I’ve loved Quiznos over Subway for years. But, Quiznos shops here locally are closing up left and right. I don’t know what is going on. Unfortunately this was my first, and probably last visit to this Bixby Knolls location. The interior is clean but, dated and worn. The restroom is also clean but, dingy and worn out. The customer service here was excellent. The owner was training a new employee. The exchanges between them were humorous and he was polite to her. I like seeing that when someone is new and training. My food was, just okay. Chocked with tons of iceberg lettuce and not a lot of other ingredients in my sandwich. One thing I ALWAYS look forward to when I visit Quiznos is … the dipping sauces. Italian, red wine vinegar and honey mustard. They are usually kept in self serve jars, with pump tops near where the peppers are kept. This visit, there were three cylindrical paper advertisements in the slots where the dressing jars used to be. I was not pleased with this change. Had to ask the owner for the dressings, which he made for me. Which I appreciated. But, they were in tiny, plastic ramekins. Napkins are also rationed here. No dispensers. A tell tale sign that it’s a franchise. When I’m forking over almost $ 12 for a sandwich and fountain drink. I would like all the amenities that Quiznos has offered for years. I was generally satisfied with my visit but, won’t return. I hope this store makes it.

Horrible service the girl is rude. She acts like she doesnt want to be there. The 1st time i went there I ordered a sandwich and wanted mushrooms but I wanted my mushrooms heated before placed on my sandwich. I guess she didnt understabd why so she said they are already hot I said but thats what I want yet again she said they are already hot. So i said can you just do what I ask its not that complicated. So she does it with an attitude. Then I go to look for the sauces that are usually on display, i would know this because my first job was quiznos. When I asked for some honey mustard and red wine vinegar she said we charge foe the sauces… I laughed because since when has quiznos charged for the sauces they usually have on display. I went back yesterday because I was craving a sandwich and was very hesitant to go back but since this is the only one in the long beach area I went. Order my sandwich ask for mushrooms and now they charge for mushrooms. Im like are you serious? Then she wants to make the sandwich all sloppy. However, this time when I asked for honey mustard and red wine vinegar, she hands it to me with no hesitation. So now is it free? She sits and eats her food behind the counter and talks on her phone the whole time until a customer other walks in. When I worked at quiznos there was always something to do. Prep the meats, and stock all the supplies. This quiznos is horrible and because of her I am sure they will not last long.

Always have a great experience here and the staff is really friendly. It would be better if there was another Quiznos in long beach. Their food always tastes great. It would be great if Quiznos opened up another location in long beach.

I am one of the few out there that likes Quiznos vs Subway. With a lot of locations closed already and lingering on their last legs… you would think they would try to improve the customer experience… probably not. Female Quiznos Worker did NOT seem happy to work here yesterday on Sept 16 around 5:45pm. Geez. Now I see why a lot of people on Unilocal are bashing this place. The owner/store manager/or whomever is in charge here has not trained these workers to put forth 100% instead of 60%. Who’s fault is this??? Bad Vibes here. The toppings put on the sandwiches by the worker were just«stingy». I asked for onions… no onions in the onion container… so she goes somewhere to get a few. Just a few. Seriously. I asked for green peppers… just a few. Very stingy. It’s not easy to see what toppings are available because she has the lids closed on them for some reason. Why? Are they not filled up or empty??? Hmmm. Just too many other things I viewed today that tells me I’m NOT coming back here anytime soon. Let me emphasize that we are the ONLY ones in there… NOTBUSY. I’m wondering what this worker is doing when there is no customers there… shouldn’t they be stocking up on the essentials here??? Used my $ 2 off coupon for mines and my wife used her $ 1 off coupon. After this experience… probably will NOT be coming back anytime soon. I like you Quiznos… but this experience deserves a stamp of disapproval. Nuff Said.

I came here the other day with a coworker and my brother. There was only 2 employees working and already they seemed backed up. Everything was scattered and sandwiches was cluttering the oven. I was scared that the sandwiches would fall off the oven’s belt. It seemed that the workers weren’t prepared. It was a long wait in line with only very little customers. By the time I got to order my food I still had to wait for the employee to put veggies on my sandwich and by the time my food reached the cashier counter, I still had to wait to pay. So my food was getting cold. Usually even if there is only 2 workers there would be one setting up the sandwich and one finishing the sandwich, but in this case it was one setting up and the other was everywhere else. By the time I finished paying, I went to get my drink not knowing that there was no ice in the machine. This was around 3ish p.m. One of the employees checked to see what was wrong and noticed that it was off the whole time. Which means they didn’t do a good setup for opening. In addition, they had to get ice at Starbucks next door. So while I wait for the ice I sat my food down but noticed that I didn’t get my soup… so still not even a bite in my sandwich, I still had to wait for my soup. Food and price wise it was really disappointing. For example pulled pork sandwich wasn’t even pulled pork meat, it was like chewy processed bland pastrami. Seriously you get great speedy service and a decent price from Subway!

Today was the dirtiest I have ever seen this place. I don’t understand why since it was empty and had two employees on hand. I walked in behind another woman ordering a sandwich and it took both employees to make the 1 sandwich. Ahh, I see they’re joined at the hip. When it was my turn to order I ordered the Mesquite Chicken exactly the way it was pictured on the menu. At which time the young man asked how did I want the sandwich… again, I said exactly how you guys sell the Mesquite sandwich. He then puts the chicken on the bread and asks do I want cheese, I replied with a yes and before he slaps it on the belt to be toasted he asked if I wanted oregano and says«I make it with oregano.» After about 2 ½ minutes the sandwich appeared on the other end black as black can be. The employee grabs it, cuts it and begins to wrap it. No lettuce no tomatoes no onions, nothing. I asked him if he was serious and he opens the sandwich as if to show me every thing is okay. What a freakin’ joke! There was nothing mesquite or chicken about that burnt sandwich. It’s no wonder you guys went out of business for some time. It’s sad that two employees can cause a customer to never return to an establishment and even more sad that I have typed this entire paragraph on an empty stomach.

They have coupons and offers on their Unilocal profile that they don’t honor. Wouldn’t honor the $ 1 off coupon for check-in. That is false advertisement. I won’t go back.

This is the ONLY near by Quiznos next to me, Bummer because I love their chicken carbonara. Sucks I have to drive further just for a Sandwhich, but I have to feed the Pregnancy cravings :). and I Can run into a cupcake place you May never know Lol. My sandwhich, always has plenty of meat, I ask for extra onions and mushroom, sauce and Toasted of course. I’m due for another Sandwhich. Parking Can be tight, Customer Service was friendly the time I went. Team effort I observed. I dnt see anymore quizno coupons either :( Sign up for your $ 2off Large Sub

What’s Not to Love? When I need a fast, and fairly healthy lunch, I call ahead. They take my order, and its ALWAYS waiting for me when I come in to pick it up. The chicken carbonara sandwich is amazing! Super tasty, give them a try!

I went there on Christmas Eve, and even though I didn’t know that it would be closing within 30 minutes of me getting there, ordering my food, and sitting down to eat they did offer to wait until I finished eating. But, knowing me and knowing that it was Christmas eve I told them to that it was okay. However, when I got home I had my salad with extra veggies(including pickles, cucumbers, olives, onions, and guacamole) I have to say that it was the best salad that I’ve had from another sandwich shop. The sweet black tea that I bough with my salad as part of a combo was THEBEST. I am a happy person because of this salad.

Ordered a sandwich here. Two hours later I was sweating, throwing up, and letting out whatever bacteria this Quiznos served me. Missed three days of work and lost 10 lbs. ate here regularly until I got sick. It’s a Quiznos you know what your getting before you go there. I used to like them. I’m young rarely get sick but when this thing hit me I was literally out of commission and even went to the dr. After the second day(I’m not a dr. Kinda guy). I could easily see someone like my grandmother eating here with me and not fairing so well(I mean writing to talk about it). I’m writing this review because I don’t like businesses that deal in food but cut corners when it comes to cleanliness, freshness, etc to save a buck. You serve food! You have the potential to get people seriously ill or worse. Make the connection!

I went here b/c I had the $ 2.99 combo meal coupon! The total was $ 3.25. The combo meal is: small sub: I got the turkey club with no Smoky Bacon a regular fountain: I got the Doritos Nacho Cheese drink: Root Beer I was the ONLY customer in there with 2 employees. I like the fact that when 1 employee was making my sub the other 1 was billing me. Good b/c I didn’t want to wait! The lady employee acted like she didn’t want 2 answer me when I asked her a question about the menu! I wish quiznos had more variety of chips! I give it a 5 star b/c the food was good. ™ I went May 25, 2012

Quiznos aka bootleg subway is still a good option for a balanced lunch. According to some old reviews this Quiznos is closed… and it was, but new owner got THENOZ back open. Quiznos has a better toaster and better bread than subway, but their menu options are not better. Quiznos offer quality meat and cheese but the veggies and veggoe options are not up to par when compared to subway. I like Quiznos but its near the bottom of my list for sandwiche spots.

I remember the day this Quiznos opened years ago. I was so excited to have this sandwich choice in the neighborhood. Then, one day, after years, they closed their doors; just like that! That was about 2 ½ years ago. Since then, I havent given it much thought. Then today, working from home, I needed lunch and was struggling with choice. Nothing sounded good. Everything was too familiar. I needed a change. Somewhere, in the back of my brain, I remembered seeing signs that Quiznos was back open. This seemed like a good idea. I quickly checked on Unilocal and they only have ONEREVIEW! Yikes! I know they are a chain, but the kid down the street’s lemonade stand has more reviews than that! It was weird walking in, after years. It all felt so familiar, yet not. Anyway, I placed my order and then got to talking to who appeared to be the owner, Hernaldo. Then, I saw his name on the wall, confirming it. So, I decided to pump him for info. Turns out, this location has been REOPENED for almost a year! I had no idea. Once the previous franchise went under, I kinda erased this location from my consideration set. I am happy to add it back in. And, based upon only two reviews, perhaps you should too?

I think this place is back. My wife and I had a craving for Quiznos and this one had been out of business for a while, but the other day she said one of those sign people was out on the street, so we had Quiznos last night. I had a soup bowl and a sandwich. Very good chicken noodle soup, tasty bread bowl and a steak sandwich. Just as good as I remembered it.

Yes, a three-star impartiality review. Why, you may ask? Did you work here? Do you have an axe to grind with them? Did you hate this place but didn’t wanna give ‘em a 1-star review? Nope. They couldn’t pay $ 9700 of back rent, so they quit. I wanted one of those little ‘bullet’ sandwiches and lo’and behold… these guys closed. Now, before we go blaming this on «the economy», I’ve been to this location on several occasions and was completely happy. Granted, they’re a bit above market on prices for other sandwich establishments, but then again you’re paying for quality ingredients(I don’t see Subway stocking black forest ham). They had the pepperonis, pickle chips and really(fucking good) horseradish at the end of the line. If I had a gripe about Quizno’s is that the end of the line is at the back of the store. Other problem unique to this location is that there’s only ONE entrance to the side street/parking, located just on the southwest corner of Atlantic and San Antonio. Back in the day when there was just a fountain(and no business) there, you can go through that little entrance on San Antonio by the Rite Aid, but that’s a ‘do not enter’ zone now. Well, Long Beach loses another business and tax revenue, and I should’ve gone to George’s 50s diner instead. Oh, this was going to make my Mountain Dew list, but will end up on Excommunicate! instead. Fuckin’ closed? Shit…

They closed over the week end. Damn, I ate here twice a week. I liked it. I think they have had a difficult time making it. Nice employees. I’m going to really miss them. Yuck… it’s back to the dirty Subway. Can’t I talk someone into opening an independant sandwich shop?
