Do they even wash the towels?
No flip flops and the AC in the female locker rooms doesn’t work. So its another Sauna in there.
Please save your money and DO not go in. EVERY single massage therapist in that dump is NOT licensed.

I wish I could give them no star! the WORST SPA EVER!!! and I’ve been to quite a few… I arrived there at 4 pm, and the girl at the front desk told me they were closing at 6 pm because supposedly the maintenance guy was coming after. Though, website hours say 9am-​9pm. It really felt like it was slow and she just wanted to leave earlier. so she goes: «You can come some other time» well, I only traveled from Brooklyn for an 1,5…Well I decided to have the best out of this two hours. I was the only person there to my surprise, which was totally fine. So they had one sauna and steam room. That’s it?!? So she just turned the sauna on, so it took time to preheat. I had my own platza, so I couldn’t find the bucket to soak it. I asked the girl, she said they didn’t have one. even though they advertised the platza treatment. The bar was closed. Usually this kind of spas offer food. Forget about this one, not even tea, or juice, etc. So the place itself looked dirty and like it’s being renovated or something. So the sauna was getting nice and hot exactly how I like it, and at 5 pm the sauna shut down and started to cool off. I asked the girl if she can do anything about it, she answered that she had no control over it, and it should start back on it’s own. Guess what, it never did! So when I asked the girl why it was so chaotic? her answer was, it’s not chaotic at all, just her boss needs to update the site. Instead of talking back, she should’ve apologize for this nonsense which I paid for through Groupon. I can’t imagine people paying for it the full price, which is $ 50!!! Unheard of! I wish I could get my $$$ back and my time and my nerves!!! False advertisement, dirty facility and extremely rude receptionist. She clearly hates her job and feeling miserable, so she is trying to make other people to feel the same, though it supposed to be relaxing time. Sigh… I hope the owner reads it.

Over the weekend, I drove into Queens with a friend to enjoy an all day access pass to the spa, which I purchased on Groupon.
Euphora is located near the Queensboro bridge and there is plenty of metered parking in the area.
Prior to going to the facility I called them to verify what was included with the Groupon and to confirm their hours for the weekend. My biggest gripe is that I was never informed I had to pay a tax fee along with the Groupon deal during that conversation. And of course, with my luck, I only had my card on me and their card reader was down.
The woman at the reception desk explained to us what was included with the all day access pass and gave us keys to the locker room. The locker rooms weren’t in the best condition. And why was there someone’s razor lying around in one of the locker room showers?
All of that aside, the place was quiet and it was just us two for the most part enjoying the facility. We started off by using the steam room to clear up our pores, moved on to the jacuzzi, and finally enjoyed the pool.
During that time, the bar downstairs was not open, which is a shame. What if I wanted a smoothie?
It’s one of those… mehhh… it’s okay, but for a «spa» facility I expected a little bit more glitz and glamour perhaps.

Not worth 50 dollars to get in, better off going to Spa Castle, Great Jones or a ton of others for less, theres ONE sauna and a steamroom, what am I missing here?
It’s a shame because this is in walking distance to my place.
SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON YOU!

Horrible!!! Let me explain. My boyfriend booked a couples massage for our anniversary. He knows how much I love bathhouse/​steam rooms/​jacuzzi so he picked this place. We waited a long time for our masseuse. They were 45min late for our appointment and the place was empty. They asked us to relax down stairs where the «facilities» are. That was empty which was a plus. The bathroom was Filthy. You have no idea. Needed to be cleaned maybe a month ago. We tried to use the steam room but it wouldnt turn on. We asked the people upstairs they said «oh sorry it’s not working right now». Didnt tell us before. We’ll the sauna isnt turning on either. She comes down and tries to turn it on. It’s not even that hot. She said we should come back another time when it’s working. Couples massage was really expensive (450 tip) and only came with the massage because the facilities were clearly not working. Also need to mention that the massage was not good at all. I told her were to work on and to put pressue. She didn’t do anything I said. So fast forward I just today called to see if their «facilities» are working again (only place local) and I get a girl who clearly should not be working there. She sounds very immature and clueless about customer service. She says we should have said something back then and has an additude. I was being nice! I said we did and you can look in your computer and see when we came because you already have that information. She couldnt say much to that but I really couldnt stand the lack of apperication these people have for their customers so I hung up. I wasn’t going to write this review back then but after this, I have to. I believe they should have done something for us at this point because there’s no way in hell are we paying $ 50 a person to use your crappy steam room. There are MUCH better places that I can visit once a week for a $ 35 all day pass and will…

My impression of a spa is a place to come to relax. This experience was everything BUT relaxing! I would not give this place one star if I didn’t have to. Went here Saturday with one guest using a Groupon that I’d purchased, after calling many times previously. The first time I called I learned that the business was closed Mondays, this is not what is advertised on their website in fact I was not able to find business hours on the site which why I called in the first place.
The receptionist was rude and was not at the desk when we arrived, which is fine, but she did not greet us when she did come to the front. I had my phone with the Groupon pulled up on the screen on the desk, when she walked up she continued taking care of the patrons there before us. We greeted her with «hello», and without looking up or giving eye contact she says «I’ll be with you in a minute». Ok… so I’m looking over the list of services and I notify her that I have a Groupon, she hurriedly explains that I still have to pay tax which would be $ 5.23. I asked her what the percentage off is for services using the Groupon, she informs me that I’d get 20% off of services. I notice that there is a sticky taped to the computer that says that the credit card machine is down. She’s steady requesting the $ 5.23, rushing. SMH so I am looking over the list for services and notice that the prices are more than what is listed on the website. She informs me that they need to update their website. So they were not going to honor their web prices. She then tells me that they have «limited services today»…no mani/​pedis, hair etc. (ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON!?) which, are the services that I’ve come for. She again asks that I pay the tax on the Groupon.
So I tell her that I’d just called, no one mentioned that they only had services specific days OR that they weren’t accepting credit cards. She kept insisting that I use their ATM machine. (hmmm…no wonder the credit card machines are down) I told her that I would not be utilizing the spa. She tells me she already REDEEMED my Groupon! I am beyond annoyed at this point. I ask her how to reverse it, I never permitted her to redeem it. She smugly tells me, «I can’t reverse it, it’s done».
Of course I had Groupon reverse it but that was another annoyance to what was supposed to be a relaxing day at the spa.
NEVER AGAIN!

Changing my review to a 1 star. Looks like they rented their spa facilities to some asian acupuncture water ‘rehab’ company, so there’s a half dozen asian male staff running around while your trying to relax… ugh…message to management, are you TRYING to run your business to the ground? Whats the matter with you?!

The spa facilities are good. I guess the best in queens, very relaxing, never too crowded. The only complaint is that the employees are these big russian dudes that stroll through the spa area kind of randomly and seems like they just wonder through and hang around. It really kills the mood. Was there with my gf and she became uncomfortable.
I understand if they have to do some cleaning and maintenance once in a while, but it feels like its every 20 minutes some big sketchy dude with a sloppy tshirt and sweat pants strolls through… why not hire a friendly little lady to mop the floors? Someone a little less off-​putting than a big old hairy seedy looking guy??? makes sense to me, no?
That is my ONLY complaint… Otherwise I’d give them 5 stars. I hope mgmt is reading this…

I think the pool, hot tub, and sauna are great amenities to this place. I had a very nice one hour massage and my therapist was accommodating. Here’s the however part… locker room gross, no cups for the water, an employees young kids running around, and my massage room was freezing. Little things that really decrease the enjoyable part.

Went here with my husband for our 4 year anniversary. We got the Signature massages, mini-​facials and body scrubs. Very relaxing, people know what they’re doing, everyone was very nice.

I went on a Friday morning, around 11 AM. I was given a very good swedish massage, sat in a lovely jacuzzi, and was treated like a KING by the young attractive and attentive European women. Your going to spend money, $ 100 for the massage, plus I gave a $ 20 tip, but they told me for the money, I can hang out all day if I wanted too. (I stayed for 3 hours) For a guy, there’s nothing else to do in the facility and when I was there it was very quiet with the exception of maybe 2 other female patrons getting their hair done and massages. However, I found the privacy and the quiet atmosphere good. The place is very clean, there is a pool if you need to swim, and the music in the massage room is relaxing. There is no free parking, only street. The young woman at the desk made sure my meter was fed. Over all, nice experience…

I am not sure why this place has such mix reviews!
We came here on a Monday afternoon. The location isn’t the best one in the city but at least they have free parking.
The lobby was nice and I was excited to get into the locker room and put my robe on. I was very disappointed with the ladies locker room. It was nothing special and the bathroom was kind of dirty :(
I walked down the stairs to the «spa» area which was exactly what I had expected, a small pool, small jacuzzi, 2 saunas and one steam room. I knew this because I had looked at their website and it did not look like the facilities were going to be «luxurious». I mean if you are paying $ 35 for use of facilities the whole day don’t expect luxury! This is New York after all.
I had the hot stone massage and I could say it was seriously great. My masseuse was amazing, he helped get all the knots out of my shoulders and back. I was very happy with my hot stone massage. My husband had the deep tissue and he said the woman who did it for him was much better than other place we have been to. I can safely say that my massage was better than the Oasis spa on Park Ave in Manhattan.
By the way you get free wine when you get a massage.

My 18 year old niece and I tried this place for spa week. It is not a day spa. I don’t care if they have spa services, it’s not a spa

So here it is, registering at the front desk was fine. We arrived early to take advantage of the small pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. We were then given our locker keys and escorted to what I believed was the changing area for the water facilities. But ummm, no. The tiny locker room was the only bathroom/​changing area. The lockers reminded me of high school and were rusty and old. No amenities. No shampoo, tissues, or lotion. The blow dryers were broken and the shower areas as well as the general floor were dirty with hair. In addition, I am a larger sized woman and the tiny, cheap robe that was hanging in the locker didn’t fit around me. The towel was equally as cheap and tiny.
At this point I realized that upon booking our massages I wasn’t asked if I wanted a male or female massuse. I then asked them for females and was told that they were busy and that we would have to wait an extra 15 min. No problem, I was just happy that they were so accomodating.
Looking forward to my massage and hoping it would make up for the lack of comfort and cleanliness, we made our way to the water area. The water area was nice but the steam room was broken. We used the pool and the hot tub. I also decided to take the opportunity to have a drink at the bar. I ordered a glass of white wine and they didn’t have any liquor behind the bar. The guy had to go upstairs to get the wine and brought the glass down for me. What if I wanted more than one?
The staff then told us that it was time for our massages. We followed them upstairs and to one room. Ummmmmmmm, I love my niece but I didn’t want to get a massage in the same room with her. Alas, I tried to be understanding b/​c they never asked for my preference which caused me to change things at the last second and ask for females to give us the massages. But they should have told us this when we first spoke about it. Given the choice I would have taken the male and given my niece the female.
The room was standard. The music odd, some new agey bird sounds. Not very relaxing but rather amusing. The table was a standard table. No heated table here or even the thing where you put your head. Instead they had us lay face down into a rolled towel that was shaped into an oval.
Our massuses never introduced themselves. My nieces’s massause asked her if she had any concerns she should focus on. My massause didn’t bother asking this or even about the pressure. I had to repeatedly tell her to be firmer. No biggie this has happened before. The massage was okay, just okay. Once it was done, we had some uncomfortable moments while we tried to give the other some privacy to get back into the robes. The staff were waiting outside with cups of water.
Then after all of this we had to go back upstairs to the locker room. The place wasn’t crowded but I wasn’t thrilled out the possibility of being seen in my tiny robe by people waiting to register. In the locker room I ducked into the bathroom stall to change into my street clothes.
Checking out was fine except that while doing it, one of the male staff who obviously had a previous conversation with a female staff person approached us. While the female staff person stood by the couches he walked over to us and stood behind another woman at the front desk. As he was really tall he was able to stand behind her and pointed down and asked «her?» The female staff shook her head and then he stood in back of my niece and did the same thing. Satisfied that my niece was the person that they were previously discussing he then walked away.
We then paid our bill and left. Never again. I am sorry that I used my spa week money on this place.

So I went for my girls birthday as a present and I guess the whole spa thing is not really for me. While this was my first spa experience, it felt a bit awkward, especially getting a massage from a 60 year old lady. The massage it self was actually very good and felt extremely refreshing, overall the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The salt scrub was really weird and very awkward, by far my least favorite part of the experience. It was a bit pricey however, but birthdays do come once a year. Since we were the only ones in the spa the entire time we were the there, I wonder if Spa Castle would have been better, although when I called them to make a reservation they hung up the phone on me (great customer service!). Anyway, Ill let the rest of my massages to my girl.

Quick and dirty info:
This can totally be a self serve spa. Just pay the day rate ($ 45) and you get access to the facilities for as long as you like. That includes jacuzzi, steam room, cold pool, and sauna (2 of them). Plus there’s a bar where you can order champagne, beer, or wine or get bottles of water.
My experience:
Ok, so me and the hubs are a bit of spa-​fans. We’re normally used to a more spacious outdoor option like the Standard in Miami Beach (my absolute favorite). But for NY standards this place offers up a nice space.
At first we were going to try Spa Castle but read a lot of reviews that called it the Disney World of spas. Not exactly what we were looking for. We wanted an intimate place to relax and not be bothered by annoying conversations and kids splashing in the hot tub. So we found Euphora which was offering a Valentine’s Couple Package that included a 1 hour massage for us both and access to the facilities and all we can drink champagne, beer, wine or bottled water for $ 210 total. That seemed like a great deal.
We booked our appointment (midnight appointment) during the Couple’s Only hours 9pm-​2am and arrived at 9pm. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, hung our coats and gave us locker keys. The locker rooms are a bit small. At least the ladies’ locker room is. The benches are very slim, not a problem for me but another guest with a much larger rump was having a hard time putting her shoes back on without slipping off. Kinda not a nice thing to feel too big when you’re here to pamper yourself and feel good. Also, there are only 2 shower stalls and no curtains so I hope you’re not shy about getting naked in front of other women, otherwise, wear a bathing suit while you shower. Annoying little detail, the door to the locker room doesn’t close all the way unless you push it, so several times I had to go and snap it shut so people outside wouldn’t get a peak of my behind while I dressed.
OK, so the facilities:
The steam room is small, no room to lay down without being a jerk. When we were there the thermostat read 95° but it was definitely at least closer to 200°, a bit unbearable for us and we usually can take the heat (I practice Bikram Yoga). We mostly enjoyed ourselves by alternating between the sauna (the attendant sprayed eucalyptus all over it; a nice touch), the cold pool and the jacuzzi. And in between we would indulge on champagne and mimosas. It was all very relaxing and I would totally give this place a 5 star if it weren’t for a few details which took away from the total experience.
A)The place seriously needs more hooks for people to hang their robes. Everyone just threw theirs on the lounge chairs or couches and when you are trying to find a spot to sit it gets awkward when you have to move someone’s robe, not knowing if you are stealing someone’s chair or going to piss anyone off by touching their stuff.
B)It was couples’ night so there were, of course, couples everywhere and likely making out. Not a problem, but combined with the music choice — which was a medley of house and rave — I couldn’t help feeling like I was in some kind of college ecstasy party. It wasn’t helping us relax. It took us about a good hour and a half before we finally learned to ignore all the strange sights and sounds. At least we ended our night perfectly with the massage.
One Hour of Bliss:
Love love love massages. I made the mistake of not telling my dude I had a sprained knee, but that’s my fault. Otherwise, my massage rocked and the hubs was almost put to sleep with his. The music in the massage room was more on par with what you expect from a spa: Ambient music & nature noises. Totally relaxing.
In conclusion: I’d go back here, maybe not during couple’s hour to see if they play different music during the day. It’s a nice compromise between the cramped expensive salons in the city where you HAVE to purchase a package in order to use anything, and the theme park spa experience. Definitely nice to know there’s a place close by where I can get my sauna on for cheap.

everything inside seems pretty new. generally clean, nice, well-​lit, etc. steam room was a little hot for my taste, but i think i’m just a wuss.

it was really quiet until about 5:30pm when the after work crowd started to show up. definitely had a fun and relaxing time.

I had a lot of pain in my back So I decided to get a massage. Since I have heard that this spa in long island city was very good, I decided to try it out… I went there and got a massage from a massage therapist named keri and since I have not had any more pain. It was the best massage I have ever got… I totaly recomend it

I had the collagen facial here and it was great. My face looked spectacular after. She also gives you an upper body massage that was so relaxing. The pool and jacuzzi were extremely relaxing and clean. Not reeking of chlorine or discolored. The steam room was good and the sauna was extremely hot. I’m going to try to make this an annual thing with my cousin. I recommend going here. I did however forget my necklace in a pocket of my robe and called the next day to locate it and they never got back to me even though I continuously called them back.
