Pezao has been something of a local fixture in Long Branch for several years now. Pezao — meaning«Big foot» — gives you a good way to sample Brazilian cuisine at a reasonable price. Pezao is buffet style, offering a selection of fruits, side dishes, and entrees on the buffet line, in addition to roasted, rodizio-style meats. While the waiters don’t come to your table with the skewers of meat, I like to think that walking the buffet line provides a smidge of exercise to keep your belly hungering for more. For $ 15, you get access to the full buffet and the rodizio — include a drink, and you’re looking at about $ 20 per person for all-you-can-eat. Like any buffet, Pezao suffers from things sitting out too long and being slightly dried out. However, the food does move and I did observe items being replaced on a regular basis. Aside from this complaint, the food is delicious and the variety is excellent. I sampled the black beans — tender and slightly spicy — and a pork loin stuffed with carrot and seasoned on the outside with salt, pepper, and rosemary. The rodizio meats were all delicious — well cooked, tender, and delicious — and I sampled the skirt steak, sirloin, chicken breast wrapped in bacon, sausage, and short rib. The service is good and the employees are all very kind. When I walked in with my fellow diners, we were a bit bemused; someone came over and politely explained our options(eat-in or take-out) along with the prices; the person manning the rodizio station was polite and helpful. The overall atmosphere was relaxed, a place where you go to relax, grab a hearty plate of good food, and indulge.

this Place is not bad but we have no privacy as you are eating people are talking loud. it’s impossible to be in peace. most people are brazilians and we don’t understand a word they say. but it’s ok just keep the conversation to yourself food is cold. they should turn up the heating equipment a little more buy the time you choose choose the food from buffet and sit down. the food is cold. found hair in food too. not going back
