Business Owner

Hello! I am Kamini Batugedara, the Director and careprovider for the Play Pen Montessori and Daycare.

I am a professionally qualified Montessori teacher with over 10 years of experience in Montessori/​Pre-​school teaching and seven years of Elementary school teaching.

I received my diploma in Montessori method of education during the years of 1993 and 1994 in Sri Lanka. Since, I have had education in infant development from Long Beach City College and have earned an early education certificate in Health, Safety/​Nutrition/​Young Child from Vanguard University. Additionally, I’ve completed units in Curriculum Development, Classroom Management, Development in early Childhood, Young Child in the family and community from the University of California Los Angeles. Most recently, I have completed training in Supervision & Administration of Early Childhood Centers from the University of California Los Angeles.
