I love you guys! I wish you guys have your own store soon so I can actually taste the deliciousness more often! I first tried your guy’s ice cream at Brooklyn Night Bazaar and it was so unique and delicious. Now this time around, I tried your floats and I was just full of happiness afterwards. It was a pink lemonade float and it was the right about tangy flavor and sweet. I hope you guys open a store soon so everyone can try your guys floats! Definitely check it out!

I figured I’d need to hit their stand at the LIC Flea early to score their best flavors with my $ 20 Amazon Local voucher, but unfortunately all that got me was the limited selection rock solid courtesy of dry ice. Friendly staff let me purchase a scoop and an ice cream sandwich first in hopes that they’d thaw as I walked around, but given the size and quality of the vendors, that didn’t work, so I just grabbed my pint and bounced with all 3 and ate them an hour or so later when they thawed. Solid product and blood orange and Mexican vanilla flavors to go with the Splinters (which they only had in pint form).

I was visiting NYC and tried Ice & Vice for the first time at the LIC Flea Market last week. I could taste the quality of care and ingredients in the flavor and texture and love their non-​traditional flavors. I tried Milk Money, Farmer Boy, and Nuts of Wrath — all were A-​MAZ-​ING. Creamy, rich, and true flavors (not overly sweet) that complement each other beautifully.
But after I made a pig of myself and was still too full to think rationally I tried their ice cream sandwich. OMG it was spectacular, and I wasn’t even hungry!!! I wish I could travel home with ice cream because I would have had to check another bag but alas, I need to wait until my next trip to NYC to get my next Ice & Vice fix.
If you are in the area, it’s definitely worth a special trip — you won’t be disappointed. Yumm-​o!!! I can’t wait until they open a store front — but I anticipate long lines and a need for traffic control. :)

Simply put, it’s the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted.

Ran into Ice & Vice at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar… I think I’m in love.
I’m a sucker for salted caramel and salted desserts in general, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try their Milk Money flavor – toasted milk ice cream with sea salt chocolate ganache.
That one scoop encompassed all that is right about ice cream. I love the complexity that the saltiness and chocolate added. And the richness of the flavor and texture were on point.
Will be on the lookout for these guys. I definitely want to try more of their flavors!

Ice & vice is apart of LIC Flea market.
We drove around looking for something refreshing on a hot ssummer day. They currently are working to get a actual store front. The two guys are super nice (I think they are the owners).
After reading the menu of all there favors, it all ssounded so good. So they told us to try all there flavors they are super nice!
The ice cream was rich not to sweet it was perfect!
Try the vanilla with black sea salt and there all star flavor milk and honey! What a treat! Definitely will be back soon.

Tea dance is hands down the most amazing ice cream I’ve ever had. It’s such a subtle yet beautifully crafted blend of flavors. The taste of tea is such a fragrant lingering taste in the background… And the random bits of caramel gives it that boost of sweetness here and there.
I need the creators of ice & vice to quit their day jobs and please make ice cream all week round because there’s serious talent here.
Love how they rotate flavors… Always something new to look forward to.

I first found out about the Long Island City Flea (LIC Flea) while aboard the Q66, on my way to Brooklyn. Since learning about it, I’ve made it a goal to drop by. I am really happy to finally have gotten the chance to check out it out over the weekend (as a Queens resident, the visit was way overdue). The LIC Flea is an outdoor flea and food market that takes place every weekend (very similar to Williamsburg’s Smorgasburg). There were quite a handful of local vendors I’ve never heard of and I was really excited to try a couple of them.
As much as I genuinely enjoyed all of the food items I got to taste, there was one vendor that stood out– Ice & Vice. Ice & Vice is «an experimental ice cream pop-​up shop». Though there are currently ten flavors, they offered three at the market:
Bridezilla– elderflower ice cream with strawberry champagne jam
Opium Den– poppy seed ice cream with brown bread croutons
Tea Dance– nilgiri tea ice cream with lemon charcoal and salted caramel (their signature flavor)
The crew let me sample all of the flavors. The first one I tried was the Opium Den which wasn’t overly sweet and had layers of texture from the poppy seeds. The second flavor I tried was the Bridezilla which was sweeter (without being too sweet) and fragrant. It reminded me a lot of Laduree macarons and weddings. I eventually decided to get a scoop ($ 4.50) of the Tea Dance, which was the sweetest one out the three and also the richest and creamiest. I also found it to be the most complex flavor– the sweet and salty alternate in the palete. I made my round at the flea market with the ice cream on hand and then came back again to get a scoop of the Bridezilla.

Yum! Unique flavors!!! The baguette ice cream? hellz yea!

OMG — Ice cream won’t ever be the same. I’ve dropped by their cute ice cream cart a few times (they rotate around different food/​vendor markets) and each flavor is insanely rich and decadent, and original! HOLY CRAP.
Have tried:
Lemon pie with graham crust and juniper berry
Toasted baguette with fig goat cheese jam
Pumpkin seed with crystallized ginger
Honeydew prosciutto with vinaigrette reduction
Popcorn with raisins and dark chocolate flakes
Black rice horchata with cinnamon and coconut milk
Hickory smoked chocolate with szechuan peppercorn
Okay, that list is insane. Basically, drop by and they give you free samples of all their flavors… they rotate 3 at each event. I’d be hard pressed to decide on a favorite… I guarantee even if you don’t like certain ingredients, don’t knock it til you’ve tried it. For example, I usually hate ginger and peppercorn and those are AMAZING flavors.
Every time I try their ice cream, everything else disappoints. Gelato, froyo, other ice cream. Ice n Vice (awesome name!) flavors are so intensely infused that it’s like eating the real thing… only in ice cream, which is better!
Not to mention, the 2 guys that sell are SUPER friendly and excited about their product. They seriously need to open a ²⁴⁄₇ store. LOVE

Holy cow. I had their toasted baguette, fig and goat cheese ice cream. A perfect blend of sweet and savory. How they got that ‘toasted’ ‘burnt’ flavor into the ice cream while maintaining the sourness of the cheese and sweet fig… I don’t know (industry secret)… but it was the perfect scoop of ice cream. The most decadently tart, sweet, creamy scoop I’ve ever had.

I stumbled upon Ice & Vice at the LIC Flea & Food Market on an unseasonably warm October day. Figuring I couldn’t pass up one of the last chances to eat ice cream before it got cold, I decided to try one of their unusual flavor combinations.
My girlfriend and I shared the «Pork Your Melons» — prosciutto, cantaloupe, and white balsamic — and it was fantastic! The flavors worked amazingly well together and on top of that the ice cream itself was really good quality. A single serving was definitely enough for the two of us because of how rich and flavorful their ice cream is. Though I do regret not being able to try more of their other flavors.
While we were there we started chatting with the men that own it. They’re two very enthusiastic and genuine young guys who truly seem to delight in engineering an honest and tasty product (they even went to ice cream college!). The pride they take in their craft is apparent. And they were completely devoid of any of the pretension that we’ve found in similar establishments in, oh say, Brooklyn.
I’m excited to learn that they’ll be around Queens in the local/​gourmet food network (at the Flea and at the Urban Market). If you have the chance to try their ice cream, don’t pass it up. It’s worth it, I promise.

A great combination of savory and sweet. A bit more on the sweet side at times so one scoop is plenty. Looking forward to trying new flavors — Would love something cool and refreshing!

Ice and Vice are all about making new and innovative flavors! Who else makes a melon & prosciutto flavored ice cream? (Reminds me of the Korean Melona bar)
The fellas behind Ice & Vice are extremely friendly and are all about letting you try their flavors. I liked After School Special… I mean who doesn’t like fruity pebbles? But my favorite has got to be Southern Belle! I love the hint of lemon taste. The ice cream is definitely decadent… a very rich and creamy blend…1 scoop is plenty!
Next time you’re around LIC Flea, treat yourself to some Ice & Vice… you’ll become a fan!

Tried their ice cream at the end of our trip to the LIC Flea. Super nice guys let us taste every flavor they had. The winner was honeydew prosciutto. Holy crap I would have bought a gallon if I could get it home without melting. I’m coming back to them wherever they are. Hopefully in my supermarket soon.
