Styles For Less

I love Styles For Less. Nice Quality and good prices. I lived in San Pedro for thirteen years and the store there is great. I moved to Long Beach two years ago and was happy that they have a Styles for Less ten minutes from me. It’s a nice friendly store with lots of choices. It’s not as big as the San Pedro Store but I have found just what I was looking for in my size almost every time. I think the quality and cute styles are much better than most small dress shops.

Love this store! So many cute outfits at such affordable prices. Went in on my way to staples and found 5 outfits in about 15min. I was in a bit of a rush but I am definitely coming back for more. I got my discount card and Anna was so helpful with putting outfits together and getting me my VIP! Definitely recommending this store to my friends.

Love this chain, especially because I can usually find good prices on workout clothes that don’t need to be of top notch quality, however, I really do think they have stepped up their clothing line and do have some really cute work clothes, too.
I’ve been shopping at this chain for about 5 years now and usually go to the Huntington Beach or Costa Mesa store… and their 30 day CREDIT ONLY refund policy has worked for me. I usually go to the CM store because it’s next to the gym I frequent, and if I was early, I’d always swing in there for a quick look, but never had time to try on, so I’d return whatever didn’t work for me the following week, and shop again.
I recently spent $ 568 at the HB store, which, because of the CREDIT ONLY store policy will eventually ENTIRELY belong to Styles for Less. I called ahead to make sure that I could return some items to the LB store because it’s closer to my work and I could do it on my lunch hour. Anna, the clerk, said it was fine and it didn’t matter where you returned the items.
So, rushing, I went during my lunch hour and returned AND PURCHASED some items again… of course, no time once again to try anything on and I prefer trying on at home, in my leisure anyways.
Returned for a second time today to the LB store, and I brought two friends with me (potential customers, of course)… and Anna tells me that her manager told her to tell me that there is a limit on returns «because it makes them look bad». WTH? So, she tells me that I should try on my stuff at the store. Listen to me… «I DON’T HAVE TIME!!!»
Originally purchased $ 568 (in HB), returned ~$ 200 (to LB), then bought ~$ 100 (in LB), so if you do the math… THIS STORE has a credit of a mere ~$ 100… and, now to go with that… ANOTHER BAD Unilocal RATING.
I understand that Anna was just the messenger, but I asked her to tell her manager, Stephanie, that she needs to understand that I’m not here to make her look good or bad and I could care less about it, but since I’m the customer and there is a 30 day return policy «at any store» that I could really care less about HOW SHE LOOKS.
This has totally put a sour taste in my mouth for this whole chain, but when I sit back and think about it, I shouldn’t frown on the other locations who have been more than pleasant every time I do a return.
Bottom line, you (Styles for Less) got $ 568 from me and it’s yours to keep no matter which store I shop at and which store I return to, so I hope you’re reading this!
If Stephanie has this attitude, it’s no wonder why this LB store has the lowest Unilocal rating. I guess I should have checked the reviews before I went, but NP… I won’t be back here, to this location, cuz customer service on the top of my list!

Great store for cheap, cute apparel. Today I popped in, simply cause I was waiting
On my order to be ready at valentinos. I had been in the store 6 months prior and never thought I’d step back in, due to the poor customer service I had received in early July. I must say, I’m sure glad I went in. $ 35 bought me a pair of jeans, 3 shirts, a dress that is rockin, 3 eyeliners and a pair of falsies (eyelashes). I scored on the markdowns! I gotta say the store has completely turned around. The manager rang 1me up and was an absolute pleasure, she seems to have really turned it around there. I flippin love this store now! I feel horrible I can’t remember her name I want to say Michelle. Either way, the manager deserves a big fat pat on the back for what she has done. I will definitely be a regular now.

The only thing I can say good about this store is it is a quick purchase for cheap under shirts… thus the one star. But here is the reality… This location and staff has gone so down hill it is embarrassing. The women who work here are trash. As I woman I don’t say that ever but as a woman in costumer service I will say it again…“trash”. The funny thing, is it is not that hard to smile and be polite. That is in the contract when you hire people. Your staff is choosing not to do that and rather move through the motions. Do you know how many people need a job who would do just that? Hardworking, respectful and deserving people. I have noticed the slip at this location over time especially when it comes to costumer service but this last experience topped the cake. Most of the employees in my past visits will not/​choose not to make eye contact with their costumers nor help them. Instead they roll their eyes, ignore Or murmur «give me a second» or «next». With this last visit I had the rudest women ring me up; Cyana. I was holding back my laughter because it was clear she doesn’t care one bit for her job. Her personality and professionalism was rude and disrespectful. As a customer, and a human-​being in general, I like to smile and say hello. Cyana went out of her way to look angry, annoyed and murmur the price of my purchase. What is wrong with the management and business owners who are letting this store disintegrate? Who hires people like this and doesn’t follow up to make sure they are doing their job? I guarantee this store will shut down and it has nothing to do with the quality of their merchandise. Fix it now… and for anyone who reads this I encourage you to drive to another store for your shopping desires or at least a different location. And for your owners, take a look at your staff. After reading other reviews on this same PCH location I am not the only one to say something bad about your staff. Start over and clean out house.

I apologize in advance for the long story, here is a summary if you are not interested in reading the story: JESSICA who is the MANAGER at this store is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, and she knows nothing about costumer service and respect!!! I came here to apply for a job and I did everything in my power to show integrity and leadership. I went online and did the assessment and after completion forge assessment, I printed out the application, filled it out and came into the store to submit it. When I came into the store, I spoke with the manager (Jessica) and I formally introduced myself and handed her the application followed by my resume and and cover letter attached. Jessica told me to come for the following week for an interview. On the day of my interview, I showed up fifteen minute early and she was not there, I waited thirty minutes after the scheduled interview time when she finally came in from her lunch, and when I informed her of our interview, her response was, «oh…that was today»? No apology what so ever; she then tells me that she will be unable to do the interview until I have passed the assessment which she failed to mention when I first met her. She said that she would call me that evening to schedule another interview, well, she didn’t call me however I took the initiative to call her and she scheduled another interview with me. On the day of my second scheduled interview, again, she was not there, she called out and did not have the courtesy to call me to reschedule. Another manager by the name of Anna did the interview which took about two hours because the store was so busy so I did a lot of waiting as she got up and left several times. At this point, I was no longer interested in the position. Any who, Jessica called me the following week on a Monday and asked me to come in to fill out the paper work for a background check, when I went there to the store, I had to wait an hour because she didn’t have the paper work and she was trying to find a store that did so it could be faxed over… when the paper work did come through, I filled it out and then asked her how long it would take for the results to come back, Jessica informed me no longer than a week. On Friday of that week, she called me and asked me to come in because apparently I missed a question on my application. When I came in, I answered the question and then asked her about the background check because it was already four days, she told me that she hasn’t turned it because my application wasn’t completed. At this point I became infuriated by Jessica’s unprofessional attitude that I decided to call corporate. And to my surprise corporate is just as unprofessional as Jessica, I spoke with a woman name Maggie and told her the situation and she told me that she was going to spiral with someone and have them give me a call, I have yet to receive a call and she pretty much avoided me and never returned my calls.

Why would a business promote «spend x amount of money and receive a certificate for $ 20 off» if they are closed for the period if time the coupon is good for? The sales clerk never told me about the close for remodel and the coupon expires today. Would’ve been nice to know… I don’t know the sales clerk’s name, but she is absolutely terrible with customer service. Probably the worst. I have very low expectations at styles, but this is beyond bad. The last 2 times I’ve been there, she’s working. Ugh. I work retail, so I’m not just someone complaining…

It is a Styles for Less… so let’s be real it isn’t going to be anything fancy and or spectacular. They have a large of selection of women’s clothing for a reasonable price. I don’t come here for pants, because I prefer a better quality that will last a while and fit the way I need them to but they do have cute cheap jeans, but they aren’t for me. Lots of tops/​sweaters/​leggings is what I go for, and they have plenty to chose from, occasionally I can’t find anything that I like but I’ve been to other stores and had the same problem.
I like the staff here & for the most part they all do a great job, sometimes they only have one person working so wait times for checking out and or getting a fitting room can take some time. Also return policy is EXCHANGE ONLY, NO REFUNDS but this is typical of the bargain clothes stores.
So yes the name says it all… Cheap Clothes/​Cheap Prices, don’t expect high quality materials or items that will last forever… You are not paying for that (But I do have several items that have lasted years).

Hmm where do i begin?
Okay this store could be an investment or a huge mistake so when you shop here follow some guild lines
1. Try on everything, make sure the garment is a thick material (i bought 5 knitt dresses 2 years ago (only cost me 5 dollars per dress) and i still have them!
2. if you choose to buy a cheap flimsy material make sure its 2 sizes bigger (difficult being that the sizes are very limited)
3. If your in the Town Center and you so happened to need a cheap outfit for something to to G stage for your main clothing piece
They have a buy one get one half off sale for the jewelry. take advantage of that.
4. DO NOT BULK SHOP/​SCHOOL SHOP/​WORK SHOP HERE!
Even though this is a cute quick fix trendy store i promise you the clothes will go out of style and some pieces (more like a lot of it) wont hold up forever and in the long run you’ll just lose money so again a outfit or two is fine but not everything all the time
5. Keep your receipt! If it falls apart right away take it back!
Follow this and im sure you’ll be satisfied again this isnt prada people, so dont expect a whole bunch basically its like a wanna be small forever 21

ok first off this place has awesome customer service, when you first walk in they greet you, they always keep up with the latest trends, they always have a clearance rack if your shopping on a budget, they have sales like buy one get on half off, i love this store!

Speed shopping.
No, this is not a new sport like speed eating, or shopping while on a schedule 1 substance.
This is what happens when you have a date in a few hours and you need to find something that looks like it might have been in your closet and nice but not desperately new looking.
Styles for Less is NOT the place to go when you are speed shopping. This is another place that locks up the flimsy curtain that covers the booth so that you need the clerk with the key to unlock the curtain so you can try on only 6 items at a time.
If you can find the clerk with the key.
And then the gauntlet of everything you picked that’s size medium all made from different guidelines of what medium means. As one shirt might have your arm trapped against your head and another is a shirt that goes past your waist, your hips, and down to your thighs.
I confess: covering eyes: I bought a tank top with pretty sparkly dots on it. I spent $ 5. I briefly had that throat malady where you sigh because the girl at the register doesn’t know where the key is, and then doesn’t know where the girl who could have the key is, and you have to wait :;toe tapping: while the key doesn’t fit right and you are getting a cramp in your «Eyebrow of Spock» face-​inating. And then I had that same throat malady when I went to pay and the clerk at the register wasn’t there to ring customers up and had to call the other girl, from across the store, to come over and take my money so I could leave.
Hence I was parched and susceptible to a picture of green tea boba. But that is a story for another time. Oh, you have time? Well, it’s a few reviews over to the left… ya, right there baby, that’s the spot.

Upon entering this store I noticed a funky smell. Might be their a/​c might be lack of being their door was wide open.
Usually Styles are up on the lastest trends but today it seems like they were stuck a season back.
Made my usually rounds in a clothing store hoping something will pop out at me. No such luck!
Staff was involved with talking to eachother and didn’t seem to notice the customers who were in their shop.

I don’t usually shop here but had to pick up an outfit for a dance performance. I was looking for a black sequin skirt and matching top but only found the black skirt in my size (no matching tops were availble because the sales associate indicated they didn’t even get the matching top delivered). The store is fairly clean and the associates were friendly but the selections are few and fair between. I definitely could find better options at stores such as Forever21 or Love Culture. I’ll come back for costume/​dance outfits, but not for personal shopping.

You can find some decent cheap clothes in here if you really wanted to. I’d rather go to Forever 21 though. The part that keeps it from being a 4 is that I had to stand at the register for quite awhile before I got any help b/​c the employees were chatting away in the back about how some girl was a slut. I dropped the merchandise and left. Also they don’t do refunds only store credit.

I love this place! Very cheap and great clothes! I can spend hours in this place checking out the HUGE selection of clothes! What is great about this place is that the walls are seperated by different colors and styles so that if you are looking for something in particular, you can go right to it!
