called to ask about fixing a turntable. told me they call back in a few minutes. never called back… horrible customer service. glad i didnt give them any business.

JD was awesome! I cracked my phone this morning and the screen got really fuzzy and not operable. By 5pm he had a new screen and 10 min later my phone was working! Great customer service and will recommend to all my friends.

My laptop would often run hot with the fan going non-​stop while I watched YouTube. Then, I had spilled wine on my laptop and that was the last straw. I wanted an expert to clean it up and look it over to see if it could be salvaged, and see if the heating problem could be addressed.
Techfix was a good choice. He kept me posted on each step of the process and had my laptop ready in a timely fashion. My laptop now runs better than it did before the wine spill! A well deserved 5 stars to Techfix!

I’ve come here for three different services: slow HP laptop, broken desktop, and cracked phone screen.
1. Slow laptop: He fixed it but then a few weeks later it went back to being slow, so I’ll have to bring it back in for that.
2. Broken desktop: He fixed it.
3. Cracked phone screen: I brought my HTC OneX to replace the cracked screen. Unfortunately, in the process George ended up breaking the phone. But, he was honest upfront and as an apology replaced my phone with a Galaxy S5. He gave me a loaner phone to use while he hunted for an S5. The incident was obviously a huge inconvenience (i.e. losing all my contacts, memos, appointment dates) but because he was honest, took responsibility, and made up for it, I’m happy. I’m fine with people/​businesses making mistakes as long as they own up to it.
Summary: George is honest and if he messes up he’ll make it up to you. The rates seem fair (I haven’t really compared prices with other places) and the work is good so I’ll be back.
Note:
–The store is really small (about the size of a bedroom) with a tiny sign so you’ll probably miss it the first time; drive slow.
–There’s only street parking (and barely any) so you might end up having to park about a block down at a local store.
–The store is in a ghetto area so just a heads up.

My girlfriend and I are in from Colorado for the weekend and my girlfriends galaxy s4 had the LCD replaced before we left. The day we got to long beach it stopped working so I found this place to see if it could be easily fixed. George helped us out immensely and was very friendly. He went over a couple of different issues that it could be and eventually found the hardwire issue that was the problem. He was quick and reasonable

This guy is awesome. I needed a new hard drive and he researched different ones that fit my custom Dell and found the best price. Labor charge was very reasonable and he even tried for 3 days to pull the info off my old hard drive. He fixes phones and gaming systems too… don’t be deterred by the outward appearance… he’s a rockstar.

Dont let the modest store front to this business confuse you, the service inside is fantastic! You can tell George is an extremely knowledgeable guy. He is very considerate and communicative and did a great job repairing my macbook for a great price. As I type away on my now functional computer, thank you!

My computer refused to start after I removed a sound card; a big deal since I use it daily for audio production work. The nearest repair shop was a tiny little place called TechFix. Despite an unspectacular location I decided to give TechFix a try. Man, am I glad I did.
The proprietor, George, investigated the issue, pulling a battery to address a potential bios issue and bam, the computer started right up. The problem was solved in less than 5 minutes.
To George it was a simple fix (in fact he absolutely refused any payment) but there is no way I’d have figured it out myself. George’s knowledge and friendly attitude have secured me as a future customer.

Good service, nice staff, great repair. Shattered HTC glass screen on my cell phone and they fixed it perfectly. Repair was inexpensive and they were able to repair it in a few hours. Definitely recommend them.
