LIC: living is a lifestyle store where an urban dweller– whether a young professional, Mom, or fashionista, can come in and shop for almost any aspect of their life: apparel, shoes, accessories, gifts and home décor.

History

Established in 2012.

Rebekah Witzke and Jillian Tangen opened LIC: living November 9, 2012. We like to tell our customers and friends that we «met online.» Though we didn’t know each other, we both resided in the same building. We connected through an online community board where residents can advertise furniture for sale or receive recommendations for services in the neighborhood. Both of us had been thinking about making the entrepreneurial leap in our community but craved a partner to collaborate with. Upon Jillian’s husband’s advice she posted a «seeking business partner» post about starting a lifestyle boutique in the neighborhood. Due to a technical glitch, Rebekah couldn’t reply to the message and ended up leaving a handwritten note on Jillian’s door– the rest was history.
