We were referred to Alisha through a friend when they heard we were about to start planning. BEST. DECISION. EVER.
I knew nothing of the process. I didn’t know where to start, how to budget, or how to find the vendors that would be right for us. Alisha gracefully guided us through the whole process in under 4 months! With her extremely helpful timelines/​checklists, good communication, and her relaxed, yet confident personality, she kept the stress levels at an all time low. She had GREAT referrals for multiple vendors that we were totally satisfied with. Mostly, she really listened and got to know us, which is so important in planning such a personal event. We first hired her around June of 2015. At the time we were her first full time wedding, but it sure didn’t seem like it because she was on top of everything. She made our lives so easy. If it wasn’t for her I don’t know how we would have been able to do this on our own.
Not only did she help with the typical wedding stuff wedding planners typically do, but she did everything in her power to make sure we were as stress free as possible leading up to and during the wedding. Everyone in our court loved her. That means a lot because our mothers are real handfuls. On the day of the wedding she could tell our court was hungry and exhausted and personally went and picked up In n Out for them, who does that? I swear with that simple move they were re-​energized and ready to go.
She did such an amazing job and me and my husband love her so much that we recommend her to anyone that mentions they need a wedding planner or event coordinator.

The first time I met Alisha and found out she was a wedding planner, I wanted her. I always instinctively follow my intuition and yes, it was that plain and simple. Her personality, values, and outlook on what a wedding and union of two souls entail really resonated with me. It was really important for my husband and I to create an experience first and foremost– for ourselves. We put a lot of thought into what a wedding meant to us, how we could incorporate who we were, what was important to us, and to exemplify all that into a one day seven hour experience. We wanted to cram the past 3.5 years as a couple into a once in a lifetime event.
Alisha chimed in and gave us really good feedback and ideas. She knew and understood that the sentimental value of the wedding meant more to us then how glamorous it could be. She made sure every piece we wanted to incorporate into our wedding was set in stone and taken care of from start to finish. She was professional in the way she handled coordinating and organizing every little detail, even ones we didn’t even think of. She handled the day of coordination like it was a breeze.
I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who has worked an event with me that stayed focused, composed, and still took every chance available to ask how I or my husband were doing and if we needed anything. I almost felt like I had a personal secretary/​maid on hand! Most of all, I really felt her love and support during it all; she REALLY cared. Thank you Alisha, you were simply amazing!

I love Alisha! She was the cherry on top and did a wonderful job coordinating my wedding at the Richard Nixon Library! My husband and I signed contract with Alisha about four months before our wedding. We had not planned to get a day-​of-​coordinator until we really started to think about the wedding day tasks who was going to set up our signage, our place cards, make sure our reception setup was correct, that everything flowed smoothly and on time, we didn’t have a designated person to take charge of all of that and we didn’t want to put those responsibilities on any family members, bridal party, or guests we wanted them to enjoy our wedding not work in it. A friend referred us to Alisha and she emailed me the next day introducing herself. We set up a meeting the following week Alisha was there early waiting for us set up and ready. I was very impressed, because I knew she was still kind of new in the field, how organized and professional she was she had all the tools, apps, and templates necessary for coordinating. She gave us background info on herself and then asked us about our story and about much we had already accomplished on our wedding planning then explained to us her services. We didn’t really get to start working with her until six weeks before the wedding which is part of her day-​of-​coordinating contract. She attended and arrived early for our final walkthrough at our venue and met our venue and our catering consultants she asked a lot of questions and took a lot of notes which made me feel at ease because I knew she was really interested and getting it all down; we could depend on her. Alisha did so much work behind the scenes: reading over all of our contracts, coordinating our rehearsal, contacting all of our vendors, making all of the timelines for my groom and I, our bridal party, parents, siblings, and vendors. She kept me on my toes and I was really grateful for that especially after I had gotten back from my bachelorette weekend it was kind of hard to get back on track. She referred us to our photobooth vendor and we got a good deal because of that! The wunderlist app she introduced to me was so helpful too made it easy for us to share a to do list. We honestly would have had such a hectic rehearsal and wedding day without her. She helped us organize, label, and store everything we were going to use for the wedding at the venue the day of the rehearsal. The day of the wedding things didn’t go quite as planned in the beginning before arriving to the venue I arrived late but Alisha didn’t panic much less make us panic or worry. The cake arrived a bit late as well and my husband who was overlooking the reception set up with her noticed but she handled it very calmly stepped out of the room to call the bakery so he wouldn’t worry. Alisha was our go to person anything that arose that day she handled it from the smallest things like the volume of the music to unexpected guests. She was constantly checking on my husband and me to make sure we were happy and taken care of by our catering concierge with appetizers, food, and drinks. She really did a wonderful job throughout she really took care of us I can’t say that enough and I would very insistently recommend her to anyone that is in need of a wedding coordinator. Our wedding was more than we would have ever dreamed wouldn’t have came together like that without your help Thank you Alisha!

Alisha did a fabulous job organizing and coordinating my brother’s wedding. If any problems arose, she was quick to find a solution to them and clearly communicated the solution to all relevant parties. She frequently checked in with members of the wedding party and family members to ensure that everyone was emotionally stable. She was also a great liaison between the venue owner and the families when logistical issues about the venue came up. It was hard to believe that this was one of her first weddings-​her professionalism went far above what I expected from her.

Alisha was the day-​of coordinator for my brothers wedding, and I don’t think that any of us can possibly say enough great things about her. She had every last little detail down for everyone involved and even printed little schedules for all of the wedding party. Regarding seating, she knew exactly where everyone would be and what time, she knew what everyone would be wearing and helped us put our wedding bling on. She knew the answer to every question that anyone could possibly have and was absolutely the go-​to girl :) Even when our plans were running slightly behind, she kept her cool and guided everyone along. There is no way that the wedding and reception could have gone on without s hitch the way it did thanks to her. She is the total package! I would give her 10 stars if I could :)

I would recommend Torchwind Events to absolutely anybody. My wife (then-​fiancée) and I hired Alisha for our wedding. She was very chill and easy to work with, but at the same time she was extremely organized and detail-​oriented. She made sure that everybody from the ushers to the wedding party to the vendors knew exactly where they had to be and when they had to be there on the wedding day. When one of our vendors bailed at the last minute, she immediately called around and found a replacement.
More than that, she handled the «human» side of our wedding as well. She understood the vibe we were trying to create for our wedding, and she also helped keep us all on an even keel!

Alisha was the wedding coordinator for my sister’s wedding and she was INCREDIBLE. She surpassed all expectations, and blew us away! We could not have done it without her!!!
