Knolls Dental Care

First of all, I have to start by saying I’m terrified of going to the dentist. Like, debilitating anxiety, can’t sleep, full on melt down, fear of dental work. Dr. Kim and his staff were extremely effective in calming my anxiety and assuaging my fears. They fit me in quickly and I was able to receive the work I’ve needed for sometime. Dr. Kim even called me to make sure I was ok the next day.
Also, a big thank you to Hannah, Josh and Shalleigh (I don’t know how to spell her name) who answered all my crazy questions and really helped calm my nerves.
I recommend this office especially for anybody who has a fear of going to the dentist. They will treat you kindly, gently and with patience.

Hannah was awesome doing my teeth whitening! Everyone there is always polite but Hannah goes above and beyond. Always making sure everything is ok and I’m not in pain. I’ve had horrible dentist in the past and I was honesty scared to go in at first. Yet when I went in they made me feel welcomed and heard me out unlike the old dentists I had. If you need a dentist office who is honest and makes you feel like family than this is the office for you. Keep up the good work!

My daughter was so nervous for her filling. Her assistant, Hannah, was amazing!!! They gave her headphones, a blanket and pillow. The smile on my daughter’s face was priceless. Dr. Kim and his staff worked wonders for her. Thank you Hanna and Dr. Kim for making her feel comfortable during this process. As a mom, it is a great feeling when someone takes such good care of your child, and eases their fears. Thank you again!

So today I received a Prophy exam (a cleaning as i knew it) at Dr Johnathan Kim’s office. I have to say it was a really relaxing experience, not what I usually expect at a dentist! I usually hate going to the dentist but Vanessa, my Hygentist put me at ease, she was great! She was super gentle and did a great job. Victoria and Shalae walked me through checking in and dealing with my dental benefits, it covered my cleanings and preventative treatments. I felt Dr Kim was honest with me about the condition of my teeth and suggested ways to help me improve my teeth so that they will last me for a long time. He spoke to me in terms I can understand and made it simple for me. I’m not sure about other reviews but I feel many people sometimes think that good dental care should be free!!! IDK… Just like anything you get what you pay for… I will be going back to take care of some cavities and am confident that I am in good hands. Lastly, the best part about it was that I felt they were looking out for my best oral health and not in a $$. This is a great down to earth office that will look out for your teeth. the rest is up to me to follow through with what Dr Kim suggested.

It was my first time at this dental office. I haven’t been to the dentist in a while and they took good care of me. They’re very nice and polite. They make you feel at home. Can’t wait for my next visit. Thanks guys.

I’m so glad I found this place. The staff is super friendly, the place is clean, and they make you feel very comfortable. It doesn’t feel like a scary dentist checkup at all! I’m more than willing to drive out to see Dr. Kim

This place tries to charge me up the ass for every thing. It’s too expensive and far away from me, so I changed dental offices today to somewhere closer by me. I understand that canceling an appointment has a fee sometimes. Maybe $ 20-​$ 25. But $ 40 to cancel an appointment ?! That’s ridiculous. And to transfer my x rays to the new office, I have to go pick them up and pay to take those too??? MY x rays? Most places would email them to the new office for free… Every time I ever made an appointment here I ended up having to spend a ton of money. Not anymore.

Great place! The staff if very friendly and informative, upon first visit you’ll get a tour of the office and get to meet the workers

I am very dissatisfied with this office. I came in as a new patient, on a recommendation, and will never be returning. I had Crystal as my hygienist. When she took me back to take xrays she was not very personable and gave the impression that she was inconvenienced (like my visit had cut into her lunch, being that i had the 1^st appointment after lunch). I during the xray indicated to her that the films she had placed in my mouth were stabbing me making it impossible to bite down on and she simply replied «thats just how they are». The cleaning itself was awful. She was very aggressive and heavy handed. She used a water pick which sprayed my ENTIRE FACE, which she didn’t seem to mind or try to minimize the spray. She then condescendingly commented on my inflamed gums as if it were a biproduct of my brushing (but they were inflamed from the xray films cutting into my gums from earlier). This has been the most unpleasant dental experience I have ever had with a hygienist.
And on top of that they are now trying to charge me $ 25 for a copy of my xrays to take to another dentist. So the xrays you paid for initially you are going to have to pay for again, according to Jackie the office manager. I work in a doctors office and we never charge for xrays being given to another doctor as a professional courtesy. Highly unprofessional.

After 16 years with the same dentist I had to look for a new one since my old one retired. I did a ton of research to find this dentist. Location is great. Staff is extremely nice both in person and on the phone. Dental hygienist was thorough and gentle. Dr. Kim was nice and took his time examining my teeth and explaining what he found. Not pushy at all which I like. Both my husband and I are happy to have found a new dentist.

I was a patient of Knolls Dental many years ago when there were other Dentist at the office. I had some work done and I was not pleased and decided not to return to them after being a patient since a child. My mom stayed and told me how nice the new staff is and so I decided to give them a try. I am so happy that I did!
When I called to make our appointments I was told they could get my daughter in the same week but it would be a wait for me but they would call me back if someone cancels. They called me back earlier the following week with an appointment for that same week and I was shocked to even get a call back. My daughter had her appointment first and they were so nice to her and made her feel comfortable and at ease. I had my appointment a few days later and they introduced us to all of the friendly staff and gave use a tour. My appointment went great! My hygienist Crystal was excellent! Today I received a call from Dr. Kim checking to make sure that everything is still going okay with the work I had done. They are all awesome!

I only go to the dentist when there is pain, but I decided to check it out because my wife had a pleasant experience and I haven’t gone to the dentist in 8+ years…
Office is nice and the staff is friendly and ATTRACTIVE! That was a plus!
The hygienist (Katryna) cleaned my teeth first and she also explained what she was doing which was helpful since I was left in the dark with no explanation with my past dental experiences. My teeth/​gums are sensitive but she was gentle and accommodating.
After that, I didn’t wait long for Dr. Kim to assess my teeth and to my (and his) surprise, my teeth/​gums were in good shape. I did have some cavities, which needed to be filled, but nothing major!
Overall, I had a pleasant experience. No time wasted at the office and they were able to provide all the care that I needed.
Did I mention the staff was attractive? =]

Staff was very helpful and accomodating. Office is very clean, and Dr. Kim is a pretty funny guy. He was able to fill 4 fillings during my lunch break from work. Jackie in the front office is a very nice (and pretty) girl. I will definitely be returning for future work.

I had a toothache that started on a Thursday. By Saturday, it had increased in frequency and intensity. I woke up Sunday to excruciating pain, but I was going to try to tough it out until Monday when I could go see the dentist. However, by early afternoon, I just couldn’t take it anymore! I can only think of one other experience that caused more pain than this crazy toothache!
I called Dr. Kim and left a message. He called me back relatively quickly, and I told him what I was experiencing. At the time, he told me it sounded like a root canal. He said he would make some phone calls and get back to me. Within a few minutes, he called me back and told me he could see me in about an hour at his office!
I had my wife drive me to Dr. Kim’s office as quickly as possible, and by the time I got there, Dr. Kim and an assistant were already there (earlier than the stated time)! Dr. Kim and his assistant came out on a Sunday night spur of the moment to treat me, and I was extremely grateful!
Although Dr. Kim had initially thought I needed a root canal, during the examination, he determined a root canal wasn’t necessary and that the pain was being caused by something else. I was definitely grateful for his honesty! I got the sense he wouldn’t do unnecessary procedures just to make a quick buck!
When it was all said and done, he prescribed me some antibiotics and painkillers to help me with my toothache. I am thankful to Dr. Kim and his assistant (I wish I had gotten her name) for helping me get through this very unpleasant ordeal.
I should note that when Dr. Kim’s assistant was prepping me, I apologized to her for inconveniencing her. I told her how grateful I was that she, along with Dr. Kim, would come out on a Sunday night to take care of me, and she commented that it wasn’t a big deal and that it wasn’t the first time they had done this for one of their patients. I couldn’t help but feel like the staff there are just all around good people!
In closing, I had an excellent experience with Dr. Kim, and I look forward to having the same great service during future visits! I am confident that he is honest and professional. Thank you for going out of your way to get me feeling better quickly!

Dr. Kim is the most skilled and personable dentist I’ve ever been to and his dental assistants are great too!!! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist because he is the best I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to too many dentists in my life to count! Dr. Kim and the Knolls Dental Group staff exemplify the perfect combination of professionalism and kindness that every dental patient should experience — they are extremely friendly and easy-​going (which is welcome for putting anyone at ease in a dentist office in the first place) and their professional demeanor in how they explain everything before/​during the procedure, plus how efficiently and skillfully they complete the procedure is impressive and very very much appreciated!
When Dr. Kim replaced the silver fillings in my bottom molars with white fillings, he did such a great job with the filling that it looks like my real tooth! You can’t even tell there’s a filling there! I’ve also had a root canal done by Dr. Kim that was painless and super quick and the crown looks/​feels very natural. Dr. Kim was recommended to me by a co-​worker years ago, and even though I live in another state, I try to schedule my dental visits to coincide with my planned trips to California because my teeth are worth it!

Laura has been the best manager at Knolls Dental Group, I keep my teeth a top priority. As a business owner and student I understand that your smile is your logo. I took Laura’s advice and continue to get my teeth cleaned every six months.
I went in the other day for my teeth whitening with one of the new staff members hannah. Wow, this girl was so nice and detailed with her work, she made me feel if I smiled, money would start falling from the sky haha. I was so happy with how my teeth looked after my session. Do yourself a favor and give them a visit, because your smile is your logo!

So far they are pretty great! I’m getting my root canal… the word ‘root canal’ makes me cringe to the floor. but it wasn’t too bad. Nobody likes to tell ppl you’ve got a root canal (how embarrassing) but I’ll admit im pleased wit it so far. I have to go bck to get the crowning. They told me that it was going to take about a week to get my crown mold back but it took two days. pretty efficient. The tip I posted before wasn’t a tip. so if u check in you get 50% of teeth whitening!
They are super sweet and personal but I think it’s because I’m a chatter box. While I was getting my teeth cleaned I was educated in profluriod. Basely it’s a protection from future cavities (it’s a seal) but it’s not a cavity prevention SO you must brush ($ 20) a price of a movie ticket and a soda. Invest in your health.
I’ll give you guys a different review once my cavities and wisdom and everything else I’m getting is done. But I hope it doesn’t change my view or my ratings

I have been going to Knolls Dental Group for around 7 years and I have always been very satisfied with their service. Their offices are newer, modern, and well figured. Their staff is generally excellent, when I first started going here Dr. Wu was my dentist and now it seems that Dr. Kim has taken over far him. I can’t say enough about how much both of these dentists have a limited my anxiety of going to the dentist. Their dental hygienist are very good and very thorough and then you can tell that they care about their work. I can never ever be a dentist so I greatly appreciate what they do.
Fortunately, I rarely have to see the dentist other than the routine cleanings. On the two occasions when I have requested service for a problem, their office has been extremely accommodating and fit me in the same day or next day. Recently I chipped my tooth and Dr. Kim was able to see me the same day and fix the problem for a very reasonable price. I can’t even tell that it was ever chipped.
