Nora is the absolute best. I had 2 ceremonies for my wedding and needed makeup done for me and 3 bridesmaids for a 10:00 ceremony and then a transition from day to night makeup for a 6:00 ceremony. Nora not only worked with me on pricing and timing to make this reasonable for me and the bridal party, but made everyone look so beautiful at both ceremonies. She is also just a warm, fun person to be around and made the process a great way to start my wedding day. Anyone looking to get their makeup done cannot go wrong with Nora.

Nora is such a talented make-​up artist. She did my make up on my wedding day and her make up was so natural – which I was going for. Plus, my make up lasted the whole day until the end of the reception! Also, Sarah, who did my hair, did an amazing job! I love their work and their professionalism is impeccable! Long story short?
I was one of *those* brides that figured OK, I paid for a makeup lesson a few months ago, so I think I should be good to save some $$ and do my own makeup on my wedding day! Come the morning of my wedding, everything is coming together just as I hoped.
Then I realize how gorgeous everything is looking, and I paused.
And panicked.
So many photos are going to be taken today. This is my wedding day. The day that only happens once. The day that I can’t redo. The photos I’ll keep forever and show to my own children one day…
I literally called her the morning of my wedding inquiring about her availability (of course surprising her with my day of dilemma, but who calls the day of their wedding??? Oh right. I do. :P). She was SO unbelievably kind after hearing my story and got back to me right away. She even moved around important personal things she had already planned for that day to come to my rescue and she was at my hotel door within 25 minutes. She was so incredibly sweet and we shared many laughs in the time she was there. I showed her my inspiration of my look and she worked quickly and precisely. It was obvious she had years of experience and this was her talent. I felt like I won the lottery of makeup artists. And after she was done dolling me up, I knew I was right. I felt like a movie star. No, better — I felt like the bride on my wedding day :)
I can not rave about Nora enough.
I had my makeup done for my engagement shoot the year before by someone else, and to be honest it was what made me hesitant to getting my makeup done on my wedding day. Our engagement photos turned out great since thankfully most of them were taken from a distance, but I even felt uncomfortable with my own (at the time) soon-​to-​be husband standing 2 feet from me. I felt like I was wearing a mask or stage makeup. I feared I would be so embarrassed to stand in front of my family or new family members feeling like a clown.
With Nora, this was not the case at all. And even looking at the photos and video now, my makeup looked flawless from a distance as well as up close. I was able to look in the mirror on my wedding day and not feel plain. Not feel like it was just any other day or any other event. Most importantly, I was able to still see me and feel like myself.

My son got married in Long Beach California this October. Coming from New York, I didn’t know who to use. I read all about Nora and did a trial the Aoril prior to the wedding. Nora and her hair assistant were the two nicest and most professional people you would ever want to meet. They were extremely punctual and were able to do all of us in a timely manner making it a truly wonderful, happy experience. They really started the day off perfectly for my sister, my nieces and me. Nora is as sweet as she is talented, and we all looked beautiful in the pictures. Thank you Nora!

Nora is amazing. She is a highly talented professional makeup artist. I found her on Unilocal and she did my makeup for my wedding last July. She uses airbrush makeup, so it lasted all day in the summer heat. She also did my mother in-​law and maid of honor’s makeup. As a budget friendly option, she did foundation only for a few other woman in my wedding party. She came to our hotel room and was very efficient with her work and patient with us as we rushed around on that busy day. She is extremely friendly and easy to talk to. She was very flexible. When I asked for her to darken my eye makeup or purchase a different kind of false eyelashes she did it happily. She worked with me to give me a look that looked natural, fit my style, and enhanced my features. I highly recommend Nora for your special day.

LIFE SAVER! So literally the night before my daughters Prom I reached out to Nora and asked if she had availability the next day to help me with my daughters makeup (original artist cancelled) and within 2 minutes I receive a response saying I have 6 appointments but I can squeeze her in at 11:30 and get her done before my next appt. at 12:30! I was thrilled so I booked. I was sooooooo glad I did. My daughter looked stunningly beautiful. In fact, multiple people kept asking who did her makeup! Nora used airbrush techniques and the makeup lasted 15 hours through all the sweat from dancing! My daughter never needed to reapply anything! Not even the lipstick!!! Nora is funny too, full of conversation and works so fast! My daughter was in and out in about 30 minutes! I already booked Nora for senior pictures and can’t wait! Thank you Nora so much for your amazing talent and kind heart!!!

PLEASE READ!!! Unfortunately, I had already put my whole trust in Nora to come forward to get me ready for my engagement picture photo shoot. She had the nerves to cancel me 5 days before my day so Now my choices were minimal to find someone else. It was very frustrating. Why commit 100%.,?? She has been the most unprofessional person I have ever met, as it is planning a wedding is stressful and on top of that I had to deal with a nonsense person… So please be careful…

I recently got married in November and like any bride to be I needed a makeup artist for the big day. I came on Unilocal and saw Puresemblance. From the first point of contact Nora was very fast in communicating with me via email. After emailing back and forth I set a date and time for a trial for me and my mother in law. Needless to say I was blown away. I was blown away not only by her skills but by her. Nora is very talented and her airbrush application is flawless. Now I don’t wear full coverage make up just eyeliner, mascara and a bit of concealer but for having a full face of makeup on I could hardly tell I had any on!
Conversation with her flows and there is never an awkward moment. I knew I had to book her. A couple days before the wedding we emailed to set up her arrival time the day of and she showed up earlier than scheduled to set up, which I thought was awesome. Everyone loved their makeup and I could not have been happier. My makeup lasted through the whole night, from my crying to sweating from dancing so much! I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for a makeup artist for their wedding or any occasion. She is so easy to work with. I never stressed when it came to her. I will definitely see her again whenever I need to get dolled up. Thank you so much Nora!

Nora did do a good job with my best friends makeup on her wedding day. And she went out of her way to make sure the bride was happy! She did an airbrush on the bride and the bridesmaids, the make up lasted all day long.

I am a photographer and I was putting on an art gallery show this past weekend– needing to look sexy as can be I hired Nora to beautify me! I work with a lot of different make up artists and I was so delighted with not only how professional she was but how talented as well. Her airbrushing is flawless, and my vampy cranberry Smokey Eye was gorgeous! You rocked my world and I can’t wait to use you again!

I couldn’t recommend Nora more highly. She is incredible. I can say this objectively… as I work with makeup artists for a living… none of which have the skills or efficiency of Nora.
I got married on July 13^th in Long Beach and was a bit nervous. I did not do the makeup trial run before my wedding (it just wasn’t in the budget). Everybody told me I was crazy… after all Nora could have been a complete, talentless hack. But I trusted Unilocal and I’m glad I did.
Nora was amazing. Aside from the beautiful job she did on my makeup and hair (which was seriously the best I’ve ever looked), she also didn’t dick around with idle conversation and waste my time. That might sound blunt, but when you are paying for service… you want the job done and quickly. With weddings already being a stress-​fest, having somebody who is both talented and efficient is EXACTLY what a bride needs.
I recommend Nora to absolutely everybody… and let her use fake eyelashes on you. I wasn’t a believer until I met her (just as so many others have said on their reviews, as well). Nobody will know they aren’t real and you’ll look THAT much more beautiful in your pictures!

I was recently in Long Beach for a workshop on bikini competition and stage presence and we had an impromptu photo shoot. I went on Unilocal and found Nora and she fit me in within minutes! She was affordable, helpful, easy to find and very easy to communicate with about what I wanted. I left feeling BEAUTIFUL!!!

I found Nora on Unilocal last year when I was looking for a makeup artist in the Long Beach area. From the first point of contact through wedding day she was easy to work with, responsive, and professional. I told her I normally did not wear very much make up and wanted to look like «me» still on my day. She did exactly as I asked and I got so many compliments on the day of about how beautiful I looked and how natural it looked as well. I would definitely use Nora again for any event that I needed to get my make up done!

Nora was excellent! I was a bridesmaid from out of town and she came on time to my hotel room to make me beautiful! She did a great job and was very professional. The airbrush make up lasted from 9:30am to midnight. Everyone complimented me on my make up.

I have used Nora for several different shoots and I’ve been 100% satisfied with her work on every occasion. All of my models have nothing but wonderful things to say about her.
Nora is an extremely gifted makeup artist and she is able to develop many different looks based on the various criteria that I’ve given her. You can really tell that she cares a lot about the quality of her work… and it shows!
Not only is her work amazing, but she also has a great attitude and awesome sense of humor too. She is always on set earlier than her call time and is ready with makeup brush in hand for touch ups without my ever asking her.
Oh, and as a bonus, she also does great hair styling as well!

Nora is my girl when I have brides who are looking for a great make up artist for their wedding. If you hang around her long enough two things will happen.
1. You will start asking her to do your makeup/​show you how she did her eyes. She is an eye genius I swear. Not surprised though with her MAC experience.
2. She will crack your arse up so many times, you will start asking her to repeat the same stories she has already told you. The fried chicken/​husband in the hospital story still makes me laugh to myself, and if youre lucky she will tell you too:)
Always professional, and on your wedding day, you kind of want the best. With Nora, you get what you pay for, and I feel totally comfortable sending my clients to her.
