First time I attended here was last year in May for a solo show by Lora Zombie.(Since I’ve known of this place she’s been here 3 times already!). I love her art and I was able to meet her and get one of her books signed. Best day! The gallery is small which works in favor of the visitors. We really get a chance to interact with each another and the artists in attendance. That makes for a very awesome social experience. Rubbing elbows with so many talented people there makes me geek out. Haha The owner and staff is friendly and on opening nights they have refreshments and sometimes live entertainment. That’s always fun. PBG showcases local talent(which I love, having attended art school at CSULB) and of course international talent. There’s never a dull moment here or exhibit for that matter. I totally recommend it to art lovers and especially to those who maybe aren’t but want to try the art scene. The talent they attract and showcase is amazing. Most people when they think of galleries they think boring art and staring blindly at the wall. That’s never the case here. The location is great. It’s not too far from Downtown Long Beach. Parking space is limited so I’d recommend getting here early on opening nights. Last recommendation… following them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram is a must! Keep in touch with what’s happening :)
