What an amazing, perfect, unforgettable spot for our daughters wedding! Mary, Meagan and Cally (please god make that the spelling) were not only patient, kind, guiding, and just over all wonderful people, but they have the most amazing fresh ideas to make your wedding POP! Their referrals of photographers, florist, etc make them a one stop, walking, talking map to the hottest and most creative professionals in the industry. The best ever is that these professionals love love working at the loft for all its charm! Truthfully, cannot say enough wonderful things about the venue, the owners, the staff and overall professionalism and oh yes… all the amazing furniture comes with the event! In one word Spectacular choice if your LUCKY enough to be able to rent it for you wedding or event!

I cannot say enough great things about The Loft on Pine. The venue itself is so gorgeous you barely need to think about décor at all. It can accommodate a small party or a massive one. However, the best part, hands down, is the incredible staff. It felt like I was planning my wedding with old friends. They’re so jovial and helpful, and know exactly what they are doing. I literally had to do nothing but show up and get married. It was the best day ever.

We had our wedding here at the Loft on Pine last December and it was the best decision we’ve ever made. The entire place is just an absolute dream. All our guests were impressed. Even people who weren’t even at the wedding, saw photos of our wedding were asking about our venue. Even with minimal decoration, this place would still blow people away.

The Loft on Pine was the perfect place for us to get married. Here are my key reasons and differentiators that ended up making the most impact for us for picking this venue (things for any bride to think about — I didn’t even realize how important they were for us until after the wedding was over):
— We had the entire building/​event space to ourselves. We didn’t have to share with other parties — the entire space was only filled with the people we wanted there. This made it feel more intimate and as a bride made me feel special not having to be just another event happening.
— We had the option to use all of the existing furniture. I’ve looked around online before and considered renting wingback chairs and couches, but that adds up really quickly. The Loft allowed us to use all of their existing furniture, and let me tell you, it is antique, ornate, and plain gorgeous. It truly makes the space feel warm, friendly, and unique. Additionally — they’ve installed chandeliers, which are something I could never afford to rent on my own and they are just included with the venue. The space continues to transform as they update and add new pieces.
— We really had 4 event spaces in 1. All of our photos were taken on different levels of the Loft — the bridal suite, the main event space, the cocktail hour space downstairs, and the man cave in the basement. We didn’t need to make the hotel look great, or worry about where to take photos, because we had endless options throughout the entire building at the Loft. It provided diversity in the photos and allowed everyone to have comfortable spaces and areas to relax without running around to different places. Also, to reiterate — the bridal suite is GORGEOUS. It is the perfect backdrop for photos and just felt like a really special space. Also, the brick and industrial look was exactly what we were looking for. With the Loft backdrop in my head, it was easy to plan the rest.
Those key reasons made me see the huge value and special nature of The Loft on Pine. The space itself is gorgeous, and provides its own decoration alone. This is an investment worth making, and I would recommend it to any bride.
Not to mention, the staff is incredibly kind and we loved working with them. Mary and Calli were helpful and quick to answer questions, it’s just always nice to work with good people.

We are so pleased with this venue. 95% is almost impossible for a wedding, but this place nailed it. True nobody’s perfect, still the pics tell the story. You get what you pay for, and this place was worth it.

This review is based on my experience with Calli. I am assuming she’s a manager? So I saw the reviews on the Loft on Pine and wanted to take a tour of my upcoming wedding. I emailed for information and received it the next day. My first impression was not good because they had no website. This is never a good sign. I decided to ignore that and just go based on the PDF information of pictures and price listings of the venue that was sent. The listing of prices is based on which day you want to have your wedding. It is just a venue price. No packages, no vendor list pricing, etc. So I ignored that to. Finally the day came for my tour and Calli (didn’t know it was her… she didn’t introduce herself) opened the door… saying, «oh are you here for a tour?» I’m like, «yes»…she goes, «ok come in… I’m busy right now but I’ll have someone take you around.» So I’m not sure who it was that gave us a tour but she was very nice and very informative. Once the tour was over, we went to Calli’s desk. She opened her appointment book and was staring at me like I was supposed to know what to do. She goes, «so what day did you want?» I told her a day and it was available. So I said, «ok well do you have packages of pricing for food?» She said that I have to research the vendor’s she gave me in the PDF for pricing myself. She had only one vendor’s pricing printed and available to see. The rest of the vendors they force you to use were unavailable. HUH? Oh and parking was an extra $ 5 per spot because it’s owned by the city. Look, I don’t want to continue explaining her lack of any info but I want to end this review with this:
Calli, my family and I were really wanting this venue… but because of your lack of customer service, lack of information, lack of enthusiasm, and lack of professionalism… I had to scratch this from my list of potential venues. I hope other brides and grooms realize that all other venues have everything ready for you to see and compare. It was such a disappointing experience only because Calli made us all feel like we were working for her.

Pretty cool spot– the man cave was great– perfect for an unassuming wedding spot, which was what I was here for– a friend’s wedding.
The venue was a bit dark due to a relatively limited height of the venue floor. The first floor was perfect for cocktails/​hordourves.

My husband and I got married at The Loft on Pine, and it was BEAUTIFUL. [Beware, you have to use one of their preferred caterers/​bars, and they are pretty pricey. Would investigate before booking The Loft.] I think that the value and quality of the location were excellent (considering how gorgeous the place is and how much I probably saved in rentals by using their lovely furniture). The multiple levels makes for an awesome wedding environment! A floor for just the bride and her bridesmaids while they get ready, a floor that serves as both ceremony and reception area, and downstairs for the cocktail hour. My guests LOVED it.
However, the professionalism is seriously lacking. I would hesitate before recommending this venue to a friend because of the poor communication, slow response times, and rudeness that I, my family, and my vendors experienced when dealing with the staff at this location. On multiple occasions, I attempted to contact The Loft by email and phone. It would often take up to a week (or longer) to get a response — and usually after leaving multiple messages or emails… Talk about adding unnecessary stress to the wedding planning process. Mary, the Facility Director, gave me her cell phone number eventually. That did help as far as response times went, but she was usually in and out of meetings, and it made me hesitant to get ahold of her that way. It’s frustrating to me that the phone number and email address provided on wedding planning sites and elsewhere for this facility are not responded to in a timely manner. I understand that this place gets a lot of business, but when I viewed the venue for the first time, I met multiple other staff members. What happened to them after booking??? It seemed that Mary was the only person handling calls and emails and was unable to do so in an organized, timely manner. This place would be run much more efficiently if some tasks were delegated.
Also, when first visiting the venue, Mary and her staff were incredibly welcoming, warm, friendly, and accommodating. As soon as the contract was signed and the cash handed over, each visit and walk-​through was more uncomfortable than the last. My family, coordinator & I would make an appointments with the expectation that Mary or a staff member would be available during that time to answer questions in order to plan décor or timeline, etc. Instead, she would unlock the door then retreat to her office or rush off to work with a new potential client, ignoring us until it was time to rush us out the door because she had somewhere else to be.
At my rehearsal, (granted — we were late/​behind schedule) she was rude to my bridal party and family. While loading in décor for the wedding, instead of nicely asking them to enter through a different door, my friends and family were yelled at and chastised as though they were small children.
On my wedding day, Mary was kind to me and to my father, but — by report — was rude to just about everyone else. Also, I had paid for beautiful lighting in the cocktail area downstairs [which also happened to be the location of the only restrooms available to guests], and Mary turned off the electricity down there during the reception! Trying to save a buck? I can’t understand why that would be okay when I paid for the entire venue for the entire time block. Also, she was trying to pack up my décor in that area while the reception was still in progress and guests were still walking through to use the restrooms. Rude. I am so grateful that I was not informed of these things during my wedding, or she would have had one angry bride on her hands.
The place is gorgeous, and my wedding was amazing.
The staff was horrendous and needs some serious lessons in communication and professionalism.

Went to The Loft On Pine for a wedding and it was beautiful. I wish I had pictures… but I don’t have space on my phone anymore. lol
Anyway, the bar was downstairs at the lobby at first. That’s where everyone met and hang out until the ceremony. The ceremony was held upstairs. Then they had everyone go downstairs again as they transformed the ceremony hall to the reception hall. That’s probably the only part I didn’t like. that we had to go up, then down, then up. They also moved the bar from downstairs to upstairs, which was great! Parking was at a garage around the corner for $ 5. Keeping this place in my list of great venues.

I was married at loft last year. As soon as I walked in my vision began. As a florist I saw such great potential with the space. I had a vision of greenery everywhere, trees filling the halls garland linings the banisters, greenery showcasing the scarred brick walls downstairs. It was a big vision and I knew it would take a lot of time. Mary did graciously allow our florist to set up several hours prior to our contracted time, to ensure that everything looked stunning, as it did.
We had ordered nearly $ 2000 worth of lemon leaf and seeded eucalyptus garland. It lined every banister in the building, graced the center of our long banquet tables as well as hung above our heads at the ceremony. I worked with my florist Parisian Florals to create a beautiful Italian ruscus and fern wall hanging in the lower Loft. It was so exciting to see my vision come to life through the execution by Emma of Parisian Florals.
Fast forward 2 weeks from our wedding. We returned home and I was casually pursuing The Loft on Pine Geo Tag on Instagram. I immediately stumbled across a beautiful «s» wedding! It was amazing! Beautiful lemon leaf and seeded eucalyptus garland, with an overlay of smilax on all the banasters, long garland strewn around the hall… And a beautiful wall of… Italian Ruscus and ferns in the downstairs gallery. My heart began to sink a little. Everything was beautiful and so similar to our wedding… I mean the gallery downstairs was exactly the same. The long swooping garland of Italian ruscus that we put on the pipe, a heavy piece of itialian ruscus gently cascading down a joint in the brick. It was all there and it was all credited to another very talented florist. and friend of Mary the owner. A few days later my florist and I spoke as I thanked her for her amazing execution and I mentioned the similarities to the wedding that had followed a week later. It was then that she told me the owner of the Loft, Mary had instructed her to leave all the garland attached to the bannisters, the wall downstairs, the lighting rod over the ceremony. I had instructed my florist to ensure EVERYTHING was removed per our contract outline. However she said Mary and her staff, gathered together all the garland from the tables and gave her the specific instructions to leave the rest attached as she had some up and coming events. In an industry that prides itself in its ability to be unique, and creative I certainly thought outside the box in the design aspect of our big day. On the walk through with my florist I showed her exactly what I thought would look amazing and she loved it, and brought it to life perfectly. I find the coincidence of another wedding with many similar details, exact placement of florals in the same space, 6 days after our wedding at a space where the owner undeniably kept all of the garland used in our wedding for an up and coming event very interesting.
As a bride and a seasoned wedding vendor myself, I know the hard work it takes to not only be creative and one of a kind, but bring to life a brides dream. My experience with the Loft was not only as a bride but also a vendor/​florist. As a bride I experienced poor communication, and disorganization as stated in other reviews. As a vendor, I am left in question that proper credit was given for for the florals left behind from our wedding which does not have me running back.

My wife found the Loft and we quickly contacted Mary at the loft to schedule a walk through. She was prompt to set out first appointment. Having loosely known Mary prior, she graciously offered us a friend discount as well as graciously said we could come in and set up at an earlier time than the contract stated. We were sold. We read through the contract signed the dotted line. Our initial conversations with Mary focused on how our wedding was guest centric event. She loved it. We were promised «the loft will be your home away from home, and to come by and get as familiar as often as you want with the space» so that is exactly way we tried to do. During our first walk through, Mary suggested we use the lower lounge area as a «surprise element». Guests would park In the back lot, walk through the side alley to the front of the building entering at the stair case. Later we confirmed this flow to our coordinator, and Mary as well as provided them the printed out invitations to reflect these instructions. The N. Tribune Ct was an unmarked Street at the time and NOT easy for our guests to find. On our wedding day, the alley was blocked off as a kitchen, and our guests entered through the back door. Ultimately, not a big deal. What was a big deal and consistent through the entire process was the poor communication from Mary. The morning of the wedding I reminded Mary of our flow, conversation, and invitations and she blatantly told me she would never had said that. Poor communication started as soon as we passed over the check. We contacted Mary to schedule a walk through with some vendors And waited nearly 2 weeks for a response. We scheduled 3 walk throughs with different vendors and tried to consolidate as many into as single date and each time, it was the same poor communication and response time. Each time we grew more frustrated as we began to sense an attitude on her behalf. The day of our rehearsal, which we had confirmed in person and via email with Mary, all of our friends and family came arrived at the scheduled time. Mary was not there. We waited for 15 minutes and then I called her, to which she told me, ‘Your rehearsal is today? It’s in pencil in my planner, you never confirmed with me or else it would be in pen.’ No apology, just blame shifting. We are VERY ORGANIZED, and this significant detail would not and did not fall through the cracks. We rented the back parking lot, and Mary assured us it would be more than enough space to accommodate the cars for our 270 guests. Wrong.
The wedding day came, the guests arrived and ¹⁄₃ of the lot was full, from vendor vehicles. We would have gladly paid for additional offsite parking for vendors, ensuring our guests were able to park in the space provided but, again there was poor communication on behalf of the Loft. The guests had to find and pay for their own parking. I will give Mary credit, she moved her car, to make way for 1 of the guests. On the same token, this was after my brother witnessed her speaking condescending to our coordinator Sage Events, when Sage approached Mary about the parking issue. Lastly, as part of our contract we needed to remove everything from the Loft the night of our wedding. As our family, friends and Sage were cleaning up Mary and her staff, began collecting the green and floral garland that we had purchased. She instructed our florist to leave the garland attached to the stairwells, ceremony site, and the brick walls downstairs. Mary stated she was having up coming events and going to reuse it. Though the money had been spent, it seems strange she would use the florals from our wedding without our consent or proper credit to our florist for those said events. After our wedding someone, posted a candid review to Unilocal,detailing their experience at the Loft, and what they witnessed with Mary. Within days, I received a phone call from Mary, and her husband who introduced himself as a lawyer from blah blah law group in what felt like a veiled threat for legal action. They made me aware of the Review and went on about how the wedding industry is very PR sensitive demanded it be removed. No apology, No ask in regards to our experience. Mary also said if she wrote a response it would not look favorable on Sage Event, the coordination service we hired. (Last time I checked, that is what Unilocal is for, honest feedback. I can voice my experience with Sage was nothing short of efficient, organized, and seamless.) I sent out a text to my bridal party and within a few days the review was down. I cant say for certain that was ours. I promised Mary I would give her an honest review along with all of our vendors. Mary, I wish I could say our experience with you was better. Thanks to Jays and Sage our wedding day was amazing. The Loft is beautiful, however your lack of organization, poor communication, is something note worthy to anyone interested in booking at the Loft. I’m giving the building 2 stars. I hope things change for the better

This is definitely a beautiful venue that everyone loved but had some serious issues running up to and during the wedding that made it a not so pleasant experience for us. Be sure to read the contract and get all time windows needed for planning and setup in writing before signing.
1. They said that we could use any furniture in the building for the wedding, but all the nice antique furniture were kept in a room that we were not allowed to use.
2. They showed the bridal chamber where the bride is to change and get ready for her wedding, but later after the contract was signed, we were then informed that we were not allowed to have the bride actually get ready there. No make up and hair was able to be applied there for it could then damage the room, so she was only allowed to touch up her make up and hair once there.
3. Candles were not allowed to be used for the ceremony initially until lengthy discussions later.
4. Security guards that were each $ 250 were given to us so that they could watch the gift box that guests put cash in as gifts, but they were off to the side on their cell phones the vast majority of the time.
5. They made the wedding coordinator sweep the floor where rose petals were thrown as the ceremony was still in place. Guests of the wedding had to help to complete the task quick enough to continue on with the wedding.
6. We were constantly being told different time frames on when we would be able to set up for the wedding. This would in turn effect the wedding planning on our end.
7. There is a chair set up and breakdown fee that is not specified in the contract, not a big deal but when paying for a wedding everything adds up.
When it was all said and done all the guests who were unaware of what went on and into putting this together loved it but these issues are not something you want to deal with when planning a wedding of 150+ people.

We attended a beautiful wedding reception at this venue. The interior is fantastic, just the right amount of modern and rustic. The original wood flooring, classic brick, and exposed rafters sets the tone for a unique formal event. It’s really cool that it has multiple levels so cocktail hour and the meal can have their own designated areas too. The upstairs loft can host a large group effortlessly and is beautifully decorated, but minimal enough to allow the hosts to really make the space their own for the event.
The staff was excellent. You always know you’re working with a well managed place when everyone’s needs are more than catered to, but the staff never got in the way. They were friendly and patient. I even asked the bar tender if he could make me a particular cocktail that wasn’t on the menu and without hesitation, he happily looked it up and made it for me. That’s unheard of at a wedding bar.
The food was delicious! Feeding 250+ people in a timely, organized fashion is certainly a task I wouldn’t want to be in charge of, but they had it down to a science. They even made a fresh gluten free meal for my wife and a staff member brought it to her personally. She was delighted and amazed, as anyone who has a diet limitation knows, you usually have to fend for yourself at weddings which means «I’ll just have the salad».
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate with our friends and family here. I highly recommend it!

We had our 180 guest wedding reception a week ago at the Loft and it far exceeded our already «lofty» expectations. Everything went perfectly and our guests were completely floored by this amazing space and ambiance. The Loft staff and our Pop The Champagne day-​of coordinators did a wonderful job with set up of the cocktail hour held downstairs and the dinner and dancing upstairs. Mary, the owner, made herself readily available to address questions and concerns, and provided her input and assistance during the planning stages and our day of. We are grateful for the absolutely gorgeous venue and would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning their big event. Four thumbs up!

We almost booked our venue here but thank god we decided to pass.
I brought my mother here for a second opinion and thank go we did. She pointed out some very important things, like they cook your food in the alley yes the alley. Nothing covering and all guests could see food is being cooked when they arrive unless they arrived in the front entrance. If a bird pooped from the sky It would land in your dish. Also, the tables are decorated before you walk down the aisle so the tables are all shoved against a wall and guests can see that. I believe they pull a curtain up but still for the price that’s not enough for us.
Mary the owner was actually very nice and said our wedding can go as late as 2am so we we’re surprised when we heard that. I just think for the money they are asking it’s just not worth it. And it’s in the middle of the ghetto pretty much. When I arrived a bum started asking me for money within the first 2 minutes…

This historic building is an incredible and a rad place to have an event unlike any other space in Long Beach. I have been a guest and worked at multiple weddings and a charity event here and can’t say enough good things about my experience. The original décor, flow and vibe made for an unforgettable night. It can transform in so many ways throughout the three floors. The manager and staff are completely professional, helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes and with guests. The space is so unique and of course has guidelines, many implemented by the city, just like any other venue. If the other reviewers that took a negative stance didn’t like they have to follow the rules they took it the wrong way that’s unfortunate. Also five hours to enter a venue prior to an event is way more time than the standard two hours in the wedding industry so these people complaining really don’t know what they are talking about about. This building is a gem and that’s why it’s such a popular place to get married!

The Loft is an interesting space but it would not surprise if they close in a year due to: venue limitations, presentation, staff. Attended a wedding their recently and the manager was not at her best. She yelled at a minister in front of two dozen guests based on a minor itinerary misstep on her part. It was an uncomfortable situation that should have been avoided. There are no restrooms on the main hall second floor and depending on how the space is masked off (on the entrance floor) it leaves no restroom available for arriving guests until later at the event. The modern white furniture used in the lower bar area appears soiled. The main hall’s feature wall is illuminated with fluorescent lighting and looks underwelming in my opinion. Based on the above, I would not recommend this venue.
As a post note, the manager emailed me about this review and explained the flow problems to the restrooms happened due to the space restrictions requested by the bride and groom but denied her behavior to the minister. Although her correspondence was written in an apology it also came off as a veiled threat for public action. I feel this review honors exactly what was witnessed and is truthful. It is also the opinion of one person and follows the guidelines of Unilocal to the best of my ability. As always, I will leave it to Unilocalers to read all the reviews regarding any venue and draw their own conclusions.

Beautiful venue but has some major flaws.
First flaw– the manager Mary was nice when showing the venue but once the first check was cut she became rude and impatient during each encounter or conversation.
The day of the wedding Mary was rude to three of our vendors, who happened to all be professionals and family friends. Tried to alter the timeline and openly voiced her dislike in several choices of having a cocktail hr.
My opinion would be to hire a venue manager that appreciates their job and could double as an event or wedding planner to help the parties renting the venue.

Gorgeous gorgeous space!!! Previously a Masonic temple and then a Z gallerie, and it shows. Architectural details inside are gorgeous! High vaulted ceiling, sun lights, paintings, gorgeous scrollwork. (Sorry architects if I just destroyed that description.) 3 floors, top floor is a large bridal suite. Very pretty!
It is a bit pricey especially considering you only get the space and have to work out rentals, catering, and dumpsters. If you use your own caterer, you have to pay a $ 1500 kitchen buyout, although they don’t have their own kitchen per se here. Another con is that they run tours until 2 hours prior to start time and you’re only allowed there 5 hours prior to start time. One last con is that there is major micro-​management from the owners. They also take a ton out of your deposit for normal wedding messes, such as spilled wine or sticky floors. I understand that the floors are refinished etc but one needs to consider that the bride and groom cannot control their guests… But if you’re looking for a unique rustic meets industrial space, come check it out!
