Wa Wa Restaurant

The shrimp noodle soup was so good! The chowmein was yummy too. They deliver throughout downtown LB which is awesome. My go to Chinese place in Long Beach for sure.

Lunch is great here plus they deliver! Deliver does take from 45min to an hour so make sure you order ahead of time. The wonton soup is amazing. We also tried the kung pao chicken which was great. We tried Mongolian beef it wasn’t the best so we will not be ordering that anymore. Everything else was Delicious!

The absolute best Chinese food in long beach! Their food is always fresh, juicy, flavorful, and delicious my favorite is the shrimp fired rice! Honey it is to die for! I absolutely Love this place and recommend WA Wa ‘s to everyone! Believe me you will be happy you did.

The customer service here is awesome!!! Such nice people! The food is pretty good. I’m from the east coast where Chinese food is amazingly tasty so I’m picky! I had the orange chicken and combination fried rice. Not bad! I will definitely go again! If you’re looking for something quick and easy, this is the place!

Ho-​Hum — nothing spectacular at all.
The Teriyaki Chicken has a weird texture — I think they Boil the Chicken, then pour very sweet syrupy sauce over it. It is Candy-​Sweet. This isn’t what normal Teriyaki tastes like.
Vegetables look and taste old, the beef was tough.
Sub-​Par quality — would not go back unless I was very close by, starving to death, and it was close to a busy time of day for them so that I knew the food was somewhat fresh.
Not worth a trip out of your way.
There are Dozens of Chinese /​Asian Restaurants in Long Beach alone — pass on this one.

Straight up Chinese fast food. There’s no other way to describe it, so look elsewhere if you want P.F. Changs-​tier fine dining. This is not that place.
The food’s delicious and the staff is about the friendliest you can find in Long Beach. The homie serving food with the big ass muscles and tats always treats me right and hooks it up with orange chicken, BBQ pork, and chow mein until the box can’t close. While it isn’t the bombest food in the area, it manages to hit all the rights notes for an afternoon fill if you’re craving Chinese.
Even though it’s a little rundown, the staff manages to keep it nice and clean. The indoor tables are well-​kept and can fit up to four people. Meanwhile, the small outdoor tables can seat two. No matter where they sit, I don’t expect customers to come across any problems. This joint is also surrounded by a number of small businesses, so there’s a pretty nice vibe about it.
The food is enough to warrant a visit alone, but the staff is another reason all together. They make you feel welcomed and I think that’s why I’ve returned the few times I have.

I’m from Seattle where Chinese food rules. I’ve lived in LA county for 16 years and have been on the quest for good Chinese food for those 16 years. I’ve found my Seattle Chinese food in little olé Long Beach. I had the wor wonton soup and the beef and green beans. The soup was had perfect portions of pork, shrimp and wontons. The beef and green beans was the highlight. The beef was crispy to the bite with a tender chew with al dente green beans.
The service is also amazing. Very polite and thankful.

Second time ordering delivery from Wa Wa and happily they did not disappoint. This time I tried different dishes from what I previously ordered and was happy with all for the most part. Chicken eggrolls were crispy and fresh. Combination chow mein was probably the best chow mein I’ve ever had. Spicy Kung Pao Chicken was wonderfully spicy countered with sweet pineapple. Great flavor, however it was extremely oily. Wa Wa no need to cook with that much oil! Also tried the Hot & Sour soup, it was ok, I’ve had much better and I’ve certainly had much worse. I’m still a fan of Wa Wa!

I’m a regular at WaWa and today was my worst experience and I couldn’t be more offended.
It’s poring rain, and I gather a couple colleagues of mine to place a delivery order; knowing my order needed to be over $ 15 to get delivery.
I called and a lady answered and refused to take my order because her delivery person was out on a delivery. I said, that’s fine, «may I please put the order in and deliver it when your delivery person returns». She very shortly and in an irritated tone refused. I asked one more time and why she could not take the order and deliver soonest the delivery person returned, and she proceeded to hang up on me.
I go to WaWa minimally once a week for lunch. And never have I been so offended and treated so poorly by the staff. Normally the staff remembers me by name when I go in; and today I was disrespected and hung up on.
I’am only one person so I understand my business does not make or break their staying open for the future, but they just lost a customer for life. Never should hanging up on a customer be ok. Please correct me if I’m wrong… so disappointed.
I will, from now on, walk out of my way to Panda Express to get Chinese food, then ever go back to such a rude establishment.

One of my favorite lunch takeout/​delivery spots in Long Beach. I work in downtown LB and try to order from here once every two weeks or so. Their food has plenty of flavor, and their «spicy» dishes have a really nice spice to it. I would suggest the wonton soup, spicy kung pao, and orange chicken. All great choices for a quick and cheap meal.

Wish there were more places like this around! All around great, from their menu options, to their great service, to their reasonable prices, and most importantly their very fast delivery and FRESH food! All of the food was piping hot and fresh upon delivery as if we were eating in the restaurant! Very pleasant surprise and will order from here anytime we are in the area and want some good, fast, fresh food!!! Keep it up!!!

Five tables and a beat up interior usually means good food. Was greeted by staff who were friendly and they immediately took my order. After a 10 minute wait my beef with snow peas came out very hot and fresh. Vegetables were crisp and flavorful and sauce was perfect. Came with a bowl of rice. Delivered on my expectations.

I went here attracted by the positive revisions on Unilocal.The waiter was extremely kind and the food was well presented, however the place was not so cool. What disappointed me waa the food, too greasy for my taste and a little more expensive than other chinese spots. Also, noobles were overcooked. Probably I will give them other oportunities

A favorite location for the office for lunch. Combination chow mein and fried rice with orange chicken. Good stuff, good portion and the brothers are very helpful. Branched out and started trying the soups, big fan of the combination with egg noodle.

My coworker recommended this place to me and now I go here almost every week on my lunch break. OUTSTANDING customer service and FAST service. Amazing prices as well. They already know my order right when I step in. I definitely recommend the Combination #1 noodle soup (w/​rice noodles), the chicken curry, thai iced tea, and orange chicken w/​fried rice and chow mein. I’m sure everything else is delicious as well! The only Chinese restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in Long Beach :)

Wa wa why haven’t I heard of this place til now? I typically try to avoid Chinese food (at least the Americanized version) because of its greasiness, but on this day I had a hankering for orange chicken, and Wa Wa did not disappoint. They are better than Panda Express. The food was good, not overcooked or stale, they pack the styrofoam container with as much food as they can, and the prices are decent. The restaurant itself is small and could use an upgrade, but that didn’t stop numerous patrons from having their meal here. The workers are friendly and efficient too. One big plus: condiments easily accessible! They have sriracha, chili paste, soy sauce, and hoisin sauce readily available. Not the best Chinese food I’ve had, but a spot I’d support.

This place is a one minute walk down our alley, but we only tried it just recently because I was craving fast food Asian and didn’t want to walk more than one minute.
We ordered orange chicken (which my BF said was «great– on par with Panda Express» –_​_​_​_​_​_​_​-​), chow mein, fried rice, and the veggie tofu. They said that they needed to make the veggie tofu and orange chicken to order so it took a little bit longer.
It was what I expected from fast food Chinese, if not a little bit on the more expensive side. However they do have sriracha and spicy chili paste too!
Easy, filling, and quenches the cravings. But I was going for convenience. Therefore, if this place would be an inconvenience for you to get to then I would keep moving.

My mom found this place on Unilocal hoping to close off the Chinese New Year with our family, but she didn’t realize it was fast food style. The incredible service and surprisingly delicious food definitely turned our initial disappointment around! Wa Wa is reminiscent of Panda Express only less greasy.
It’s $ 7.99 for a selection of three entrees. I ordered the Chow Mein, Spicy Shanghai Chicken, and Orange Chicken. Normally I’m not a fan of chicken, but those two portions were excellent! The Chow Mein was lacking flavor, and the texture was kinda grainy. Not my favorite but nothing a little soy sauce or hoisin sauce won’t fix.
They also have a wide variety of smoothie flavors. My family tried both the taro and pineapple-​banana but I wasn’t a fan of either. The flavors are not very strong and tasted a bit watery instead.
A huge portion of the stars goes to the service, though. The gentleman who was helping us today (with his tattoos and gel styled hair) was VERY professional. Even my Asian dad kept talking about what a handsome and great guy he seemed like. Thanks for the great Wa Wa experience!
