Kmart

Shopping experience is great here because it doesn’t seem to ever be that crowded inside so I have never had to wait in long lines. There’s always ample parking as well. Martha was our cashier today and she was very genuine and friendly. Glad this place exists considering Walmart seems to be the big competitive cousin.

The store has it’s share of rude employees/​customers but I still shop here. Having to call and speak to someone in customer service, good luck! You’ll be talking to a kid with a major attitude problem and no phone etiquette at all. Who answers «yeah what do you want?» when calling a place of business and ask for customer service? I always shop here but when this is the service I get over the phone it makes me not want to shop here but I like kmart so much I’m still gonna shop. I won’t expect much from their «customer service» so I’m just gonna have to help myself whenever I’m there. I wish I would’ve gotten her name when she answered the phone but like I said, RUDE!

Went in here to look at bikes. Only had the womans model on the floor and we wanted to see the mans also. Well, we got a manager by the name of Isabelle and what an angel she was!!!
She was the BEST customer service person I have dealt with in years!!! She got the mens model out of inventory and brought it downstairs by herself for us to see. She was so helpful and went above and beyond as far as we were concerned. Thank you SO MUCH Isabelle for all of your kindness!!!

This was one of my worst trips to Kmart. I will add that I don’t expect much out of Kmart. I had a return to make and I also had some things to get. After picking out my new stuff I went to guest services to make my return and purchases. Unfortunately one of my new items didn’t have a barcode to scan so they had to send someone in search of something similar (I already notified them that I looked for another one with a sticker and there weren’t any). After a really long time waiting and a lot of back and forth on walkie talkies they gave me a price. In the meantime my bf went to help look for something similar. He had no trouble and came back with something similar (unlike the store employees). Once they had the price they asked me to wait until the helped another customer whom they hadn’t even started a transaction with. I understand everyone was waiting but why not finish helping the customer that was waiting the longest.

Kmart advertised the PS4 on sale and we came into this store. According to some employees they don’t sell this game console at the store level. They told us to go on-​line to buy any type of game console. Sucks!
They said they have a waiting list for the very limited of PS4 game consoles they receive «two per order» shipments that they get on rare occasions. Really what the heck! Unacceptable!
Now were headed to the competition Kmart! Yes we’re now going to Walmart or Toys R Us. No wonder you’re losing business everyday!
I only gave you one star because I can’t give you a negative star!
You should post on your advertisements that you don’t sell these game consoles at your stores.
What a way to start my Sunday morning. Son is now disappointed.

I usually come to Kmart just to pick up a couple of things to get me through the week. Today while I’m waiting in line an employee with long braids at customer service started yelling at one of the cashiers to go on her Break and what the hell was she doing that took so long?. I mean there’s a way to talk to your co workers or subordinates.. this woman yelled at this employee from across the store with a line of customers waiting to check out. And then things got even more awkward when the employee jumped on the phone with somebody explaining the situation loudly. The girl with the braids was ghetto and pissed that «she’s a snitch».
Wtf? Can someone please explain to me why I’m spending money here and me and my impressionable child need to watch this crazy power hungry no body get ghetto and yell about nothing !! This is a business establishment. And there’s a line of customers that need to check out. I think I’m going to make a call to corporate.

I went to get a few lights for my garden and when I went to check out the cashier lady had a beard WTF???

Overall the shopping experience here is great. It’s organized and quite empty in the mornings. I can always find what I’m looking for, and the employees are somewhat eager to assist you if you can’t find an item. They will drop what they’re doing and show you where it can be found and ask if you have any more questions.
Now the cashiers are a different story. They are always stern and boring looking, like they just come for the pay check they receive and even still, do their jobs lazily. There’s almost always just 2 registers open, if you’re lucky there’s 3. They take their time scanning your stuff and eye you down. Wonder if they’re from watts or something. Still, up to this day, haven’t had a problem with them.
Outside there is plenty of parking, never have seen it full. I recommend parking a bit more out to avoid someone accidentally pushing a shopping cart at your car and scratching /​denying it.
Update: 7÷6÷15 came to buy some curtain rods, there was only one left from the one I wanted, but it was opened. I asked the cashier Morgan if she could give me some discount for it and she replied frankly with a No, and said ‘it wasn’t damaged’. I could tell the package had been there for a while as it was quite dusty. She went on to say she would go to the back and look for one. I waited 10 minutes until she returned and had to wait another 3 minutes because she couldn’t unlock her POS. should of just given me a 5 or 10% discount. Whatever, I’ll still shop at K mart regardless of this bitter cashier.

It’s amazing that this store stays in business!
The employees are straight out of Compton — ghetto, and the worst of the worst. Want to get an attitude, or an evil eye — this is the place to go. Want to wait in line for lethargic cashiers to get their asses in gear and processes transactions in the slowest amount of time? By all means, shop here! They must pay these folks bottom dollar because there’s absolutely no professionalism, and they all act like you’re a bother to be shopping there, making them do work.
Plus, of all the nerve — there’s higher prices here than Target or Walmart? Are you kidding me? This should be the next 99-​cent store, because it’s a joke! The worst store in all of Long Beach!
And, to add insult to injury — they have the nerve to ask if I want to apply for a damn Sears card upon checkout? Hell No! I’ve been waiting in line way too damn long and I just want to get the F home!
Don’t bother going here!

Very sad sad store. Merchandising and organization made zero sense. Walked around the store to try and find a few things saw several employees but no one really saying anything to guests. Finally got in line with items and only two registers open. I don’t mind waiting, it’s retail and I get it. What was more annoying was the 4 employees around the area not offering to do anything about it. Heard a manager call for back up and no even looked up. Soo that all said left our stuff and left. I do not like to leave bad reviews but this store and experience was just that bad.

I ran in here for diapers for my little one because I realized that he was out of them and I wasn’t going to run all the way home for diapers.
Decent prices, good customer service — the girl at the register was polite and nice, but not exactly quick about cashing me out.
Overall, it was a life saver that I could run in here, grab some diapers, and then take my little one into the bathroom to get him taken care of — — and all in 10 or 15 minutes.
This store seems dark and old, but I am guessing that is only because it hasn’t been updated (or re-​floored or re-​lit) in a LONG time. Since we are all now used to the overly bright stores like Target, it’s hard to shop in a place like this, BUT it does seem like the prices and stock are mostly comparable. I could see this place filling up on the weekend like a WalMart on Saturday afternoon… we are talking those kinds of prices. Based on my brief trip in here, if I lived by here I think I would choose this place over Target and WalMart based on convenience and pricing.
Overall: Would totally come back here if I needed to get something quick or was in the neighborhood.

I remember being made fun of growing up each time I mentions to my friends we went to Kmart! I hated my no for that but she loved it. I vowed never to go in but here I am, looking for gifts for relatives who are visiting for the holidays
I did indeed find what I wanted and then some! This store is sort of disorganized but overall the experience was okay, very nostalgic being here but happy with what I camehome with.

The store is a decent size. Lots of parking available. Place is kind of hidden away just behind the car lot. Layout is pretty easy to find what you need. Cashier seem friendly and u have option of emailed receipt or paper one. They also sell lotto here. Typical of other kmart stores. Store is clean and plenty of associates on the floor if u need assistance. They do lay away also.

The layout of this store is beyond annoying. I get lost so easily. Employees are hit or miss. One time I had an employee that was able to look up an item to see if they had it in stock and then walk me to where the item should be. Another time, I went over to where the batteries were and asked the employee behind the counter if they had a battery like the one in my hand. The employee didn’t look, just said I don’t know & wandered off. I ended up finding the battery on my own, a battery that I couldn’t find elsewhere. Not my favorite place to go but it’s affordable and there’s plenty of parking.

You gotta love walking in a store and all you do is run in to deals. lots of cheap items for low low prices. Plus they have a lay a way area and you also earn points which u can use at k mart or sears. I was out here useing the payment area were u can pay your bills, like I use to pay my car payment at. Staff some what helpful. Area is what it is. lots of items on sale

Let’s play «see how much crap we can put into every single aisle» and see what happens! OMG… don’t even bother grabbing a shopping cart cuz you’ll never get it down most aisles. Everything is messy and mixed up and the prices aren’t really that great compared to Target or Walmart IMHO.
No help to be found anywhere… I can’t imagine them staying open much longer.

This by far is one of the nicest and cleanest KMart’s I’ve been to, it knocks the OC locations out the park!
I came here one morning after dropping the diva off at work to see if they had anything worth buying and once I walked in it was like WOW!
First off I am a stickler for clean stores, if a store isn’t clean its a reflection of how it’s ran by management and staff. Everything was organized and clutter free, the aisles were roomy and had everything easy in accessibility meaning you won’t need to go into the deep down jungle for a shirt that’s in hiding!
They have all of the best clothing brands, I was sad that I couldn’t find what I was looking for since its Spring and it was a winter item but my mom hit the jackpot she found what she was looking for!
This store is on point and I would definitely come back, except for the stupid paper bag policy –_​– $ 0.10 to buy a paper bag grr! Darn you LA County!

Dear K Mart ,
Please die and go to retail hell.
Your store is dirty and your rules and games with your fan club or whatever the hell «the card» Is about suck.
No one is going to be this tall giclee sad when you’re gone will shop at retailers who just give good prices without the games.

The lines here are painfully slow.
If you want a bag, they are 10 cents each.
Parking lot is dirty, but a plenty.
Why in the world do I keep coming back here every week?

I’ve been a member with Sears who is a sister company. Not only because it accumulate points, last year I was able to get one free clothing almost every day in the summer last year at the Sears Outlet store.
As for Kmart, I’ve been able to get $ 3 or $ 4 every week. What? Free money?
It’s too bad they don’t sell liquor here but you can use it on just about anything, including gift cards. You just have to have patience to wait in the line.
You do need a lot of activity on your card for you to start getting the free money. Oh, and if you don’t use it within the timeframe they give you, you will lose it.
Thanks Kmart for supporting my habit of hand soap for free!
