New Flower Studio

Came here and was greeted by Vanessa. She is very sweet, patient and knowledgeable. Glad I found this place… couldn’t be happier. I got some ear piercings and my nose done… great job reasonably priced.

Was looking for a new piercing studio for my gf and came across New Flower on Unilocal and decided to stop in and check it out. Very professional and Vanessa took great care and helped with what we were looking for. Definitely found a new studio to go to. Thanks again Vanessa and Selene.

I can’t tell you how much I love this studio. I went in today to buy a new ring the other day for my nose piercing and the staff, as always, so very professional and informative. The owner inserted my jewelry for me.
I love how clean and relaxing the studio is, it feels like you are walking into a spa or salon. I just moved out of the area but I’ll probably make the drive to come back to this studio for any piercing needs I have.

I Facebook messaged them about a dermal removal they got back to me within a few hours, let me know how much and when they are open. Today I went to get it removed and I was helped by Vanessa she could tell I was nervous and talked to me the whole time, she also let me know what she was doing while she was removing the piercing. She was so sweet and told me about some jewelry for a piercing id like later on. She took her time with everything and definitely made me want to go back to her and this place.

Going into New Flower I was extremely nervous, however VANESSA made me feel completely comfortable. If you’re looking for an artist with a professional atmosphere I would highly recommended New Flower. Thanks again VANESSA!!!

I went in and got my lobes pierced by Vanessa. She was extremely pleasant to work with and made me feel comfortable! I’m pretty introverted and anxious, but she made me feel at ease. The piercing went by quick and she did an amazing job! The shop is also very clean and provides a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to my friends.

Today i went to get my nipples pierced. My friend xiomara went with me. We were greeted by celine. She was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. She showed me a video about how to care for my piercing. John did my piercings. He was professional, wonderful, and explained everything to me. And answered all my questions i had. He made me feel relaxed. He has a good technique on piercing. He went above and beyond by turning my jewelry from silver to blue. I will definitely recommend my friends to come here. Thank you john and cecil. Im so happy with my piercings. Great customer service, very clean shop and organized. Nice area too.

Took me a good minute to pick a piece as this was my first nose piercing. Everyone was very patient and helpful. Facility is super clean. Beautiful pieces to choose from! The piercer was very thorough and professional; described the process step by step as he did it. Good times!

This studio is very great, clean and professional. I had my nostril pierced by Vanessa Jo and she did a great job talking me through the procedure and reminding me to focus on my breathing and before I knew it I was pierced and it was painless. I absolutely would recommend New Flower Studio to anyone that wants phenomenal advice, high quality jewelry, and professional customer service.

The piercing saga continues…
After my left hole closed, I went to Somatic to get it redone. Well, I actually came here first, but the piercer was out and I didn’t feel like waiting for him to return.
At Somatic I got a ball front piercing and the lady «stretched» the hole for a really long time. It felt pretty painful. Everything seemed fine, until it started bleeding and aching after the first month. I took out the piercing and the hole closed AGAIN. Then, a couple months later, my right hole decided to close as well.

I finally made my way back to New Flower, and everyone here is just so friendly and chill. I forgot the name of the girl up front, but she’s a doll (though a little too worried about alien life here on Earth… hahahaha).
Matt took me to the back, and I got some cute diamond-​looking studs put in. He said my right hole was still open, so the tapered tool did the job. The left was closed, though, so we needed to do a full re-​piercing.
The whole thing was faster and less painful than the one stretch at Somatic, and I like my studs much more. Plus, the vibe of the staff is amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

I went by myself, mind you I’m a little shy, but I certainly felt welcomed. Vanessa was my piercer and she was super professional, knowledgeable, and caring. She walked me through the process, what to expect during, and the after care as well. I got my rook pierced, it looks amazing and I will definitely will be coming back!

Piercings. Tattoos. Body Mods. Don’t matter, I love ‘em! I have plenty of my own, and I enjoy adding on every now and then. With my job, it’s a little harder to do fun mermaid hair now like I used to, but piercings. well you can hide those! So why not get another.
My little sister has been looking to get her cartilage pierced, as well as a triple forward helix and a septum piercing. At 17, she’s done plenty of research and she wanted to pop in and talk to the piercers here. I recommended her to New Flower as I got my belly button pierced here ages ago, and remembered the amazing and professional service. So after a trip to Newport, we swung by NFS so she could ask some questions. New Flower is located in a small shopping plaza about 2 blocks east of CSULB off of Anaheim Rd, and Studebaker. It doesn’t actually say «New Flower Studio» on anything but the door, but it says «Professional Body Piercing» and that’s your place! Parking is a decent sized lot, but if you come on sundays, half of that lot is No Parking unless you’re attending mass at Cornerstone Church.
Walking in we were greeted by 6 very large standing GLASS cases that held hundreds of different jewelry to select for your piercing of choice. Clickers, retainers, septum rings, nose rings, barbells, plugs. they have it all. And its not cheap jewlery either. It is really nice, higher end items meaning your piercing will heal better. We met with John, the shop owner who is legit the coolest shop owner I’ve met in a piercing studio. Tattoos, dreadlocks, and very laid back. I inquired as to how much a few of the piercings I wanted were — ranging from $ 25-​$ 75, including the jewlery. Most are the piercing fee, which is low, usually $ 20-​$ 50, then add on your jewlery. I continued to browse as my sister asked her questions. John was able to answer every single one she had, and showed her several types of jewlery she could use, and which would provide a faster/​better healing time without catching or snagging on anything. I ended up not purchasing anything, but now have appointments set up for next week to repierce one of my ears, and my sister has one for a cartilage piercing. John advised us to make our appointments online, but if we wanted a specific piercer, to call the shop and leave a name and number for the piercer to call you back at. Since most are appointment based, please keep your appointment! I asked what was easier and was informed that so many people are no shows when they call and make an appointment, they PREFER online bookings. But walk-​ins are welcome!
The shop itself is SUPER clean, mellow, laid back, but with a professional vibe and look. The front is small, holding a desk and the cases. The girl up front is Celina, and she’s über sweet! Vanessa is their female piercer! And she’s bad ass. Probably one of the only pain-​free piercings I have haha! They go over your piercing, the care for it, and with Unilocal check in you get one free sea salt cleanser, which is one of the best things to clean new piercings with. I can understand why this shop won’t pierce anyone under the age of 16 — its a safety issue, and places that pierce ears for younger children (ex: mall places like claires, icing, or other mall type locations) have a higher chance of shattering the cartilage. Or why rambunctious/​loud children would not be welcome. The shop is very quiet, as the back rooms are used for the piercings and you don’t know if there are other clients in there. I, personally, would be mad as hell if I was having a piercing done and out of nowhere there is a shreiking child in the lobby. Parents if you bring a child, please wait outside if they are loud. It disturbs other customers appointments (which is hella rude!). John was very friendly, and his staff is hella knowledgeable about the piercings, care and jewelry. And while you could go to other places like Somatic or Outer Limits (DTLB), Barbella (another fave) or Outer Limits Piercing in Costa Mesa, you WON’T find friendly piercers or a more knowledgeable staff anywhere else.
I will for sure be back to New Flower Studio. John and his team are the best. It’s a professional shop, and I don’t have to deal with the bratty kids at the mall, or in other piercing studios. They have piercings and jewlery choices to fit everyone’s needs and price range, and piercers to make you feel at ease and comfortable if you’re nervous! All in all, an FANTASTIC shop. I will of course be back!

John Johnson was awesome. Very thorough with his information and extremely sanitary. He made me feel very comfortable and helped reduce any fear I may of had. I will definitely be returning.
