive experience. The restaurant is very neat and I love the décor(I am laughing at myself while I write this ridiculous statement). I came for brunch on Sunday and didn’t go disappointed. Had the eggs Benedict with salmon. The salmon was very tasty. I also had the quinoa dish with a poached egg on. It is really simple, but very well made. After this experience I’d be curious to try this restaurant another time.

I have to agree with the mass… this place, although cute is not the place to go if you’re looking to eat really good food. It appears to be more of a «have yourself a drink with a couple of friends and have some things to munch on» kind of a place. Though the food is ok, it’s not anything to rave about… I did like the cute outdoor seating and thought service was pleasant…

The brunch menu is TINY… And nothing special. This is such a great location and the restaurant is lovely, but the food, eghhhh. They need a new menu. For cocktails it’s great and dog friendly outdoor space but the menu needs more than french toast and caprese…

Be prepared to use your Amex or pay in cash. The food here is good — nothing spectacular or mind blowing. You can also sit outside when the weather is nicer and people watch. For what it is, Masso is a good neighborhood place to grab a bite.

Amex or cash only. Strange. Stopped in on a Sunday for an adult beverage and a snack. Very cute setting, menu that could use a little face lift and a staff that could work on their attitude. Namely, the bartender. Though she didn’t service us, her behavior to other patrons was snippy and rude. And didn’t go unnoticed. I’m sorry she hates her job. App list is short but their bruschetta was tasty as was their caprese. Not too sure I’d return. It’s a shame because their location is prime and their open windows to the street are right up my alley.

We came here in a Sunday afternoon. I was hungry and craving for something delicious and not too pricy. I was first impressed by the waitress, she was welcoming and very articulate. Sometimes when you go to restaurants and they tell you the special of the day you kind of get lost in the words. Our waitress in this restaurant was very engaging in the explanation of the menu. The food was good. I ordered the burger and beer. The beer was great! It was an in house lager. Light and tasty. My boyfriend ordered the chicken parm, which he highly recommends. It was a large serving and tasted very good.

Nice enough ambiance. Pretty scarce for 10pm on a Saturday night. Waitress was great. The food however was pretty horrible. Mashed potatoes and veg were fine, but I think the cook put my steak in a microwave. Was completely inedible. I tried a few bites, but really was just not possible to eat it. Fine place to grab a drink, skip the diner.

Their Daily Specials seem very good. The $ 10 for a beer and a burger seem like an awesome deal. We came on a Saturday evening. Very relaxing ambiance, great service and pretty solid food. The menu is pretty basic with some nice pasta dishes at decent prices. I had a couple of glasses of the Montepulciano that opened up nicely and went excellent with the Spaghetti Bolognese. We also tried the crab cakes, which were good, and the chicken vegetable soup, which was excellent. I would come back if I am in the area and craving a clean cut and quick Italian meal, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here. A solid 3.5 stars.

We came here for brunch because we live in the neighborhood and we wanted to try every restaurant on the strip. Masso looks legit and have been in this area for a long time. I like they have windows that open to the floor and the breeze comes in when you eat. They have great dinner specials too. The brunch here is alright. I do enjoy my scrambled eggs with sausage. It is probably the best dish among 4 entrees we tried. My husband’s burger was nothing exciting and not much dressing on top. My friend got their sandwich but the bacon was overcooked and dry. It will be hard to come back again unless we just ordered the wrong dishes on the menu.

Come here for: the dog-friendly terrace or the cozy fire, depending on the time of year. Plus, maybe the best salad in LIC. ____________ Just the other day I was saying to myself, «You know, Self, you haven’t found any really good salads in LIC.» Then on a random Sunday I walked into Masso all disgruntled because my friend didn’t feel like pizza next door at l’Inizio, and lo and behold, there was the very thing I’d been missing. Funny how food works that way in NYC. The salad in question was baby spinach with green apples and shaved pecorino, plus a $ 5 upcharge for some really nice sauteed shrimp. A few candied pecans would have made it perfect, but I’m not complaining. All together it cost $ 13, which seemed like a bargain given the size.(Compared to the $ 12 charge for the small, weak cocktail — ginger and passionfruit, I believe — the salad seemed like an even better deal.) My friend said his chicken parm was«just okay,» but he ate every bite before I could see for myself, so I suspect it was better than he let on. We watched several other dishes come out of the kitchen, and they all looked great, so we’ll definitely be back. Food & décor were well above the neighborhood average, but service nearly ruined the experience for me. Our waitress was so detached she might have been stoned. She only came to life when she got together with her fellow servers, right behind our table, to complain loudly about a large party eating outside. If you’re going to be bitchy and unprofessional, can you at least try to lower your voice?

We had the mozzarella tomato and basil and the lasagna. The mozzarella tomato and basil was good a little more olive oil and juicer tomatoes would have made it a lot better! The lasagna was too liquid, sauce was all over the place with hardly any meat and pasta. More soup than a lasagna as my girlfriend would say. The ambiance was really nice with lots of young crowd only wish the food was better

This LIC restaraunt has a very nice set up with a TV lounge area and some tables for outdoor dinning. However the food is nothing to rave about. We had the eggs Benedict, chicken panini with home fries, and orange juice and strawberry mimosas. The home fries tasted like they were pre-made and were sitting under a heat lamp. They also had no seasoning. We had to ask for ketchup to help with the taste. I had just a few drops of salad dressing on my only leafy salad. The panini and eggs Benedict were good but very small portioned. My strawberry mimosa didn’t taste or look like strawberries.(See pictures) The worst part of the brunch is at the end when they tell you they only accept American Express or cash. They gladly point out they have a ATM inside for a fee. After dining we walked down the sidewalk along the outside tables to notice an exterior door propped open. We saw a kitchen staff cutting up chicken and placing it in to buckets. This didn’t look sanitary or appealing. We don’t plan on coming back for brunch.
