Dave was really great. Professional, timely, fast, and substantially cheaper than every other estimate I had. What more could I ask for?

Dave and his crew were amazing! They were fast, efficient, friendly, and made our move seamless. They handled all our things with care and even managed to fix my broken media chest. I would most definitely recommend them and will be using them for our next move.

I used them to move this past week and they were awesome! Very helpful, polite and friendly. All the movers were very helpful (Richard, Dan and Dave) and they were very accommodating with everything. I would totally recommend them and use them again in the future. They are amazing!

Cant thank Dave enough for helping us move into our 4^th floor walk up in the UES this month! I had talked to him briefly in May when we were moving out of our old apartment but due to a schedule conflict, didnt end using his services. However, I was so impressed by his customer service and people skills that I saved his number in my phone for future reference. So when we had to move our things from a storage unit in Long Island City to UES, I knew just who to call! Dave and his crew were amazing! He managed to squeeze us in the day of and worked without any complaints as they took countless trips up to the 4^th floor. They were so nice and accommodating that later that week, we used them again to help deliver some things from Ikea to our apartment. Cant recommend these guys enough! Theyre AWESOME!

We switched a 2BR apartment in LIC with Dave, and the guys were great! I should note that I cold called several companies recommended to me by the new building and also grabbed Dave’s business card on a corner of the local street. He made me comfortable from the initial discussion — no rush, no gimmicks, clear rate and time estimate and a ton of valuable advice on packing (no idea how we would make it without gorilla tape and he was pretty spot on for the number/​sizes of boxes we needed, even offered to drop them off from home depot if we needed help). Overall was very efficient process, despite no cooperation from the moving out building. The crew organized everything in a very careful way. All items made it to a new place in one piece (well, they had to take apart our farm style table and big couch but they put those together as quickly, no missing hardware or dings). Top it off with a pleasant conversation to take a break from all the packing (little did i know he was the animator and other guys are not your typical muscle shirts either) and the stressful event turned out not so bad. Would call him on a whim the next time we need help (and they offer not just moving, but other help — like putting up shelves or TV on the wall, etc).

Absolutely fantastic mover! Very experienced and very cautious to not damage anything at all. The guys were blazing fast and had systems for how to do just about everything. We are very very impressed and would recommend Dave to anyone.

Dave the Mover is awesome. I’ve used him twice; once was a local move from one building in Long Island City to another and again to load a UHaul for an upstate move. He is the most reasonably priced mover I found, but his service is excellent. He was on time, careful with our belongings, trustworthy, and very efficient. He is very familiar with the buildings in LIC and was able to pack everything in our UHaul safely for our long drive.

Dave and his helper were professional and efficient for our small move in Queens. They were responsive to our needs and prompt. The job was completed quickly with no damage to our property. Highly recommended.

Dave was recommended to me by a very good friend… if only I had asked my friend for a referral in 2013… ughh! Well, that was then, but the ‘now’ is that Dave has been a great mover and beyond!
He encouraged me to ‘move’ my storage from Manhattan to a great place in LIC… and then he made it possible by helping me with big item donations… to a very worthy cause, and reducing the clutter! My bill was cut by 70%…Dave keeps a key to my storage and brings things into the City when I need them.
In addition, Dave did my recent move into a charming 5-​story walkup… unbelievable since I have a lot of big, heavy furniture! Then he brought his toolbox and worked much like a contractor would; he installed a floor to ceiling, «elfa closet system» from the Container Store… the width of my entire wall! He hung chandeliers and paintings and shelving for the bathroom… and more recently, my shades from The Shade Store!
Dave is truly amazing! I do not need to call a handyman in for anything. I know that Dave will do it, and do it better, with care and for a great price:)) Thanks so much Dave!

Moving can be a stressful and painful experience as we all know. Dave the Mover will ease these woes as much as possible. He moved me from Ditmars to Broadway in Astoria and I could not be happier with my experience.
He arrived on time with his crew and immediately got to work. They had all my stuff loaded onto the truck quickly and made sure to handle my belongings carefully. The unloading process went just as smoothly as well.
Dave and his crew were respectful, efficient, and an overall pleasure to work with. I will certainly be using them if I move again in the future.

We recently had the floors in our apartment redone. Since we were not moving out, we had to have our furniture moved from the living room and dining room into the bedrooms and vice versa. This was a 3 day job with day 1 moving the furniture into the bedrooms, day 2 moving the living room furniture back in place and shifting the bedroom furniture out into the living and dining room, and then on day 3 moving the furniture back into the bedrooms.
A colleague recommended Dave the mover. Dave was GREAT. He came on time with a helper and in an hour he had the furniture moved out of the living room into the bedrooms with care and precision. He had to come back the next two days to move furniture back and again came on time and did the job in an efficient manner. His rates were extremely reasonable and he was professional and courteous.
We reached out to traditional moving companies and they would have charge significantly more per day than Dave so we not only had the job done and done well, but we saved a ton of money.
We highly recommend Dave the mover for your next moving job.

Let’s face it: Moving sucks. That said, I can’t imagine ever moving again with anyone other than Dave Manstream of Dave The Mover.
The day before the move, two guys showed up to wrap and co-​ordinate all my boxes and furniture. They showed up exactly on time and they couldn’t have been nicer, more helpful, or more respectful. What’s more important, though, is they really knew what they were doing and moved with military precision.
On moving day, a team of 3 led by Dave, came on time, and had a friendly, great attitude all day. On the other end they helped me get furniture and boxes placed where I needed it. Pricing was extremely fair with no hidden extra’s.
Dave did a tremendous job with great integrity, that far exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t possibly recommend them more highly.

We have used Dave twice to move us from one apartment to another in the same building and to move a piece of heavy equipment to a friends place accross town. They were timely, fast and very pleasant to work with. They helped reassemble furniture and the moves were completed in a very professional manner. The price is a very reasonable hourly rate with no hidden fees. We highly recommend Dave and his company.

Mid-​size move needed to be finished on my day off without breaking the bank.
Previous movers had a difficult time getting my couch around the landing & through my front door back when they brought it into my apartment. Dave and his helper adjusted it methodically around until they were able to squeeze it out with no damage.
They wrapped up two pieces of art (not pricey but with sentimental value) and were careful with my electronics. Long story short he came in at the price he quoted and everything arrived in Williamsburg safe and on schedule the same afternoon.
Only bad thing was he didn’t accept credit cards which I didn’t know but should’ve asked I guess. Otherwise great from start to finish.

Dave was referred to me by a friend who had used him. She said that he was inexpensive and efficient, so I decided to give him a try. I called him and he answered right away and was very professional, patient and helpful. The request was complex as he would be moving both me and my friend on the same day, with 3 different locations. He saved the date for me while I determined the final details and answered all of my questions in detail each time I called. Moving day came and he and his assistant arrived as scheduled and the moving began. They were fast and friendly and even offered me a ride to the next location. My friend’s move also went smoothly and seamlessly. As my friend said after we were done, «that could have not gone any smoother than it did». We were both happy as everything went according to plan and it was exactly the price we were expecting based on the estimate of hours Dave had given us. Dave’s rates are reasonable and his team is efficient and friendly. I highly recommend him and will use him again in the near future.

Dave and Rich completed my move to an apartment next door in an hour and a half. This included disassembling and reassembling a complicated loft bed. They figured out how to move it in the least amount of parts. The loft is as sturdy as it was before. They arrived before the appointed hour.

I’ve been using Dave Manstream for over 10 years now and he has moved me several times. I’ve recommended him to countless friends. He is the most efficient mover I’ve ever known, and I’ve known more than a few. Although it may be hard to get in touch with him sometimes (which is the first indication that he is a popular mover) it’s well worth it. He WILL get back to you. Dave and his associates are myopically focused on the job once they start and do not monkey around wasting time with costly, time consuming chit chat. They speak little, and carry a LOT. He is one of the strongest guys I’ve every seen as well. I usually have a lot of heavy stuff to move and the last time I moved it was up 4 full flights of steps.
I can’t recommend him enough. I feel for the few reviewers who had a bad experience with Dave, but it’s to be expected that there will be the occasional bad times with any mover.

I’ve used Dave three times and recommended him to friends. He is miles above other companies in NYC area in terms of service and courtesy. Yes, sometimes he runs late. This is New York, and there is a lot of traffic. Yes sometimes I waited for 1Hour +! You may have to leave several messages before hearing back from him, I assume he runs a somewhat bare bones biz– but he always followed up with me and gets back to me to confirm everything a few days prior to the move. His flat rate hourly wage was totally reasonable and his employees were friendly and very fast. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. Other moving companies I called for quotes to move in NYC laughed at me and were ridiculously expensive. Cash only, and I gave them a good tip. It was a hot day and once we’d loaded the truck they were all about getting it done.

Dave and his guy were GREAT. They made a very stressful thing — moving in NYC — so much easier for me. Dave charged me exactly what he had told me beforehand. I recommend his service without reservation.
