So tasty!!! Great location, and the ingredients are great and delicious. I recommend the asada tacos! The quesadilla are bomb, too!

Clearly superior Jalisco style Mexican which, sadly, I discovered days before moving 50 miles away. If that were not the case I would be eating there every other day. The owner/operator is super friendly and helpful, patiently explaining everything to those of us who are unfamiliar with this less common style of Mexican cooking. This place is clean and slick, the food is amazing, and the prices are low. Now I need a flimsy excuse to drive back down there. Hmm… it’s Thursday isn’t it?

I came because of the good Unilocal reviews but was very disappointed. Maybe just not used to these flavors. The employees who were maybe owners were very nice. So they deserve a compliment. Got a Barbacoa quesadilla and thought the meat tasted weird and the cheese was like gum. It was also a bad deal. It was slightly larger than a taco with very cheap portions of meat. The sign said $ 3.49 but I was charged $ 3.75 so it cost a little over $ 4.00 and was very small for a quesadilla. I got a birria taco that was also a bad value it only had meat and not very much of it. I tried 3 salsas and didn’t like any. I hate to give poor reviews to nice people but I can’t give a better review. Just not my flavor but also think prices are very high for portion size

This is probably one of the best tacos in the area, recipes might seem different but all the meats are fresh and is cooked the same day and is not soggy, tacos dorados de barbacoa are my favorite, tripas are cooked the right way therefore delicious, the place is very clean and the service very friendly, the place is hard to spot but is like a treasure. If you want real tacos this is the place to go or stay hungry my friends.

I really enjoyed this spot. The owner is super nice and guided me through some of his favorites when it comes to tacos. I had 4 tacos total and am stuffed. 3 is perfect for next time. Tacos Planchados(hard shell) — birria and barbacoa.(I enjoyed barbacoa the most) Tacos Blanditos(soft tacos w/two corn tortillas) — carne asada and al pastor.(I loved the al pastor) All in all I loved the soft tacos the best. The tortillas were amazing and tasted hand made(I asked and they were not made in house). The taco prices were very low and on Tuesday it’s on $ 1 tacos! This is one of the best place for tacos I’ve ever been to in Long Beach. Thanks for the love Miguel and the cook!

Want to try authentic mexican street food? Try this place. The owners have restaurant experience in Mexico and ventured to the states to open their first TepeTaco. The food is deliciously prepared. Their menu is small, but thats common in Mexico. MUSTTRY ! WONTBEDISAPPOINTED !

The owner and the workers are some of the most welcoming people around, hands down! They take their time explaining the dishes which aren’t familiar to some and even include consumé with every order, on the house. Their tacos are some of the best tacos I’ve had and I disagree with those that said they are stingy with the meat. No they aren’t. They put just the right amount. If you wanted a lot of meat you should have gotten a steak, not a taco. The little condiment stand they have is perfect, even includes bits of pineapple that I never thought would be good with some Carne asada tacos and now that is the one thing I always get, a lot with their onions. Even if you aren’t hungry you’d want to stop by and say hello to Miguel because he sure knows how to treat people like family. Heck yes I recommend this place!

Can I have my money back? ? I got 2 carne Asada tacos and 2 barbacoa tacos. Carne asada tacos: stingy on the meat and heavy on the garlic seasoning. Barbacoa tacos: never in my life have I seen barbaco a that wasn’t red, could this be a regional thing, perhaps. The taste was… Well let’s say that after tasting the barbacoa, I pushed my tacos onto my husbands plate. The plus was that it was clean and the male employee who greeted us. Going off what other Unilocalers said, it’s safe to assume he’s Miguel, the owner. I would not come back or recommend this spot.

Oh wow, what a little gem this place is! The owners are super friendly and accommodating. We ask a lot of questions and they were happy to answer all of them. Since a lot of reviews raved about the barbacoa, I had one of those, plus 2 carne asada. The carne asada meat was not terribly flavorful, but the goodies at the salsa bar took care of that. There’s this stuff — I can’t recall what they said it is called — that is roasted chilies in oil, and it is amazing on the tacos. You only need a little. Then a few drops of red salsa, some green, and I was good to go. Oh, the only bummer is they don’t have cilantro(there was a little mixed with chopped onion, but that doesn’t cut it for me). I like lots and lots of cilantro on my tacos! Will definitely be back. My whole family loved it.

We must tell you that this is a great place to come and chow down! If you live in Wrigley just walk over otherwise drive. The owners and their staff are super friendly and bend over backwards to please the clients. They have great salsas to add to their already delicious tacos. We went there on the weekend and had some of their delicious pozole. Taco Tuesday is great is super frugal with their $ 1 tacos. You will be so full and satisfied without breaking the bank. Great place to go and have a fantastic meal!!! We hope to see you there!!!

I ate here today with my family and it was great! First it was clean. The tacos were so good and their toppings were different that were so tasty! Customer service is great too with welcoming service. They will be sure to see me again because it’s not overpriced either. Thank you for a great taco Tuesday:)

One of the many taco places close by the house. Figured I’d give them a try… I went in to try some tacos… the location was nice, clean and updated. But just kind of small. I ordered 3 of the small tacos, one carne asada, one chicken and one chorizo. And also a carne asada quesadilla. First of all the quesadilla was kind of weird. It was 2 regular sized corn tortillas with cheese and carne asada in between them. It was small and it didn’t taste right with the corn tortilla I prefer the traditional flour tortilla quesadilla. And on to the tacos. they were $ 1.35 each. and $ 1 on Tuesday. They were a good size. The main problem I had was the meat was not that flavorful on the tacos to be honest. They were just ok. I will be back if I’m craving tacos and don’t feel like driving. But I’d say the place is average. Also don’t like that the charge almost 60 cents to use your debt card

What a great find in long beach. The tacos are different here. They have the tacos planchados and volcan that are unique especially with the barbacoa meat. The green salsa with red onions are a good mix on top of the volcan. They also have a different pineapple salsa that gives any of the salsa a sweet and salty flavor. Parking is offstreet but i didnt have a problem the couple times Ive been here. The place is minutes off the 710 fwy and worth the stop.

After being recommended by my barber at Pacific Ave. Barbershop, I ordered 2 of the Tacos Dorados. They only offer barbecue beef and no sides like rice, beans, ect. You get a double tortilla that is fried, meat added and then folded over. Portion of meat is very generous. You add your own condiments such as onions, cilantro, several types of salsa and an avocado sauce. They also have radishes, lemon slices, sliced jalapenos to garnish your taco. Sodas are bottles and cans including Mexican Coke and other Mexican sodas. 18 places to sit inside and one table for two on a shaded front patio. Tacos are $ 1.79ea, Quesadillas $ 2.49, Tortas $ 5.99, Volcan $ 2.39. The biggest negative point is no rice or beans. Very clean and all new interior.

My husband and I live in Downtown LB and have been wanting something like this for a while. Family owned, small, and delicious! My family is from Jalisco and the taste of the barbacoa is as authentic as it gets. The quesadillas and consome are also delicious. I have no doubt we will be regulars here. Two thumbs up!
