Business Owner

Dr. Garlington graduated from USC Dental School in 1984 and completed his orthodontic residence at USC in 1986. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, California Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, Harbor Dental Society, Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is actively involved in his community and is dedicated to providing his patients with the best possible orthodontic care. Dr. Garlington is a strong advocate of early orthodontic intervention for growing children but provides orthodontic care for patients of all ages and is extremely knowledgeable in the area of adult orthodontia.

I went to Dr. Garlington 10 years ago (before Unilocal lol) and completed Invisalign treatment. I returned today to get new retainers made and was reminded how nice he was! His staff is super friendly and their new office (new to me) is beautiful! I was amazed at how high tech everything has become. Instead of those impressions that gag you, it was all digital. I highly recommend Dr. Garlington!

I love Dr. Garlington and his entire staff (a special shout out to Laura!). I felt welcomed immediately by *everyone*, have had great appointment experiences, and am loving my wonderful results so far! I’m nearly done and can’t wait for that ‘after’ picture! I’ve already highly recommended this place to others because this is where you want to go, if you want perfect teeth with a pleasant experience. If you’re debating, go here!

I get very nervous about dentist, orthos, really anyone around my teeth, due to bad experiences with them when I was a kid. Dr Garlington and his staff really do their best to put you at ease. They are all very friendly, caring people. I have missed both appointments & payments, and Karen, the manager, has been nothing but understanding about it. Appointments are very easy to come by, and they have several different payment plans.

Beautiful office. Very clean and state-​of-​the-​art. Friendly and helpful staff. Dr Garlington is super nice and gentle with my daughter. My Orthodontist when I was a kid was so mean and my experience was awful. I wanted a better orthodontic experience for my daughter and I found it here. They are very organized and set up a treatment plan so you know what to expect from the beginning and set up a payment plan with you giving you several different options. They also remind you of your appt via email and phone call.

What a beautiful office. I already feel at ease here!
The women behind the counter were super friendly which also put me at ease.
I was able to see the Dr. interact with other patients and he was kind and caring and personable. I’m already impressed.
When it was my turn to be seen I was taken into an office with a nurse and they gave me a REAL DEAL exam. He called out some dental talk and she the same. These people are professional and know what they are doing! WHEW!
We spoke about what he can do for me and low and behold, it’s right on target with what my previous ortho had planned too. He even said, «I’m a professional and can handle any situation». I even asked him, «so you don’t think I need jaw surgery or teeth removed?» He point blank said «no, we can correct this with a thicker wire and bands.» (insert angels singing)
I left the office with a clear, printed explanation of payments and an appointment to start my treatment! I couldn’t be happier. (See previous review as to why)
Side note, it appears that Unilocal has hidden a bunch of 5 star reviews, but trust me, this is the kind of place you want to get your braces from! First class all the way!

I have to get braces. I’m glad that my teeth will finally be straightened out but I’m not looking forward to the discomfort and the frequent appointments
My dentist, Dr. Coates, referred me here. (see review) I went in for my initial consultation on a busy morning when I also had doctor’s appointment right afterwards. I had to wait 15 minutes for my appointment to begin adnd I was beginning to worry.
Finally I got in to meet with Dr. Garlington, a very kind professional and friendly man who is well-​qualifed to do adult braces. He’s also accredited to do Invisalign braces.
After discussing options, payment plans and answering my questions. I agreed to let him to impressions. He let his staff know I had an appointment to rush off to and they were great.
I can’t wait for my new smile.
