I am a big guy that has recently started skating again. I haven’t skated in a good 15 years, and had recently bough an Ogre Dexx board which I was very happy about. I came in to this place about half an hour before closing to make a quick purchase of some risers.
I was greeted by Mike and Vitor who were very laid back and welcoming. They asked what I was looking for and solved my problems. They installed the risers and had me take it for a ride, they were perfect. I told them I was just getting back into skating, which I was nervous for telling them. I didn’t want them to judge me as a newb and not care about my questions. My experience was the opposite. They thought it was great that I had decided to start skating again. They told me to look around the shop and to not hesitate if I had any questions at all. I felt relieved! I told them I didn’t want to take too long because I was aware that it was almost closing time. They told me not to worry about that at all and to take my time. This is how I know that they really care about their customers. What employee will say that these days?! I was impressed, and had a great conversation with Mike and Vitor before I left. I told them I’d be back and I look forward to my next visit.
Very cool place, and prices are reasonable. I came in recently and they were having «decktober», where all the decks were $ 39.99. I hope they keep running promotions like these because that’s how you get a new skater like me excited to come back! Thanks guys.

LB Skate is the go-​to spot when it’s time to upgrade/​replace boards, wheels, accessories, shoes… they pretty much have it all. Being skateboarders themselves, Tim and Mikey are very knowledgeable and experienced. This is a skate shop run by skateboarders. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Super cool guys don’t oversell anything just genuinely there to help out. Brought my son in here and instead of just gripping his board and putting his trucks on completely for him they took the time to teach him how to do it and give him some info about his board. My son is 9 I don’t skate and he is basically teaching himself how via YouTube so it was cool for him to meet someone willing to take the time to not just do it for him but show him how. We paid for some supplies we used but it was very reasonable. Also the guys aren’t OVERLY personable which I personally really appreciate everyone is just really laid back and nice.

First time skateboard purchase for my 5 yr old, and Tim was great! He assessed my baby’s needs and was so patient with us – I learned so much.
He even ordered a smaller deck (enjoy 7×28) for her size.
She absolutely loves it and he even referred us to skatedogs, who can help with the basics…
The whole time, I never felt pressured into buying anything. When I picked up the board, Mikey helped us out!!!

Great shop. Very friendly. Had a nice selection of shirts, shoes, and decks. Workers were cool. Bought a few shirts and a shop deck to hold on to.

Distinctive location, popular as a drop in spot with school kids, which made it entertaining. The guys in the shop were welcoming to all — including a young Austrian girl who was after tips on what to do in LB.
I was after a couple of simple boards for my young daughters — my wife had spotted Penny boards online, so I went in with those on my mind.
Some great advice about skate board schools followed my introduction — it’s a shame my family doesn’t live nearby to take advantage of this. Eventually, I settled on a couple of limited edition Pennys that I know my girls will love.

Worked with Mikey today. First time here. We drove all the way from south Orange county b/​c they looked well stocked & had great feedback on Unilocal.Glad we did! Our 5 year old is a budding street phenom :-) we could use the extra help & patience in getting him a new skateboard as we know nothing about skating. 20% Unilocal coupon was great! We got a new deck, wheels, trucks, socks and helmet with pads. The whole shebang! Bam! Everything was reasonably priced and we were definitely not up sold, we were the 1’s that had to push to get the expensive stuff. Highly recommend.

I am a female, I’ve been here 1 other time asking about wheels and the guy in there didn’t make me feel ‘welcome’ so that put me off to asking the questions I wanted to so I left. (That happened approx. 2 years ago). BUT TODAY I RETURNED and I received a welcoming smile and immediate attention by the man named Tim! I wanted to know how to make my Greenbrew Longboard go faster whether it being that I needed new wheels or bearings, and he simply said the wheels are not usually the problem it’s the bearings that often need to be changed more often due to rust and debris over time depending on how well you take care of them, I’d only ever cleaned them once In 10 years and that was just the other day. He simply put new bearings on for me and I came back to pick it up, he smiled and said this should ride better! Voilá my skateboard feels brand new again! Thank you Tim, I’ll never go to another skate shop so long as I walk in and your there!

I came here to buy a pennyboard, they were helpful and after mentioning Unilocal I got 20% off! $ 120 board for 100+tax, pretty legit! They also switched out my bolts for white ones per my request (usually not suppose to) so that was cool. Usually you get a free shirt so they wrote on my receipt the next time to stop in that I could grab one. Which I will be back for any skateboarding needs! Also loosened my trucks to make turning easier, all these extra services for a great price! To top it off they gave me stickers!

We love the customer service here. My son is 8 and loves skateboarding. The owner and his staff always take the time to talk to him and have even skated with him or front and shown him tricks. This place is exactly why shopping small business is better. It’s that personal touch that all too often we don’t see anymore at bigger named stores. :)

Legitimate Skate shops are a dying species unfortunately. this one is doing a fine job of keeping skaters pushing. Friendly, patient helpful staff.

This place was awesome! I’m fairly new to the area and the store made me feel right at home! I was getting a Penny from Tim. He was so friendly helpful and kind. The prices were pretty great too! Overall amazing customer service and shop to buy from. Get great vibes! I really recommend stopping by this over a bigger chain store! Definitely coming back.

I dealt with one of the owners when purchasing parts for a few skateboards. The dude could not have been more knowledgeable. He knew I wanted a sick looking, and riding board, gave a sh! t, and made a happy first time customer. Fresh clothing, good vibe, best skate shop in LB BY FAR!

Being that its been a long time since I have skated, it was a little nerve racking getting back into it. I came in here the first time to pick up some grip tape for a new board and the shop owner Tim, was really friendly. He provided me with info on the new brands that had come out since I had stopped skating and helped me pick out some basic grip and bolts. A couple days later I broke my board and came in to get a new one. I believe a young guy named Bryce, helped me pick one. He was super nice and gave me information on all the new decks based on the size I was interested in, what I was skating and the money I felt like spending. He changed out my board and answered some questions that I had about some shoes. The overall price for the new board and grip were reasonable.

Went in today. The guy who helped us was awesome. He answered my questions, gave a great deal and engaged my daughter in conversation regarding skateboarding in a positive way. I’m so happy I went there, even if it was a bit of a drive from my pad. Good things are worth the gas. :)

A great Sk8 shop! I went to 4 skate shops in the area trying to solve a problem I had. Tim (one of the owners) was so helpful and friendly. He was able to solve my problem by thinking outside of the box. I planned to spend $ 50 for the fix. His solution only set me back $ 15. He even installed the parts and tested the equipment as I waited. I am looking forward to returning for help with future endeavors. Good lookin out LB Skate.
