Rory J Friedman DPM

This guy! Had my first appointment today and was finally given some real answers to my toe issues. He’s about solutions, not band aids. The staff if so accommodating and kind. I have never felt so comfortable in a doctor’s office.

Dr Friedman is by far the best podiatrist I have ever been to. He is passionate about his profession and educates you about your foot issues while he working on your feet and shoes to solve your problems. He gives you educational handouts to reinforce what he has taught.
His staff is super friendly and the place is super clean. He is truly the best.

For years, under the care of three other podiatrists, I was misdiagnosed with, and treated for, toenail fungus. The second Dr. Friedman saw my foot, he knew better. Years of fungus treatments for naught. Turned out to be secondary to damage I’d done by rarely wearing shoes.
Dr. Friedman is a wonderful healer, clinician, diagnostician and podiatrist. He and his staff are at once congenial and professional. He communicates well, and inspires confidence.

Dr Friedman is one of the great ‘real’ doctors out there. He doesn’t try to over talk you, he tells you straight what needs to be done, and then puts you at ease telling you that he can do his procedures quite painlessly. Now, I’ve Had an ingrown toenail removed before, and that experience Traumatized me. DR FRIEDMAN assured me that This experience would be way different, and he was 100% truthful with me on that. My procedure was pretty painless, even the nerve blocks! Thank God for his medication delivery gadgets, I didn’t even feel the poke for the local anesthesia needles! Thank you Dr Friedman for UN traumatizing me!!! He’s the Best at what he does! With a great sense of humor to boot!

After suffering with ingrown toenails and a podiatrist in Los Angeles that kept me coming back for visits without ever doing anything, a friend recommended Dr. Friedman.
But he’s in Long Beach!!! That’s at least a 45 minute drive! (without traffic)
My friend told me I would not be disappointed.
Well let me tell you!
After calling Dr. Friedman’s office, telling his staff my problem and setting up an appointment both of my big toes were treated on my very first visit! Besides being a great doctor, Dr. Friedman is an easy to talk to, very approachable doctor. (He also made sure the procedure was as pain free as possible. It really didn’t hurt!) Dr. Rory Friedman doesn’t talk over your head (or feet) and I walked (slowly) out of his office without my ingrown toenails and chocolate suckers!
Yep, his great and friendly office staff gave me two chocolate foot shaped suckers! Obviously one for each of my big toes!
What more could I ask for? (Well he could move his office to Los Angeles)
I’ve been going back to Dr. Friedman now for all my foot problems, even some I invented!
Who cares about the drive! (There’s a great taco place nearby!!!)
Thank you Dr. Friedman for ridding me of my pain.
Oh! Parking is only $ 5 but you can usually get a free spot on the street. That does not happen in Los Angeles!
Do I recommend Dr. Rory Friedman? Well I wish he worked on backs, arthritic fingers and teeth!

Hard to find Doctors like Dr. Friedman now in days…
I have been a patient of Dr. Friedman for 8 years. He truly is a excellent Doctor.
He removed my toe nail & was very gentle. I am a big chicken when it comes to
having procedures done to me. Any foot problem I have had. He has resolved my issue. He always goes out of his way to help you. I referred my Mother to him too. She is so happy & thankful to have him as her Podiatrist too.
The Staff is great always greets you with a smile, very friendly. It’s nice to feel welcome. Look no further & go see him.

Two years ago, my husband, Dan, went to Rory Friedman, DPM, for a second opinion regarding a chronic foot condition that he had. This is Dan’s review:
The owners of Tennie Mocs shoe store in Long Beach recommended Dr. Friedman to me, and I continue to bless them for this.
For years my previous foot doctor just kept giving me numerous cortisone injections for my plantar fasciitis.
This treatment was very painful and only masked the problem and did not solve it! Besides which, the number of injections that you can receive per year is limited.
On my very first visit to Rory Friedman, DPM, in less than one minute he properly diagnosed me with a common condition known as Leg Length Differential. He advised me to purchase a special tennis shoe and special inserts. On my next visit he modified the right insert raising the heel.
I am pleased to say that for the past two years I have been PAIN FREE without the need for injections!
He is always on time with his appointments! His nurses and front desk staff are always professional, prompt, and courteous!

Our entire family has been going to Dr. Friedman for many years. He always takes the time to listen and explains everything very clearly. He has solved problems such as painful bunions, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, Achilles Tendon Problems and my ankle instability. The orthotics he prescribed for me have made a huge difference in my life and I use them all the time. He has recommended shoes for me and I always follow his recommendations. Dr. Friedman’s office staff is very friendly and helpful. I have never had to wait a long time to see him. I would highly recommend Dr. Friedman without hesitation!

Dr. Friedman has really helped me with my Plantar Fasciitis issue. I like that I can call and get a nice human on the phone vs the robot press 2 if you want to —- etc.
I got a cortisone shot in my foot and it did not hurt when he did it, I have heard horror stories from friends who had this done at other places.
